2 Chapter 2 - First Encounter.
Without living him a single second to block or evade. The small dragon lunch towards him.
David closed his eyes and was ready to accept the attack but what happened next is the dragon stopped midway just a single meter away from him then started to walk using it's two feet.
The dragon was a small reptilian dinosaur-like. It is mainly deep greenish in color, with a light green collar around its neck. It has flat pale light green tusks protruding from either side of its mouth. It has large scarlet green eyes and a dark-green pointed horn atop its head. It is a bipedal dragon with stubby legs, small feet and claws, and a short pointed tail.
In fact, while the dragon was walking towards him. It was opening its mouth while smiling and its tongue was out like a dog ready to approach its owner.
It left David dumbfounded and ashamed. Just a moment ago he was in a thought that he will die. But now, the enemy that was supposed to kill him was acting very cute. The dragon stopped just a step away from him and lift its right hand while a word came out from its mouth.
"Aphu?" A single word came out from its mouth and tilted its head while facing David.
"Ap-hu? What?" David mimicked the small figure in front of him.
"Aphu!" The dragon nodded mysteriously.
While David was focused on their stupid conversation. A transparent board appeared in front of him with a text written in it.
[A dragon wants to become your pet. Will you accept?]
Without a second thought, David answered accept with his voice raised a little before the little figure will change its mind.
After that, David looked towards the small dragon, he smiled awkwardly then asked in a nervous tone.
"D-do you need a name?"
"Yes, master!" The dragon replied and yes, David understands what it is saying. The voice sounded like a high pitch female voice.
And once again, he was surprised. If David has a weak heart, he will not die from monsters but from a heart attack because of the unexpected things that happened from just an hour since he was transferred.
From being nervous to unexpected surprises. David knew that this was a world were fantasies exist but experiencing it in real life was a different mix of feeling inside of him.
David looked at the eyes of the small dragon then spoke.
"How about Aphu? You always say Aphu right? Thou I don't know the meaning of the word but maybe it suits your cuteness." David said.
"Really? Master said Aphu is cute?" Aphu's eyes widened while its smile is getting bigger.
"Yeah, but you scared me lately so better not do it again," David said in a serious tone.
"I used to be an aggressive type master but lately I sense someone with dragon blood so it was you master!" Aphu said excitedly.
The old man gifted David the dragon's blood. Not just any regular or ordinary blood of a dragon, but a godly type of blood that can make any dragons or dragonkin bow down to him. Especially if he will get stronger.
"So it was his doing huh." David thought to himself.
"Master? Are you okay?" Because he was in deep thought. Aphu's face showed a little concern.
"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you for worrying." He replied with a smile while patting Aphu's head.
Aphu showed a smile while pushing its head to his hand.
"Even we just met Aphu I think we are already close." David smiled while looking at Aphu.
"Yes, master because I'm cute!" Aphu said proudly.
David sat down on the ground then placed Aphu on his lap while thinking about something.
It was still morning so David has more time to look for some nearby place, a city or village to sleep for the night.
He then looks to the map and started to mark some of the red dots as primary targets. He needs to become stronger before going to a town because some humans are more monstrous than monsters. Some may backstab you why you are unprepared.
Even the old man said that he won't die unless he will do something crazy. David wants to get stronger until he can survive on his own.
"Hey, Aphu. Want to become stronger? Strong enough to rule this world?" David said while patting Aphu's head twice.
"Of course, master. What master wishes is my wish as well!" Aphu reply in a cheerful tone.
"Open map." David opened the map and asked Aphu if he can see the map as well. Luckily he can.
"I forgot something." David pondered while looking at the map.
And because of the events happened lately about Aphu's encounter and surprises. David remembered what he forgot.
"Open Status board."
Texts and numbers appeared in front of him again.

A battle rating is described as how strong the person is. Most battle ratings when you are still level one are only 100 and below, but with his race and the powers given by the old man gives him already an advantage.
