Déjà vu (2)

The noises must have come from Nikolah, as she herself was also a freak like him who woke up very early in the morning for some strange reason.

Tai had his sorcery to practice at least, but what did Nikolah wake up that early to do?

Stretching, the red haired boy put on a shirt and walked out of the room.

"Good morning."

He waved to the blue haired girl.

Nikolah raised a brow.

"Tai, it's nine o clock in the evening."

Tai tilted his head a bit, a frown over his face.

"I guess I fell asleep, then"

As he left the room, the red haired teenager felt like something was horribly wrong.

Like he had already done everything he was doing somewhere before.

Closing his eyes, the teenager tried to call forth the ancient wraith, but strangely, he could not feel anything.

"Weird."

Through out the day, Tai lazed about studying runic sorcery, destroying his almost finished batch of pencils, and killing one or two mundane beasts.

An ordinary day for him.

But he could not shake off the weird feeling that something was horribly, terribly wrong.

Claire walked up to the deck of the majestic flying ship and sat down beside the red haired teenager.

Tai smiled lightly as he waved, he was still thinking.

"Hi."

The blonde smiled back at him and waved back.

Then awkward silence followed.

Tai wasn't too busy thinking about the awful feeling of déjà vu he was going through, and Claire did not even have vocal cords to begin with.

However, while they sat down in idle silence, the blonde teenager suddenly began to twitch.

And twitch.

And twitch.

Soon, she was shaking vigorously.

Tai looked worried a little bit at first, but when she began to shake, he got worried.

"Claire?.. a..are you okay?"

However, instead of replying, the speech impaired girl suddenly grew limp.

Then she opened her eyes which were completely white without pupils and whispered.

"Three fools lay dead in ashes on a hill of gold, one in search of vanity and another in search of glory."

Tai narrowed his eyes into a squint as he frowned.

"What the heck did you just say?"

He had a very bad feeling that something dangerous would happen really soon.

Soon the blonde girl began to scream at loud decibels far above that of a ordinary human.

Which was extremely strange as the blonde girl had no vocal cords and wasn't even supposed to be capable of making sounds in the first place.

"Three Fools Lay Dead In Ashes On A Hill Of Gold, One In Search Of Vanity And Another In Search Of Glory."

"THREE FOOLS LAY DEAD IN ASHES ON A HILL OF GOLD, ONE IN SEARCH Of VANITY AND ANOTHER IN SEARCH OF GLORY."

"THREE FOOLS LAY DEAD IN ASHES ON A HILL OF GOLD, ONE IN SEARCH Of VANITY AND ANOTHER IN SEARCH OF GLORY."

Instantly, Nikolah had appeared, seemingly out of nowhere.

She must have been close by.

"We have to get her to the highest point on the island!"

In a short period of time, the three had arrived at the highest point on the entire Island.

The Black Nest itself.

It was a twisted mass of gargantuan branches that had a golden light gleaming from it's middle.

Without thinking much, the three climbed up the hill and placed the twitching body on the hill.

Cold sweat ran down Nikolah's spine ad she tried to wake the blonde girl up.

"Claire! Come back Claire!!, Clarence Voyante!!"

But Tai had a terrible feeling gnawing at his heart.

"Why the heck do I feel like something really really bad is going to happen?!"

But just to be safe, the red haired teenager walked over to the spasming Claire.

Soon Nikolah sighed deeply in relief, Claire had finally come to.

Then Tai tensed up.

It was not because he felt like he had done everything before, instead he froze because in front of him, there was an enormous dragon with gleaming obsidian scales.

In a flash, Nikolah's hair turned silver as she shot ice spikes using her ability, but at that very moment, the black dragon opened it's mouth and unleashed jet black flames at the group of three.

Tai watched as Nikolah and Claire were burnt to death and their corpses crumbled to pieces, before the flames hit him and everything went dark.

Tai had died yet again.

Tai woke up very early in the morning.

It was another day on the Black Nest after all.

For the past few days, the red haired teenager had been slaughtering mundane level beasts.

These were beasts that had absolutely no powers whatsoever.

They were actually nothing more than oversized animals without energy cores.

He had become quite used to using a sword, and had almost achieved the first step of runic sorcery.

As his daily hobby, Tai closed his eyes and began circulating his energy towards the pencil.

A creak followed by a thud, then the pencil crumbled into dust.

Tai sighed and shook his head.

"Yet another one."

Then he tensed up.

"Has this happened before?".

It may seem repetitive, but this emphasizes how long he had been put through the torture of dying
