8 (Author’s Note on Z and 7 Warlords)

After finishing chapter 7, I decided to do some write about 7 Warlords of the Sea and when they joined the World Government. Using Z's history and One Piece timeline, I made a list according to a year they joined.

Crocodile: The year 1503

Gecko Moria: The year 1510

Boa Hancock: The year 1511

Jinbe: The year 1513

Donquixote Doflamingo: The year 1514

Dracule Mihawk: Year ??

Bartholomew Kuma: Year ??

Zephyr at 64, lost his right arm during a fight with an unknown pirate with devil fruit a year 1514. For a long period of time, I believed it was Doflamingo who fought Zephyr and killed most of his students, but I concluded that it wasn't Doflamingo unless Oda confirms the story.

My reason is that at the beginning of 1514, Doflamingo began his Operation: Take over Dressorosa. It is possible that this operation anchored him on Dressrosa most of the time and to become Shichibukai, he blackmailed the World Government with the secret national treasure of Mary Geoise. So, there is no reason to attack Zephyr and his students to earn the Warlord of the Sea title, but this leads to who could have attacked Zephyr.

Ace was offered to become a Warlord in the year 1519, but he declined the offer in the end.

After eliminating five warlords, only Mihawk and Kuma remained.

According to the story Garp told in Movie: Z, the pirate who attacked Zephyr is an unknown pirate with devil fruit, we know that Midhawk isn't a pirate or devil fruit user (As we know of). For this reason, I concluded that Midhawk isn't the one who attacked Zephyr.

Kuma on the other hand is the most unknown and mysterious character among Warlords. We know he is part of the Revolutionary Army and was present when Dragon saves Sabo at the near end of the year 1513 in East Blue. We also know that Kuma wasn't a pirate and was well known among World Government due to being King of the Sorbet Kingdom.

I assume in the end that both Unknown Pirate with the devil fruit and Kuma received an offer from the World Government at the same time. This resulted in a duel to the death for the position of Shichibukai between the year 1519 to 1522, before Luffy started his adventure. In the end, I believe Kuma wasn't the one who attacked Zephyr but he killed the pirate who did, removing him from the One Piece story.
