6 The Long Forgotten Childhood - The end of a dream

Staring at the folder with the documents, specifically at the photo of the boy, she pondered on the true reason why she called Hyodo Tatsumi to the student council's office.

Her advisor, Momo Hanakai, informed her that Hyodo Issei had an incredibly strong aura and Sona decided to confirm it herself. If Momo was right and the younger Hyodo did indeed possess a strong aura, then she should stake her claim before her rival and childhood friend, Rias Gremory, who also lacked a complete set of pieces.

As it turned out, Momo was not wrong. The younger Hyodo had a very powerful aura, but there was something strange about it. It was unified in structure, but it was not so human. Sona could not understand who it belonged to, but she was determined to find out. However, she had to visit Rias first.

"Rias Gremory, 99-58-90, third-year student, the school's most beautiful woman, and head of the Occult Club. Rumor has it that she came here from Northern Europe" explained Motohama.

Meanwhile, in the Occult Club, the red-haired girl Rias Gremory whom Issei saw in the window, sat on the couch and thoughtfully stared at the chessboard.

"Yes?" said the second girl, whose figure was no less beautiful than Rias Gremory's. Calm in nature and with long hair tied in a ponytail, Himejima Akeno was Rias Gremory's childhood friend and the second most beautiful girl in the school.

"The one in the middle" said Rias.

"He's from class 2-B, his name is Hyodo, I think" said Akeno.

"Not the Hyodo who enrolled this year. Is there something wrong with him?"

"No, probably just my imagination. Checkmate" said Rias, placing a white pawn next to the black king.

"I'll have Koneko keep an eye on him." As if on cue, the door opened, but instead of Koneko, Sona Sitri, known as Sona Shitori in school, entered the club room. She was the president of the student council and a high-ranking devil like Rias. Sona's queen, Tsubaki Shinra, followed her on her right side.

"Hello, Sona. What brings you here?" Rias asked.

"Hello, Rias. I came to inform you that I'm interested in a newcomer and intend to make him part of my clan."

"Who might that be, if I may ask?"

"Tatsumi Hyodo."

"What do you see in him, besides his wild appearance, which, by the way, suits him quite well?"

"That's none of your concern, Rias. I just came to inform you."

"Fine, but I'll take his older brother" Rias said.

"That pervert? Rias, you surprise me."

"As you do me, Sona. I didn't think someone who loves rules as much as you do would be interested in a notorious hooligan."

"But this hooligan has an animal ferocity and cruelty that is combined with a wisdom in his eyes. I like it" added Akeno.

"Akeno, don't even start. Everyone knows about your tastes." Sona said.

"Anyway, this hooligan has brains. And his behavior can be corrected" said Sona, adjusting her glasses. "Or, I can speed up the natural process that started two years ago."

"Are you still reviewing the personal files of incoming students?" Rias asked, stating the fact.

Ten minutes after Sona left, Kiba and Koneko entered the club room.

"President, I have important news" Koneko said from the doorway.

"Hyodo is strange. He emanates something ancient and powerful, but I couldn't determine what it was exactly. And it's well-camouflaged, as I could only sense something different from a normal human aura when I got very close to him" explained Koneko, moving the cookie jar closer to herself.

"An unusual aura?" Rias asked.

"It's very strong for a mortal" Koneko replied, shaking slightly.

"I found traces of dragon aura in Hyodo Issei. Two different types" Konoko said, her hand trembling as she reached for another cookie.

''But the imprint of one is very weak compared to the other. Maybe Hyodo-senpai met a dragon recently, but in that case, we would have known about it."

"You're right" Rias said, looking thoughtfully at the chessboard.

"Boss, do you think Hyodo Issei has the Sacred Gear of dragon nature?" Kiba asked.

"It is possible" Rias replied.

In the evening of that same day, Issei was standing on a pedestrian bridge, leaning on the railing, and sighing heavily without knowing the plans of a certain red-haired devil.

Issei head was filled with thoughts about the world's unfairness towards him.

He was almost seventeen, and he still didn't have a girlfriend. Even his brother, a complete psycho and a hooligan, was looked at by girls in a completely different way than him. If they looked at Tatsumi with appreciation, then almost everyone looked at Issei with contempt.

"That's how my whole life will pass me by, and I won't even see tits in real life," Issei sighed sadly.

Suddenly, he heard a voice behind him say, "Excuse me, are you Hyodo Issei?" Turning around, he saw a cute schoolgirl with long black hair and large breasts.

"Yes" Issei replied, intrigued.

"My name is Amano Yuma. Will you date me?" the girl asked directly. Issei stood up, thunderstruck.

"What did you say?" he asked, not believing his ears.

"I see you constantly on this bridge, and I... fell in love with you. So... would you like to date me?" the girl repeated her question.

"This is not a dream!" Issei thought before giving her an affirmative answer. He couldn't believe his luck. Finally, a girl confessed her love to him.
