5 5 Conforming

Gold was reminded of her true identity. Her first home was in the core, and her first form was far from this one. All her years of existing came back like lightning, because of Joon's few words.

She turned her attention towards him and asked, "Did you migrate from earths' core too? I don't recall ever encountering a force like you before."

Joon smiled sheepishly and confessed " I was not forged from the core and its elements. Instead I developed on this surface land, as a combination of blue fire and ice. My existence began on this plane."

She studied him closely. He seemed more complex than his simplified explanation, but she pushed that aside for now.

" Are you one of many?"

Joon laughed out loud, " You're so curious! Yet you have not answered my original question."

She had almost surpassed his original question. Thinking back she recalled he requested to be her companion. She had originally asked the Man in the Moon. After he declined, Joon had appeared.

He was the first. Since she came to the surface she met a few aquatic life, but that was before she spoke, or felt the need to speak. He was different! She held a conversation with him and he was birth on this plane. He claimed to know of the land, air and seas. Perhaps he would be the perfect friend, since she couldn't find a companion.

Joon stared at Gold intently awaiting her reply. "Would you be my guide?", Gold exclaimed.

Joon quickly asked " Why not your companion?", he sounded a touch offended.

Joon was a taken back and down right baffled. She had asked the sun and the man in the moon, probably would have asked the sea next, to be her companion. However, when she saw him and all his glory she devalued him to a "guide". Was he not good enough to be asked to be a companion. Joon ranted in his mind, 'Did his scales not catch the full moon's light when he rose from the water?' He scoffed further, 'If she only knew what an insult that was to him. His history alone...' Externally his nostrils flared, his head tinted slightly upward, he stood stiff and erect through his spine at the thought.

His thoughts were interrupted by Gold's voice, "Are our frequencies the same?"

Joon quickly whirled his head towards her, then it dawned on him, 'That's what the man in the moon told her to look for,' he laughed. He couldn't help it. She was so new to this world and believed whole heartedly everything she was told.

The Man in the Moon had a point, but many combinations could be formed in this plane. In fact he had joined with many before her, only temporarily. All good things must end after all. He considered her words for a time, then responded " I'll let you figure that out for yourself."

Energy is never lost, only conserved or transferred. This was a basic principle of this land. Joon was not confident that was the case at the core. All the being he meet from there were on this plane. he had never traveled to the core himself. His thoughts were not drawn to that part of the word, but the tide was changing in a way. Joon was now drawn to Gold. Her lack of experience in this world sparked his curiosity in living again. By this point, Joon was kind of jaded by the world. Gold was something new and different to explore.

She did not morph her form like him. However, the curls and waves of the water were her hair. Fluid and moving with her mannerisms, it was hypnotizing. Even her tones were contrasting to his, and seemed to take in, almost seemed to absorb the little light that touched it in the cavern. He's eyes could see her clear as day in the low light, which made him revered her as lovely.
