1 Prologue

Seventeen Years ago, Ozpin's P.O.V

I was sitting in my office looking through some files with a cup of coffee in my hands, waiting to hear of any news from Qrow about the strange power fluctuations on the far side of emerald forest. Though I guess I didn't have to wait much longer as I see the elevator open to see Qrow come rushing in with something in one arm and a scythe of some sort in the other.

Ozpin: "Qrow what's that in your hands"

Qrow: "Ozpin I'm not too sure it looks like a Faunus but one I have never see before". the half-drunk man said as he laid the scythe pulling out his flask and taking a swig

Ozpin: "Bring it to me and let me have a look" Qrow walks over to the grey-haired man giving him the Faunus. "Wow...you were right I've never see something like this before. How did u find him Qrow tell me everything?"

Qrow's POV Seven hours earlier

I was walking through the emerald forest I could feel the energy signature getting stronger. I've been out here for hours looking for whatever it is causing this powerful energy. Thirty more minutes of walking till I found where it was coming from.

I see an old man kneeling over a baby with a giant black and blue scythe in his hands, largest scythe I have ever laid eyes upon. 'What is he doing to it?'

???. "I know you're there come out and I won't kill you."

I walk out cautiously with my weapon drawn ready for anything. 'His power is immense he could easily kill me as I would drink alcohol'.

???. Why are you here have you come to kill this little king? If so I will exterminate you right now.

It was at this time that I stopped moving forward. I hate to admit this, but I was terrified of this old man's power. 'Wait what does he mean by little king?' I thought to myself.

"I'm sorry I don't understand stand what you mean by little king".

???: *sighs*. "This little guy is the next dragon king as he was born from the previous king and queen. We are from a different dimension, a world that has fallen into chaos due to multiple races banding together to kill us. I was asked but his father to escape from that world, to raise him up as my own son but as I was about to finish the portal to this world I was attacked by ten thousand enemy soldiers. Even though I was out numbered I managed to not only complete the portal but also wipe out the enemy force, but not without these sustaining these injuries".

I just stood there in shock of what I am hearing. I have never believed before I didn't even think it was possible for that to happen.

"Then are you his dad?"

???: Don't ever compare me to such a great king! I am just an old friend of his that has been asked to look after his son, but right now he is hurt badly hurt so I'm trying to link his soul to my scythe, so I can then seal my power and soul inside of my scythe to save him or he will die.

I just stand there trying to take in all this information in. Then the old man looked at me.

???: Can I ask of you for a favour?

"Yes, what is it that you ask of me". I take a swig of my flask.

???: I ask of you to look after this boy until he is strong enough to look after himself as he will be hunted by powers stronger then you could imagine as I will be in a deep sleep as I recover from using too much power to save him.

"Yes, I will look after the boy for you since you asked so nicely, and I couldn't just leave him out here knowing a baby is alone". That and I don't want to know what would happen if I said no".

???: Thank you, though if I find out he has been treated poorly I will possess him and exterminate you and anyone you know got it.

I nod in fear of what he is capable of. Not long after that the old man disappeared from my site fusing with the scythe. I walk over to pick him up with a surprised look on my face as I have never since something like this before.

Ozpin's POV

"Wow that is some experience do you truly believe he could do what he said if this boy was treating poorly".

"Yes, I do his power far exceeds anything I have ever felt in my whole life Ozpin. I believe not even if the maidens all joined forces could stop him, he would walk over them like they were nothing".

I stood there pondering what to do next for a moment then I came up with an idea.

"Qrow I will take this boy in as my own and show him the kindness we have been asked to provide him and once he has activated his aura we shall train him, and I mean as soon as he activates it".

"Ok Ozpin but I really don't do the whole baby thing so have fun with that. I'm going to fill my flask up now see you around".

As he leaves I turn my head to look at him I realize something.

"He doesn't have a name yet hmm I think I'll name you Alduin".

Five and a Half Years later

Ozpin POV

It's been five months since Alduin first activated his semblance or what I assume is his semblance and started his training with me. I have to say his power is incredible he seems to be able to control multiple elements as he has some control of fire and lighting, although they are very strange looking as his fire is blue and his lighting is purple but for some reason they feel much stronger than normal fire and lighting. He has grown a lot and his wings are getting stronger to the point that he can fly now, not very fast but can fly none the less.

"Hey dad can I ask you something".

"Yes, Alduin what is it you would like to ask me".

"When will I be allowed outside".

"Well son I was going to tell you that in five months' time you will be going with uncle Qrow for a few years while he continues your combat training and to get real world experience".

The young boy looked at his dad with a giant smile on his face. He was jumping on the spot. He was too excited to finally be let outside for the first time since we found him. I always told him that the reason he was to stay inside was that he wasn't strong enough.

"But Alduin for now let's get back to your hand to hand combat ok"

He just nods in response and follows me into the training room. He has unnatural combat skills he picks up what I teach him extremely quick I've never seen such a fast improvement of skills such a brief period. His future will be very bright indeed I look forward to them man he becomes till then I'll continue to treat him with the love he shows me.

Two Years Later Yang's POV

It's been one and a half years since uncle Qrow brought Alduin to live with us, so my dad and uncle could train him. But he is strong already uncle crow told me that he can push him to use fifty percent of his strength now as to ten percent when he first arrived with him. Uncle Qrow also told me that he has extreme physical strength he could barely lift his huge scythe when he arrived but now he can swing it for about an hour before collapsing.

I hope I can be strong like he is one day. After the time he saved me from three Beowulf's a few months ago I've liked him, but I know that soon he will be leaving again with uncle Qrow on missions now he is strong enough. But I have never really seen his face because he always wears that reaper like costume I don't know why but if I see him again I hope I get to see what he looks like. But since he is here at home right now I might as well ask him why.

"Hey Alduin".

"What's up firecracker".

I love that nickname he gave me because it is the perfect. He is so nice to me and rubes too he has never been angry at us even with we have done something he asked us not to.

"Why haven't you shown us what you look like".

"Oh umm… dad told me to not show anyone what I looked like till he told me to".

"Well who is your dad? You never told me that either".

"I'm sorry Yang but I'm not allowed to tell you that either for now".

"Oh! ok then. You have to promise me that once you can tell me you will".

He just nods at that request. After half an hour uncle Qrow walks in drinking as he normally does.

"Hey kid it's time for us to leave now. Oz has a mission for me and he told me to take you with me so go pack your things because we leave tomorrow morning".

"Ok, it's about time he sent me on a mission but it's too bad I'm going on one with some drunk old man".

"Hahaha uncle Qrow it seems like you're starting to rub off on him more than you thought you would".

"Hehe, he has got some quick wit for a baby".

"I'm might be a baby but I'm getting close to kicking your ass old bird".

I just laugh and so does uncle as he leaves the room. 'I'm really going to miss him'.

Two and a Half Years later Neo POV

Roman asked... more like told me to find information on this 'reaper' character that's popped up around 6 months ago not much is known about him except he wears grim reaper clothes and mask, is a very dangerous and is a few years younger than me. Not much else is known not even his semblance or weapon.

But right now, I'm just guarding some white fang members while they steal the dust from this Atlas warehouse. Though I just can't shake this feeling like we are being watched, it's creeping me out.

BOOM!!!

What the fuck was that explosion? I stand ready for anything when the front doors suddenly brake open and fall off their hinges by two white fang members that come flying through them. The thirty white fang members with me get ready for whatever just beat the shit out of our guys, by pointing their guns at the door. Then a small figure walks out of the smoke, that's when I realise who is here.

Reaper: "I'll say this once leave now and you will live, if not then you die".

WFM1: "Hahaha it's just a little kid. Why should we fear someone that looks like he just stopped breast feeding?".

WFM2: "hey kid why don't you go back to your ma".

I couldn't see what just happened except the white fang member fall to the floor throat slit as blood pours out of his throat. I step back worried he might kill me how can this kid be this strong he doesn't even look 10. Though I guess I don't even look my age even he is a little taller than me.

"I'll say this one last time leave or die".

They start to rush him while I just stand there frozen in fear as I watch member after member have either their throats slit or be completely decapitated all together. In less than 30 seconds all the white fang members lay on the floor dead. He then suddenly appeared in front of me my legs start shaking as I look into his bright azure blue eyes stare at me.

"Are you going to attack me as well"

I shake my head, then write on my scroll

"Please don't kill me".

"I won't since you didn't attack me, but I know who you are... Neopolitan".

My eyes widen to the fact he knows who I am, does that mean he knows who I work for. I need to ask he, so I start typing.

"How do you know how I am".

"I have known who you are for 6 months now, after all it's my job to know who you are. But not just you but the people you work for. Roman Torchwick, Cinder Fall and what I'm guessing the soon to be leader of the White Fang Adam Taurus. Though Cinder is a psychopath and I know that you don't like her very much do you."

I giggle at his comment about Cinder and nod.

"But how did you know who we are." I type out on my scroll.

"Oh, your security isn't as strong as you think it is cutie, I've been inside that base of yours before though I'm not strong enough to kill Cinder yet but once I am I will take her life for putting people I care about in harm's way".

My eyes widen when he told me he knows where our base is and how could we have not known about that. I then start to type on my scroll again.

"I would like it if you could manage to kill her she is nothing but a bitch. But please don't kill Roman he is all the family I have got left".

"I thought that would be the reason you help her. You're loyal to him for taking care of you and I respect that, I can tell that you're not as bad as the others. Though you do like chaos a little bit too much. It's just what you have been around for most of your life, after all someone as cute as you can't be all bad".

I blush a little when he called me cute not many people call me stuff like that only roman has called me cute before. It was nice to hear from someone else other than Roman. I start to type on my scroll again.

"Thank you for the compliment, but can I just ask how old are you".

"No problem and I am turned ten three months ago on June 16th. I have an idea have an idea how about I give you my scroll number, so we can stay in touch I don't think you're a bad kid just stuck with the wrong crowd. And if we meet up again I'll buy you some ice cream".

"Really you would buy me ice cream".

He nods.

"Then I would love to hang out one time I can't say no to someone that offers me ice cream".

He chuckles a little bit at that and puts his hand out for my phone. When I give it to him he puts number in the phone under Alduin and tells me not to tell anyone that that's his real name, then he asked me if it was ok to call Roman.

"Ok who is this using Neo's phone? She can't talk so I know it's not her calling me".

"Hello Roman, this is Reaper calling you to tell you I know who you are and who you work for, don't worry Neo is fine I'm just using her phone to tell you I know where your base is and that I will be watching for now on. It was nice talking to you carrot top headed bitch bye".

I giggled a little at the name he gave Roman as he handed me my scroll back. He then turned away from me and started walking towards the door. But not before saying one last thing

"See you around my little tub of sweetness".

I blush at that name it was cute and made me happy that he called me sweet.

But I didn't know that would be the last time I would see him for a while, he would text me every now and again, but I couldn't risk being around him and he couldn't risk it either.

6 Years later Blake's POV

I was running from the White Fang members that Adam sent after me when I went rouge after not agreeing with how they were now running the group. 'Shit there are a lot of them how many did he need send after me.' That's when I ran into someone and fell over.

"Sorry I didn't see you there".

I look up to the hand that's close to my face, I grab it as the hand pulled I got a look at what the person was wearing and that's when I realized who it was. Really how anyone could not realize who he was when he is wearing a grim reaper outfit. I started to freak out as I stare at the azure blue eyes that continue looking at me, knowing full well who I just ran into.

"Hello Blake, I see you finally left the new white fang didn't like how it is run now right? Not that I could blame you when they changed so drastically

As he talks to me the White Fang members that were chasing me arrive. He looks at me and whispers to my ear.

"Let me take care of them for you."

I turn around as he walks towards the group. I didn't understand how he knew my name, I've never met reaper before, but he doesn't seem as bad as I was told he was.

"I am Reaper you are not allowed to harm Blake Belladonna because as of now she is under my protection. If I find out she has been harmed by Adam I will kill him, he knows I can and will, so don't push your luck. Now leave and give Adam this message before I change my mind".

As I watch the White Fang members run for their lives Reaper turns back to me and walks towards me. My legs start to shake a bit even though I know he said, "I'm under his protection", he just scares me to the point of almost passing out. If even Adam feared him then he isn't someone to fuck with.

"I've been waiting to talk to you for a while Blake Belladonna, but I couldn't risk talking to you while you were part of the White Fang not for my safety but yours."

"Why have you wanted to talk to me if you have come here to kill me please don't I don't want to help Adam anymore now that power has corrupted him."

"I know, that is why you left the White Fang. I just want to know what you plan to do now that you have left."

"Well I'm not sure I was thinking of joining beacon next year, as I need to become stronger, so I can stop the White Fang before they do something horrible."

"Ah I see, that's good then. I'll put in a recommendation for you, so you have an easier time getting accepted."

"Wait you would really do that for me."

"Of course, I would help out a fellow faunus and I'd definitely help out one as cute as you are."

"Thank you... did you just say fellow faunus so you're a faunus to."

"Yes and no, I am but I'm not at the same time. But that's beside the point pass me your scroll so I can give you my number so that if you're ever danger you can text me and I'll come find you."

He walks up to me and holds his hand out. I give him my scroll, so he can put his number into under Reaper and hands it back. As he pats my head he says one last thing to me.

"Now go stay at Beacon till you can officially join Beacon Academy. it's much safer there, I'll get Professor Ozpin to look after you till I see you again. But right now, I got to go my iddy biddy little kitty".

I look up blushing but when I did he already disappeared from my site. 'I hope I seen you again soon Reaper'.
