49 Void Tutoring

As soon as Tyler said those words, Andrew understood and bewilderment crossed his expression with a little disbelief, "It's only been a couple of weeks and you say you're ready?"

"Before we go any further, which continent are you on?"

"I think I remember it being called Lumeria… Is this important?"

"Do you know of the history of AlKo online?"

"I've been focusing on grinding so I haven't gotten there yet," All three of them arrived at the living room where Andrew continued, "If you say you're ready to finally meet up in-game then you must've gained some form of power?"

"You could say that… tell me about both of your conditions."

"I'm an E~grade elven mage that's learning to become an aeromancer and possibly an enhancer. I was also extremely fortunate to join a famous guild by pure luck! My synchronization rate did wonders for me and they noticed my godlike talent and potential!"

Some of the more skillful private beta players have reached the E~grade already so they were either tyrants or idols among the newbies who were still at the F~grade.

He looked so proud and smug as he raised his chin slightly, nearly making Tyler laugh. This situation felt somewhat similar to their last visit to the Golden Lamp and he was internally cracking up.

They kept on talking and they learned about each other's avatar and other aspects. Tyler didn't lie to them, but he was purposely extremely vague as to not give away the surprise.

Amelia started playing during the open beta and she was doing really well for a not-too-serious gamer. She was a beast girl with some pretty decent talents in close combat. She was also slightly hazy about her race which flagged Tyler. Andrew was sitting right next to her so he didn't notice her slightly fidgety demeanor whenever her race was brought up. He's known her for well over a year and not many things could make her indifferent personality waver so much.

"Hmmm…"

"W-Why are you looking at me like that?" She was beginning to suspect that he noticed something off about her and she failed to think of what to do.

"Is Andrew explaining the game to you properly? You seem a little confused about certain things."

She heaved a silent sigh of relief and reassured Tyler that she was doing fine, using the excuse that she was a little sleepy. They both side-glanced at her but didn't pursue any further.

"If you both want, I can put in a good word for you, and maybe you can get into the guild with me."

"I'm already a part of a guild."

"How- Ohh, I forgot you gained a bunch of resources from the lottery. My offer still stands if you change your mind."

"I'll think about it, tell me where you both are and I'll come to you guys soon. It will probably take a while though."

…..

Kyren logged back in and woke up from his deep slumber. The old man was meditating with some literature strewn about around him.

"I thought you would never wake up. You weren't lying when you said you were a heavy sleeper…

Anyways, we shall start with the main part of training now so get ready."

They cleaned up and then moved to the edge of the crystal and gazed over the unreal scenery.

"We'll be training from now on up there," He pointed upwards towards the floating chunks and islands of metallic crystal clusters.

"That isn't just for show?"

"We are currently on the first level of the Turbulent World. Every level that we go up, the mana density and danger will exponentially increase. This level is for the weakest of transcendents with T~grade power.

I believe that each level represents every grade of power above the Mortal Realm so you should be able to go up one floor at least. The resources up there are more plentiful so training will yield better results."

"You're not coming?"

"The skill I used on your forehead when you first entered this dimension to relieve the pressure you felt will only do so much and will fail once it gets past the surface level. I will be instructing you remotely so don't worry," He raised his palm and a pink ribbon burst out and gently wrapped around his forehead and a voice appeared in his head, :::This is a watered-down null spell of an actual mind spell. We'll use this to communicate and I can see through your vision if you allow.:::

"Uhh, okay," Worry began to creep up on him slowly but he didn't let it show physically or mentally.

<It's fine, he won't be able to even hear a whisper of our conversation.>

Kyren relaxed as Leo's presence would be quite difficult to explain. He looked towards the nearest drifting landmass and squatted down, "I should only need a small amount of power…"

As soon as he willed his legs to launch him up, the energy and stamina went berserk and the manatium under them cracked and threatened to buckle as he disappeared leaving an afterimage. Lucien looked around in bewilderment as he failed to grasp what was happening.

More than five seconds passed and terrifyingly intense winds burst upwards, knocking a S~grade like him over effortlessly. The manatium continued to slowly crack from top to bottom, almost covering the entire thing.

*Fwooshhh* *BAANNNGGG*

Deafening gusts and cracks were instantly drowned out by the sound barrier being broken and the old man's mind shook while his ears rang. This created a few tiny waves in the ichor that traveled for a long while.

It all happened in a split-second but the aftershocks lasted for about a minute. After everything calmed down somewhat, Lucien got his bearings and immediately investigated. The ichor smoothed and the crystal began mending and fixing itself

"*Sigh* Thank goodness manatium uses the surrounding mana to repair itself otherwise there would be trouble… what the hell happened anyway?!"

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Meanwhile, somewhere deep within the third level in the Turbulent World thousands of meters above the surface, a small crater began to repair itself after an awful impact. Gravity had a pretty firm grasp on it so it wasn't straying off its orbit around the sun-cube. Kyren's body slowly peeled off, leaving a human-shaped dent where he used to be. He unequipped his shirt, sprouted wings, landed on the top-side, and retracted them while equipping them again.

<Congratulations on being the first player to break the sound barrier with their own power! You may go to the Shrine of Honor to claim your achievement reward.>

Speechlessness was his only reaction.

<Probably should've told you that your power is slightly volatile due to your incompletion of [Transcendent Honor]..... Good learning experience though am I right!>

"SLIGHTLY!?!"

<Imagine if you used all of your strength? At least there was some restraint so feel lucky.>

'Will this happen every time?!'

<That will entirely depend on your completion progress of [Transcendent Honor]. Just be prepared.>

'So the only way to get more progress is to train and use my powers, but if I use them, I could cause a disaster? That's bull…'

<By the way, the skill that's been restraining the pressure up until now will shatter in around half a minute. Going by what the old geezer said, the third level is meant for beings one grade above you so I would brace yourself in case you don't make it back down.>

'He was about to use the edge as a springboard to launch himself downwards when a dangerous thought crossed his mind, 'Should I stay? Can I withstand this level of power?'

<HA, I commend you for your wishful thinking. Things are vastly different compared to the Mortal Realm and Transcendent Realm strength differences. The power level between your grade and the one above yours is just too excessively tremendous even with your overwhelming resistance to magic.

Moreover, if the next grade of power is one of the upper grades of the Transcendent Realm, then the power difference could be compared to a pebble and a hill.>

Before Leo could lecture him anymore, he gave in and launched down one level. His strength didn't go overly berserk like earlier so he didn't overshoot it by too much. The skill finally broke and magic that felt stiflingly dense even for him tried its best to pin him down. He wasn't affected in the slightest though.

Once he dusted himself off, Lucien's voice invaded his head with an anxious tone, :::Kyren?! You exited my range of communication and I thought you got kicked out! *sigh*:::

'I'm fine, just had a "slight" mishap with my new powers.'

:::SLIGHT?! Ughh, I guess I need to get used to this… Anyway, let's start our first lesson. We'll be going super easy at first to get you into the proper mindset.:::

The first test was to improve his dimensional storage by enough where he could store many things but also not use up too much mana and mental energy. Lucien went into great detail on how the spell worked. Many spells throughout history are weaker versions of actual spells to let everyone use them. Dimensional storage was invented by Ulysses both originally and in null form. Making these findings public greatly contributed to him becoming a Grand Magus because it helped greatly during the Eternity War.

Visualization and imagination were the keys to improving these types of spells that needed no training or practice like combat abilities. It was easier to think of a room with its walls moving outwards and enlarging.
