51 Void Tutoring III

Once a creature gains a certain amount of power, they begin to develop partial or complete sentience. Kyren communicated with the Kraken and it responded reasonably well. They both stood in a standoff on opposite sides as the Kraken readied a spell. Several minutes later and dark figures exited its shadow and they morphed into identical Krakens numbering eight in all. This spell is used was similar to summoning an exact clone of similar strength and abilities but abysmal health to his knowledge.

The clones all simultaneously launched a barrage of hundreds of whips at him with as much force as possible. Kyren winced as he went into hyperfocus, readying to take the attack head-on. Even if he was much stronger than a couple of them combined, all of these attacks could do a little damage to him. He wasn't a fool or a masochist, this was just in the name of research and he needed to be attacked to see if it worked.

As soon as the tentacles were about to pierce or slice him, he used [Teleportation] and appeared at a safe distance after giving up.

"Gahh, why can't I get this right, I don't see what's wrong?! I've lost count of how many attempts this is now!" Frustration was beginning to overcome his voice from his numerous complete failures.

:::Don't give up now that you're committed to it. I don't know what you're trying to do but I suggest you just clearly imagine the mana expenditure, process, and outcome of this spell in the greatest detail you can muster.:::

"Yes, Teacher."

He calmed down immediately and forgot about the previous struggles, starting from scratch. Mental notes and ideas flooded his mind as he recreated the spells foundation and basic needs using Lucien and Leo's instructions.

In Kassio City, the girls were all doing different things as per Kyren's note.

Krista managed and trained her master's personal army and it was going exceptionally well. Since they were chosen by the slave trade to be sold to nobility, they all had remarkable and extremely unique talents. Their loyalty to their savior also hyped them up to serve him and from how they've been treated so far, they were certain he was a reliable person. Krista was also given plenty of free time to do her own things like partaking in small and short missions like the diehard adventurer she was.

Rayna would periodically train under Krista but she liked to do her own thing since Kyren didn't give her that many tasks to do while he was gone. She sometimes visited the other girls to bond with them or played silly games with Serena. She also bashfully used the toy her master gave her from time to time. Since he was linked to the device, he was notified every time she used it and it became a "unique" form of communication to tell Rayna that he was alright. It was super cheesy but she enjoyed it.

Maya was given the biggest job and if not for her specialized attributes, she would be having a difficult time keeping up with minimal staff. Because Kyren wanted to only hire those she absolutely trusted, it was slightly tiresome but a reasonable aspiration. She was tasked with creating the foundations for a massive and terrifying organization. Guiding the ex-slaves that had economically valuable talents and jobs was also important for their growth. Using the hardly dwindling supply of platinum coins, she was able to purchase numerous high-value plots of land within and outside of major cities and towns. She was only ordered to prepare things so they were using funds without any income. This worried her but she believed he had a plan. Darien and his wife also helped out where they could in both forging and cooking as instructors or in making products.

The Empire was ignorant of the growing colossus right in their backyard. The Emperor ordered the investigation of the mysterious foreign power that appeared on his doorsteps not too long ago but Maya was overly cautious so their search was to no avail.

The Templars' efforts to scour Kassio for the demon or the hooded Dragon Slayer were coming up dry. None of their unholy detection tools worked on anything either which further baffled them. Edmund felt doom and depression loom over him as his future was being ruined by a single mission, his first mission in fact! Fury burned deep in his heart.

Players on the other hand were shaking the world's countless millennia of foundation to its very core, unlike the Eternity War. Their methods of gaining strength, immortality, free will, unity and disunity, aggressiveness, and ambition for power were stifling every civilization they infiltrated. Guilds, clubs, and clans were claiming and fighting to the death for territory and resource/creature filled lands. The world would've gone into utter chaos and maybe war if it weren't for the players' willingness to help out where they could at random (missions). They were beginning to be treated as mercenaries and everyone calmed down... somewhat.

The church also tiresomely tried to recruit the Immortal Souls but they were being rejected at every corner. Those that did accept all seemed to be nutcases! They were forced to experiment with other methods to poach players... Bribery only worked if the price was ridiculously high, even for them, and threatening only caused players to band together to push their forces back. Fighting immortal beings, albeit weak, that had no fear for death and seemed to thrive and grow stronger whenever they killed/defeated anything so they weren't the ideal opponent for the church or anyone for that matter. They were on the losing side for once in hundreds of years and they disliked it greatly.

In the royal palace within the Alvestine capital city in a lavish hallway during the nighttime with no lights on, a hooded figure walked down the hallways swiftly in the direction of the closest exit.

*creeaaak*

"*Yaawwnn* Who are you, mister?" A tired and drowsy cute voice called out innocently from the now opened door. The adorable voice belonged to Aisha, the first princess of the Alvestine Empire.

The hooded figure was stunned that he didn't notice a single noise come from her room before she was about to exit and hesitated on what to do. He turned away and continued walking, saying in a forcefully disguised and deep voice, "Pretend you never saw me..."

"Hmm? Brother Ellie, is that you?"

"Mrmmph!" The hooded figure was stopped dead in his tracks as he was instantly recognized. Not that he would expect any less from a genius like her. The figure was Elroy, the crowned prince of Alvestine and the little brother of Aisha.

"Where are you going so late at night?"

"Just go back to sleep and ignore what you saw!" Although it was dark and they couldn't see each other, he knew his sister well enough to know that she was making puppy-dog eyes and he caved, "Fine, I'm going to Glassios city."

"Why?"

"I have to see her again..."

A familiar scene of Kyren and nine Krakens in a standoff was recreated once more.

A new passion was ablaze in his eye's as a victorious smile covered his mouth, "This is it, I'll definitely get it right this time so don't hold back!"

The old man who was paying close attention before now paid even closer attention to scrutinize every detail. Kyren was yet to actually use this spell so he was on the edge of his seat to witness whatever trick he had up his sleeve.

This time was different than their usual bouts because the Kraken prepared many spells and thunderclouds high above them to increase his attack power. Hundreds of tentacles, thunderbolts, water jets, and many more attacks were launched at Kyren with full power like guided missiles. The creature even used a couple of tier VI and VII spells to spice things up.

*CRACKLE* *BOOMMM* *KABOOM*

Explosions and lights flashed so brightly that the old man who meditated on the surface level could see them as clear as day, even feel them while taking a negligible amount of damage.

Suddenly, a noise began to ring above the rest of the terrible dins and confusion swept over the Kraken and old man alike. After more of the shockwaves started to clear out, the sound was apparent to all and it made their hearts drop... egotistical and healthy laughter was booming from the origin of the explosions about where Kyren should've been.

"There's no way he-" Lucien checked his student's vision and he went deathly pale, which was concerning for his age. Within a one-foot bubble around the perfectly unharmed Kyren was land and air looking perfectly fine. The crystals outside of this radius were charred, cracked, wet, steaming, and thrashed to the point that he was worried if they could actually recover themselves.

Strong static electricity lingered on the ground and in the air and some traveled towards Kyren after going rampant. As soon as it got close to that imaginary border, it just disappeared into a faint purple light and caused no damage to him whatsoever. In fact, he seemed to gain more energy from the attack as though he absorbed it.

"Hahaha! It worked so well! Maybe too well!"

<Congratulations on being the first player to invent a spell with a tier of 8! You may go to the Shrine of Honor to claim your achievement reward.>

Congratulations on inventing [Absolute Invulnerability]... updating spell…

Absolute Invulnerability

{Element}

Void//Null

{Grade}

Tier VIII

{Type}

Protection//Reality Altering Spell

{Cost}

200,000,000 mana per second

0.4% of total mental energy per second

Additional mana costs depend on attacks received

{Passive Ability}

<Absolute Nullification> Any an all attacks, auras, skills, abilities, and talents will be received by molecular-sized dimensional gates and absorbed into a separate dimension where they can no longer harm the caster. Kinetic energy, mana, stamina, inertia, etc are all nullified and passed onto a sub-dimension. You will gain the [invincibility] status effect during the active time of this spell.

<Void Siphoning> Anything within this special dimension can be absorbed to recover any stats to an extent. Excess energy will deplete over time.

{Active Ability}

<Absolute Counter> Use energy gained in an attack to deal the same damage back at your opponent with an additional +200% increase to attack power and speed.

<Independant Sheild> Detach a part of your barrier to defend from a distance for additional mana and mental energy cost.

<???> You are not allowed to use this ability yet.

{Description}

This spell is one giant step closer to godhood as it grants total invincibility for an extended period of time using a loophole in the laws of magic. This spell however creates a massive strain on the mind as the caster is forced to manage countless dimensional gates on the molecular level. Any type of energy or attack can be absorbed by the barrier to contribute to maintaining itself.

{Restraints}

Must have above 10% of your total mental energy left to keep active

{Backlash}

During the duration of the spell, you will go into a slight [dazed] state. After the spell is over, You will gain a [dazed], [light headed], and [headache] status effect depending on the total duration of the spell.

<Remark>
