23 Truth of the Void Armageddon

The lion beast man sat crisscrossed in the corner of the white room as he studied Kyren's movements shocking movements. He ate some large chunks of meat and bread as he contemplated on his progress.

'This kids growth potential is terrifying even for dragon! It's only been 4 weeks in this time slowed environment, yet he's now swinging even my heaviest weapons like their toys... not even I was this scary when I was younger.'

A heavy *Sigh* left his mouth as he compared the youth to himself in his earlier days.

'He's already able to eat far more than I myself can.... I guess I'll have to give him something like 'that' to quench his ambition for power.'

Kyren swung two overly large great swords at a simulated creature the beast man created. It was slaughtered in a instant and it's torn corpse disappeared along with the rest of the mangled creatures.

Mega breserkers hardly ever used defense, only parries and counters, so Kyren's draconic fortitude was a match made in heaven for this combat class as it protected his flaws.

"Hey kid, come here for a sec."

Kyren arrived before the man in a split second dispite the thousand pound weapons in his hands.

"If you're able to transform from dragon to human, then you must have the Gene Transformation talent. I'll give you an additional gene option to chose from but it will be painful and hard to endure. Do you want it?"

Goliath is the third main evolution tree for the giant race, right after the gargantuan. It's size and explosive strength are massive. Not many giants can reach this level of power so it's an extremely rare race. If your able to wield even 5% of its genes, then you're human form will be able to tower over any 3 story building.

"Absolutely!" He hit (Yes) and (Confirm) as he bubbled with excitement. This was the first time he's been able to find another species to transform into, 'Leo, make sure to closely analyze and record the process!'

"Since I'm not alive, I can't transfer the genes to you directly through the blood ritual, so I'll have to use an alternative method.... this will hurt a lot."

He raised his hand over Kyren's head and a couple magic circles appeared all over the area, all pointing at him.

The mana in the room exploded and the entire city felt the mana spike despite the white room's efforts to suppress it.

Due to the time slow, it only lasted a split second for the outside world. Everyone was terrified because this pressure could only be fabricated by some great monster from the war.

The magic circles materialized into bright white and black flames in the form of lances. The flames gave off no heat despite being so powerful and violent.

"I-I won't die or get cursed from this... right?"

"Probably not... maybe... I hope not."

"!!!"

Before he could take back his acceptance of such suicidal behavior, the white flame javelins reeled back and shot at his heart far faster than bullets.

When they pierced him, he felt nothing.

But then, a second later, every fiber of his being screamed as he fell down, nearly going unconscious. If it weren't for that Mega Berserker training, he would have absolutely died instantly.

This went on for about an entire week before his mind cleared and the pain went away.

When a proficiency is maxed out, there is a chance that it will be upgraded to an advanced version. After that was immaculate, but that level of proficiency practically always belonged to the beings in the Transcendent Realm.

The pain reducer went from 7% to 8%, but that didn't help because of the upgrade. He now had 8% pain reduction because the proficiency's level reset.

When he recovered, he was ordered to do even more hellish training while applying his new found power. He gained enough control that whenever he'd strike, his arms or legs would unconsciously swell and buff out only slightly, increasing his destructive power.

He also gained enough control over the Goliath genes that he could make his human form grow to 4-5 stories of immense muscles. He could get larger than the beast man. Sadly he couldn't test out his dragon form because it was simply too big for the room.

"You've learned all I could teach you, are there any questions before I leave?" He took an especially big drumstick and started devouring it.

"Two questions, where does all that food go if your dead?"

"Hmmmmm, if I remember correctly, the spirit energy of the dead animal in the meat is converted into strength for me while the food is discarded. We spirits don't have to eat though, this was just a big habit I had back when I was alive."

"Okay, then how do you keep obtaining so much food?"

"Oh that! An old friend taught me some void magic so that I can 'borrow' food from around the world."

When he meant borrow, he actually meant snatch. Some of his favorite places to take food from treated him as a deity and the food as offerings. This amused him when he was alive so he didn't stop them even though he was far from being a real god.

"You can use void magic! Can you teach me anything please?!"

"Y-you're a void user!"

"Yes and I've been having trouble lear—"

His massive hands grabbed his shoulders, nearly suffocating him. Pleading eyes bore into Kyren with a deep sorrow.

"Please save him for me!"

"????????"

"My old friend that taught me void magic was named Ulysses and I died by his hands on the Origin Battlefield when the war ended 150 years ago. The people of this world make Ulysses and all void users look like the bane of all existence because of his actions."

"Why would you want me to save your killer?" Billions of thoughts and questions raced through his head like a tornado.

"I would gladly die if I was in that situation again!"

"Hold up, start from the beginning and tell me what happened."

150 years ago on the present day Origin Battlefield, a final battle was about to take place of monumental proportions between the under world and the over world.

Every top expert from around the globe participated and it was going to be the largest battle since the war started. Transcendent Realms, S~grades, A~grades and millions of other powerhouses participated in this battle.

Ulysses discovered terrible news as to why the demonic armies movements were so odd at that time. Even the beast man himself didn't know why the demonic armies movements were so out of character.

They deployed countless Elder Dragons, Noble Archdemons, Devils, etc to guard the gate between worlds as though it was their lifeline. Even the great Demon Kings that were currently leading the war were guarding the entrance like dogs. This caused the over world to worry and question: "What being will come out of that gate to make the Elder Dragons and Demon Kings alike, be so nervous and fidgety?"

Ulysses knew the answer and was scared shitless despite being one of the few in the Transcendent Realm on the over worlds side.

He rushed to the center of the battlefield and started casting a mass destruction/sacrifice spell in hopes of minimizing the damage that thing in the portal would cause.

"You're calling the Void Armageddon, minimizing damage?"

"Hard to believe huh? I didn't believe it either until 20 odd years ago when I figured out the truth of what really went down after both sides were sacrificed to that spell.....

The spell sacrificed both armies, shattered the world into thousands of pieces, and caged Ulysses himself in an eternal prison all just to stop that portal from opening."

Pinnacle-grade spirits were given many privileges and one of them was gaining temporary access to the living world. On one of the beast mans excursions, he decided to investigate his death but was shocked when he found the truth.

"What was supposed to come out?"

The beast man looked around to check if he was being watched and started tracing on the floor not daring to say it out loud as though it was the ultimate taboo.

'One of the seven Great Sins, an Archdevil General of the Devil Emperor. They are beings that are in the realm of gods and extremists for the Asura faction.'

Gods were separated into three factions. Deva was a god on the side of good and an Asura was a god on the side of evil. There were also some neutrals that have never joined a side.

"I do not know which of the sins it was, but they are all capable of destroying reality just by being present."

"Is that possible?"

"For them, easily. They were the beings that cursed the entire dragon race after all."

"..... So if I'm able to kill all seven, then I could lift or suppress the curses on the dragon race?"

His heart felt a weight lift off of it at the thought of saving himself from the numerous future catastrophes that Dragon's Anger would cause.

"They are impossible to kill, maybe suppress, but that is technically correct."

"Are they really that strong?"

"Strong enough to be feared by even the strongest of deva gods."

".... so what do you want me to do?"

"Learn about the void, travel to the Origin Battlefield, and release my old friend Ulysses form his eternal cage. Of course this a heavy request and I'm not asking you to do it any time soon, but I beg you to aid the hero that saved us all before the next demonic invasion arrives."

Kyren was overwhelmed by the information and the task he's been asked to take up.

'That's a heavy load to put on me! Seriously, this mission could end the game permanently!' Kyren thought for a bit and his face paled drastically, 'Rayna!'

If the game ended then he would lose Rayna and he couldn't imagine something like that happening. He must protect this world at all costs.

"My name is Barrios so please summon me when you get strong enough. I'm sorry but I don't know much about the void but I'll help in any way I can. I have now taught you all I can for the Ultimate Mega Berserker."

The benefits he gained from learning an ultimate combat class were so amazing that he had a hard time believing it. Especially the unique title he got, which was god like.
