28 The Imperial Family

On a hidden road in the middle of a dense forest, a large convoy sped away from the Alvestine capital. Around half a dozen carriages that screamed wealth were guarded by countless warriors and mages. These guards were mostly B~grades with a few A~grades all riding magical creature mounts. Hovering high above were dark red scaled wyverns with luxurious golden saddles and staggering auras.

Wyverns are a lesser breed of dragons and were overly difficult to tame but not impossible. Their power and growth speed were undeniable, even if they weren't as powerful as the real deal.

They were twice the size of carriages at adulthood and three times the size of a carriage when they became elders. The front limbs acted as wings for them unlike a dragon who's wings were on its back.

They had the curses of the draconic race so they were required to wear muzzles that blocked the sense of smell at all times. Even having ten wyverns was insanely wealthy, much less a squadron of them.

Every guard present wore the highest ranked uniform full body armor of the royal army and were tasked with protecting the royal family as they escape. The armors were made of Blood Mythril which gave it a glossy vermillion look. Flawless gold inlays lined the edges and corners of the armor as dragon hide capes fluttered behind them.

Inside one of the more elaborate carriages, the Empress sat alongside two of her children with a royal attendant and two burly A~grade warlords across from them.

Warlords were special nobility that were above even high nobility in terms of influence. They were individuals or families with great power that had many outstanding merits on the battlefield. They were free of the noble society if they so wished but in times of emergency, they must serve the royal family or high nobility.

"Now explain why we're being sent away on such short notice? Why isn't my husband with us?"

She was the Empress, Carolina Monet Estera von Alvestine VIII, and her stern tone perfectly matched a terrifying rulers while a domineering pressure was coming down upon the royal attendant. The warlords and her children were not spared as they too felt the pressure.

As someone gets stronger, the difference between a "+" and a "-" will become more evident. For example, if a C+ and a C- were to fight, then their battle would be quite balanced. But in this case, the Empress was an A+ paladin of the church so the warlords who were had A- power wouldn't stand a chance against her despite them being in the same grade.

She was a mature beauty with long silver hair, an hour glass figure, and jade like skin. Her multi-colored opal eyes lightly glowed with a light magic that pierced the souls of the ones who looked into them. Since she was originally from the church, the blood in her body was completely angelic unlike the rest in the royal family.

"Your highness! Please don't make things difficult for this servant... the Emperor ordered me not to say anythi--"

*Vwwooooom*

Her aura was released and it threatened to crush all those present wether they were inside or outside of the carriage.

When someone gets to the A~grade, their aura will go through vast changes. Firstly, it will become visible to the naked eye, although transparent and faint looking. It will also take on different forms/shapes depending on the individual. Secondly, all lower level beings within a certain distance will be suppressed while taking a small or large amount of internal damage.

The Empress's aura was bright white with a falling water droplet shape. She purposely made it smaller than her true aura so that no one would get hurt and the carriage wouldn't get destroyed.

The attendant was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either he died by the Empress now or by the Emperor later. He still held strong though, he couldn't go against orders without an extremely good reason, even if it took his life.

"*Sigh* I'll make sure you don't get punished by my husband so just tell us."

He hesitated as he thought long and hard, "The capital was under an extreme threat so he wanted the imperial family to evacuate in case the city was flattened."

Her eyes widened in disbelief, "How is that possible?! Not even the elves can overthrow the capital!"

The originally silent crowned prince flinched, "Then why has father not come?"

The crowned prince had the silver hair of his mother but his eyes were a bright cherry blossom pink just like his fathers. He was a quiet and calculating type and he barely paid attention to anything that didn't interest him. He couldn't figure out why his father would stay behind if it meant that the capital might fall.

"His majesty concluded that if he left, it could greatly offend.... them."

"What exactly happened!?!" Everyone, especially the Empress, couldn't believe that the mighty Emperor would be afraid to "offend" someone.

"Two women of unknown origin arrived earlier today..... riding on the back of an Elder Dragon."

"How dare you say something so ridiculous in front of the imperial family!!"

"For lying, pay with your life-"

"Enough!"

The two warlords were about to release their auras to kill the B~grade attendant for his impudence but were stopped by the Empress.

"I swear upon my family's honor and my own life that what I said was the absolute truth!" he bowed his head low to show his sincerity.

"...."

He was from high nobility so his words had a lot of weight. The warlords backed down after sheathing their death like glares.

"T-Th-Then is Papa in trouble!?!"

An adorable and distressed voice sounded for the first time to the Empress's side. Everyone couldn't help but stare at her in awe even if they see her all the time.

It was none other than the prized jewel of the royal family, Josephine Aisha Diana von Alvestine, the first born daughter of the royal family. She had an even more voluptuous figure than her mothers and skin so flawless that it even put a pureblood angel like her to shame. She was one of the rare few in the family with bright rose pink hair so it always stuck out like a sore thumb among them. Her pale pink eyes were becoming teary as she thought of her beloved father perishing.

Everyone absolutely adored her because of her cute and childlike demeanor. Her mother, father and little brother (crown prince) would especially dote on her and slaughter anyone that even came near her.

She initially was supposed to take the title of crown princess, but due to "special" reasons, the crown went to Erikson Constantine Elroy von Alvestine, the current crowned prince. He would not hesitant to give his dear sister the crown if he could, but that was impossible.

The Empress was alarmed by her upset daughter and immediately comforted her, "Of course he isn't! He's super strong so there's no need to worry my little Aisha! Just think of this as us taking another vacation!"

"R-Really?"

Her words were obviously biased but Elroy didn't mind, he also overly favored Aisha, "Thats right! Not even a scary dragon can defeat father, he's just sending us away so we don't get hurt."

"Okay.. *siffle*" Aisha looked like she was just on an emotional roller coaster and everyones hearts just burst from the overwhelming cuteness.

The Empress abruptly pulled Aisha into a hug, burying her face deep into her large breasts. The once domineering angel was no more and she started giggling like an obsessed fangirl, "Oh my little princess! Your too cute..."

Aisha made muffled cries as she suffocated in her mothers ample bosom. This only intensified her adorable demeanor so she hugged her tighter. Elroy tried to free Aisha but his mother's A~grade strength wasn't for show. They struggled for a bit until they finally calmed down.

The warlords and the royal attendant had to turn their heads away as to give them as much privacy as possible. Since they were males, the sight of a beauty burying another beauty into her breasts was dangerous to look at so they tried their best to not pay attention.

Aisha looked wronged when she was released while the Empress was off in her own little world, thinking of how to punish Elroy for stopping her motherly love 'Maybe I should forbid him from entering the palace for a day while we're on vacation?'

Elroy, oblivious to his future doom, asked a question, "So where are we going?"

"I believe we're heading to Glassios city which is controlled by the Randell Family Clan, your highness..."

"Really..." he was absolutely disinterested.
