44 Pandemonium Followed by Chaos

'Void magicules are everywhere but also nowhere... So does that mean they're everything and nothing at the same time? Where do I get my mana from when I draw magicules from the environment if they both do and don't exist???'

While in the Noble District library, he made sure to look for any void related literature but only found a few phrases in an old book that were more focused on the other basic elements.

He was starting to get seriously confused by the riddles that he was generating from the book. To find out where the void mana comes from, he needed to use it again. That might result in his real body teleporting around randomly though. He could make void magicules from his inner mana storage, but that wouldn't solve the mystery of what the "void" was.

His only decision was to rely on his luck. He would just need to teleport rapidly in case he appears above the rivers of ichor, otherwise, he should be fine.

Once he started drawing the void mana from the environment, he was astonished to find that it all came from thin air, none of the metallic crystals in the Turbulent World supplied even an ounce of mana to him like the others! To use magic, one would either need to pull the respective magicules from the proper surroundings or convert the null mana stored in one's body into the element they wish to use.

A person's elemental affinity is like a closed gate, if you poured the null magicules the body naturally gathers (mana capacity) through a gate, it will convert into that element. The stronger the affinity, the wider the gate will be, and the more potent the results.

The void mana he was taking from the environment, unlike the other elements which relied on certain aspects of the surroundings like the manatium, could be pulled from literally everywhere. It was so abundant that it hardly took any mental energy to utilize it.

'Everything and nothing at the same time..... so is that it? The void magicules don't exist in this space because they make up their own parallel reality or mirror-image dimension of this reality that's not perceivable.

Therefore they are nowhere but everywhere at all times. They also make up everything but nothing as a dimensional 'copy'... *sigh* Synchronization rate truly is terrifying.'

He partially understood such a deep and complicated subject so easily. The riddle was still kind of difficult to think about, but at least he interpretated it for the most part.

Recently, an annoying mumbling in his ear wasn't leaving him alone and it was getting on his nerves so he ignored it to the best of his ability.....

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Around 5 hours earlier...

Kyren just went into meditation and the old man sat silently and observed him while faking meditation to give him hints. Kyren didn't seem to look for him for clues though, which made him a bit grumpy, 'Think you're so smart that you don't need my help?! Let's see where you are an hour from now!'

It took mages weeks of practice to completely comprehend an element, year's if they wanted to master it. Even he took more than a week and a half to comprehend just the basic elements that were synthesized into the void element. Darkness and light magic were hidden elements that were in no way easy to learn. The void element in particular took not just weeks, but countless years to just understand a minuscule fraction of its full depths.

Suddenly, earthquakes were starting to occur everywhere within a couple of mile radius and growing fast. The manatium all around and below them were vibrating uncontrollably as the already stifling mana started getting extremely violent, making the surrounding magicules rush to where they were camped.

"WHAT THE-," The atmosphere was getting so destructive and fierce that he thought the Turbulent World was going to force them out.

This was indeed a God created "playground" and those not even relatively within that realm of power are only visitors that need temporary passes to get in. He had to obtain permission to get here for a limited time, it wasn't easy to get one. If one of the Gods decided they wanted to book the entire dimension, then they would be forced to get out and waste the precious passes he obtained.

When the mana was about to connect with them, he steeled himself for the forceful exit they were about to get. Contrary to his expectations, the mana effortlessly flowed right over him as though he wasn't there at all.

Confusion passed through him as he turned around to where the mana was flowing.

Where his disciple was currently meditating, oceans of elemental magicules were forming a multi-colored tornado-like bubble around him! The old man realized that the magical reaction wasn't coming from a God kicking them out, but from a boy who only recently reached the peak of the C~grade!!

Kyren's hood flew off due to the violent magic-filled winds and his appearance was revealed to the old man for the first time. The ridiculous mana signatures paired with his otherworldly charm lead him to believe that he's a reincarnation or incarnation of some God in disguise.

As he continued to speculate, the mana got denser and more controlled with each passing second until it formed a perfect bubble around him. Different colors alternated while most likely representing each of the basic elements.

The old man remembered something and peered down at the rivers of molten gold. It was completely unaffected as it continued to calmly flow, paying no heed to Kyren's presence or ridiculous magicule manipulation.

'That's not right... Is he possibly unrelated?' Ichor always had some form of desperate reaction/magnetism when in the presence of someone even slightly related to a Celestial Realm being, even if they were a reincarnation that hasn't gained their full power yet, 'Could he be normal and this is just his natural ability?!'

A bone-chilling shiver went down his old spine, shaking him to his very core.

He wasn't the only one either. Most of the celestial beings, good or bad, that wasn't busy noticed the irregularities in the Turbulent World and we're flabbergasted to find a mortal boy causing such a commotion. He was bending and manipulating magicules far more proficiently than any of they could when they were in the earlier stages of the Transcendent Realm, he was even unconsciously doing it while meditating! This boy, or young dragon as they could see through his genetic disguise, has officially caught most of their attention and some of their envy for his future potential.

.....

A little less than three hours later and the magical hurricane Kyren forged started to recede and turn into the dull grey color of the null element. The old man sat crisscrossed with his hands on his knees and a grumpy expression on his wrinkly face as he watched from considerably far away. He might've been an S~grade individual but they were both in the same realm, this was the safest distance he could maintain without feeling, at the very most, uncomfortable by Kyren's mana.

As he was nearly going to heave a grand sigh of relief about Kyren supposedly reaching his limit, the grey turned into a violent dark purple. That purple continued to get brighter and brighter to the point where it was almost as bright as the sun-cube. Then the light vanished and it appeared quite far away. This process repeated countless times in a couple of seconds.

"Is he using random teleportation?..... He's trying to understand the void element without years of training!?! IMPOSSIBLE!!"

The void was the most profound and mysterious element that no one mortal or even a God could completely comprehend. Even the Grand Magus Ulysses, who was the greatest candidate for becoming the celestial being to represent the void, couldn't reach its full depths in even all of his many thousands of years of life!!

A Magus is a powerful magic user that's publicly acknowledged to be a prodigy or very accomplished individual and only a few are chosen each century. It's similar to Earth's Nobel Peace Award or the Olympics whether they assess achievements or power. A Grand Magus on the other hand is the greatest mage of that millennia and only one is selected at a time.

There was a God that represented nearly every discovered and undiscovered element but the void was the only one without a representative. There have been many possible candidates but none have truly come close beside the Grand Magus Ulysses.

Like the previous magical vortexes Kyren made, it grew and compressed numerous times. Each time, it would get denser and more controlled, representing his ripening comprehension of the void.

But there was something extremely off with his methods of understanding the void and it was apparent to all. Each time he teleported, the lingering void mana he left behind wouldn't diminish as it was now too powerful. Since the one that was previously controlling it severed the connection unconsciously, the mana was now free to release the energy it accumulated.

"THIS CAN'T BE REAL!!! No mortal or transcendent can create an elemental calamity! It's just not possible..."

Elemental calamities were similar to natural disasters. They usually focused on one specific element or greatly amplify regular disasters. For instance, a regular tornado that somehow gains access to large amounts of fire mana will advance into a flame-like storm or something similar.

Void related Elemental Calamities have never been recorded to happen in the entire history of this world. Although the old man had a grim face as he watched the rising tragedies, being the fanatic void connoisseur he was, he wanted to study and record it with fervor for future research.

The very first void calamity to be made stopped growing and the anomaly it was going to fabricate came to reality. Starting from the center and then moving slowly outwards, the air and fabric of space cracked like ice or glass. Once it reached its maximum length, the shards of thin air caved into clearly nothing but a deformed hole appeared in its place.

The old man was confused but then realized what was happening. He didn't know anything about the portal, but what was on the other side was sending out an unimaginable pressure that completely suppressed him.

More portals started forming and more ridiculous auras arose, making an S~grade like him feel like he couldn't breathe. Creatures of all shapes and sizes squeezed their way out, looking around with a little confusion but quickly discovered something fun was going to occur. Roars, war cries, shrill screams, and many more soul-shaking sounds vibrated throughout a large portion of the Turbulent World, creating absolute pandemonium.

The old man who was enthusiastic at first was no longer blinded by his greed for knowledge. A face of horror contorted his aged face, "Behemoths... So many behemoths in one place..."

The behemoth-rank for creatures was similar to a being reaching the first couple of grades in the Transcendent Realm. They were also incredibly rare and considered bosses by the game.

Thunder/Lightning Griffons...

Corrupt Sperm Whales...

Holy Abominations...

Paranormal Death Wraiths...

Grand Forest Serpentines...

Hundreds of different and unique species were being witnessed by the old man as they ushered in chaos onto the already chaotic world.

One final thought crossed his mind and he found no indication that this was all some silly nightmare, 'It's over...'
