39 Immortal Invasion III

When he arrived at the epicenter of the commotion, two sides were in a stand off. One was the players in their beginner clothes and with no weapons. On the other side were the imperial guards and the churches Templars with all sorts of weapons and spells aimed at them.

The players read his emergency announcement, so they were trying their best to be friendly and polite but the opposing side was brimming with killing intent. Their hands were getting antsy to attack but the players were undeterred. They had no fear for death.

"Are you with the demonic race!?! Tell us why you came falling from the sky or else..."

Kyren shoved his way into the stand off before the representatives for the players could retort.

"How can we possibly be from the demonic race? As you stated, we came from the sky. Portals to the under world appear on the ground."

The Imperials slowly calmed down and lowered their weapons as they saw his reasoning. The templars on the other hand still didn't let up.

"Fools! Don't lower your guard, they must be disguised demons in the form of Alvestine commoners! How do they have our lower class cloths?!"

"There just cloths? Is the church threatening to kill us just because of the clothes we have to keep ourselves from going cold and nude!?!" Kyren made sure to say his words overly loud so all could hear.

The priest who just said that flinched and glared at Kyren for insulting the church.

The players snickered and burst out laughing.

"Insolent brat!! You dare disrespect us!"

Two fire balls were launched at Kyren from the priests raised hand. The other templars followed suit and threw out arrows or magic at the players.

As soon as they were about to connect, Krista appeared and used a skill to destroy all of the projectiles in 2-3 swing of her mighty war axe.

Although B~grades were common in the capital, they were more scarce in Kassio so she was able to obliterate every single feeble attack.

She quickly arrived behind Kyren after finishing.

The players gaped at the incredible strength she showed. But quickly, that admiration turned into fury.

"So that person who made the emergency announcement wasn't lying when they said the church were all assholes!!"

"I was recording that the whole time! I'll get some good cash for this footage..."

"All we are doing is trying to defend ourselves yet they won't even let us explain! Shame on them!!"

"Hmph, I will never join the church in this lifetime or the next!"

"Douchbags!!"

"Holy rats!!"

"Go to hell for your sins!"

Kyren externally sighed as he inwardly chuckled, 'Players are more of a mob with a ticking time bomb than regular people..."

The church and even the Imperials were flabbergasted by the player's unrelenting animosity and cursing.

Kyren raised his hand and silenced the thousand of players behind him like it was orchestrated. The players saw him as their temporary leader for standing up for and defending them so they respected him to handle the situation as soon as possible.

<You have discovered the proficiency, [Charismatic Leader].>

He glared at the mage who initiated the attack. The priest fell back onto his butt after feeling his menacing glare. This earned a few stifled snickers from the players but only at a whisper.

He turned to the supposed leader of the Imperial guards and lowered his head in respect, "I apologize on behalf of all the people here and across Lumeria and Irona for the way we entered this world. We didn't have a choice in how we were transported here so we ask for the Empire's forgiveness."

"Wait, this is happening all over the continent of Lumeria?! Even in the other continents!?!"

"Yes, we aren't the only ones to drop down from the sky. In fact, there are most likely thousands more throughout only this continent. We truly mean no harm though..."

"Are you the leader of all these beings?"

Kyren looked over the crowd and they all gave enthusiastic nods. They were very impressed by how Kyren was handling this. They made theories that he was a professional negotiator from Earth so they totally believed in him.

"I'm more of a representative. All of these fine people are free willed and belong to no country or group so I will represent them on their behalf."

"Good, then can you answer us some questions?"

"Of course, but you must first communicate with the Empire about withholding your hostile intentions towards us..."

The head guard turned to a subordinate and they started communicating the situation to their upper echelons.

"The Emperor has issued orders to cease all aggressive actions so long as none of you try anything funny. You also will come back with us for questioning with a high noble as our representative."

"That's perfect," Kyren turned to the still-growing mob of players and used [Amplified Voice] from his Quick Silver Rune Mask to talk to the entire crowd, "I shall represent the *******(players) for all of those in the continent of Lumeria. I will broadcast the situation live on the forums.

Please use the same forum account number you saw on the emergency announcement. Since I'm not your leader, you may travel and explore so long as you cause no trouble for the people of this world.

Please spread what I've said to everyone on the forums so they may know the situation."

Silence reined upon the crowd as they processed his words. After a while, the crowd erupted into cheers and happy conversations.

"Wait, he's the guy that sent out the broadcast?!"

"I never planned on causing any trouble. I just want to grind until I can handle the main storyline!"

"He's so intriguing! I don't mind him representing us while we do our own thing."

"Anybody still looking for a party? I have 2 members already...."

The news about his speech sweeped through the Lumeria forums like the plague. It spread faster than even the disdain to the church did.

The players of Alvestine were ecstatic about his appearance and willingness to help them calm the Empire down. The players who weren't from Alvestine were distraught as they didn't have a representative, and that made things difficult for them. This didn't stop some from standing up like Kyren to take on the role.

The commander of Kassio's guard was in awe of how Kyren handled the players so easily despite not even being their leader.

He also got reports about the players from other drop sites reacting the same way as though they just heard the information, even speaking about him despite being miles away. He concluded that they all must have some sort of telepathic connection that he needed to put into his report.

Kyren and Krista came before the leader of the guard and greeted him. While they were being escorted by the imperials, the players dispersed to do their own thing again.

The Templars were furious but they couldn't do anything but report back to their upper echelons. The players were now under the protection of the Imperials and they needed to think twice before making a move without higher-up permission.
