38 Immortal Invasion II

As the two walked down the gorgeous and aged streets, they headed towards the nearest teleportation pad that leads to the Shrine of Unity.

As they walked, they turned every single head. It wasn't because of their mysterious clothes and atmosphere, but because of the mountain like pressure, Krista emitted. She wasn't getting arrested by the guardian's because she didn't harm anyone in the process.

He ordered her to do this because he wanted to grab as much attention as possible for her. Since everyone here was level one, they either froze in place or kneeled. Thankfully her aura wasn't violent or to oppressive so no one got harmed or uncomfortable.

Krista thought she was going to greatly anger all of these immortal beings but contrary to her expectations, reverence and awe shone in their eyes.

"Who are these people?! Do you think we could get so strong that we can make people kneel with just a thought?"

"They must've participated in the private beta!"

"Hurry, someone film this to post on the forums!"

"Senior!! If you carry(1) me I can promise you some money!!"

'... Are these people masochists!?!' Krista couldn't think of why they all seemed to enjoy being suppressed to the point where they could hardly move.

Normal people would usually disdain anyone who would do what she was doing. They would usually think she was a disrespectful big shot that was flaunting her power arrogantly, but they're revering her instead!

Krista didn't know this, but as per Kyren's plan, she was growing in fame and popularity among the players on the forums.

.....

They arrived at the Shrine of Unity's teleportation pad, and he used it.

Because Krista couldn't enter, she waited near the pad while she observed the curious players. Her aura was sheathed so no misunderstandings were created.

While inside the shrine, Kyren created his own guild after spending a lot of gold. He didn't plan on letting anybody join yet so he didn't do anything else. All he wanted was to own a guild so that he would have more privileges.

Sadly, it wasn't considered a true guild until he got some members so not all of the privileges were open to him.

'Leo, use my guild leader authority to make an emergency announcement to the players of Lumeria.'

Usually, if someone wanted to announce at this scale, they would need to go to the Shrine of Communication to register. But since it was an emergency, he could do it from anywhere. He would still need to pay the regular three platinum fee and the message had to be deemed urgent by the system for him to use this function. Moreover, it needs to be related to the game.

Once he finished telling Leo what he wanted to be said, the message went through processing and was deemed urgent. Once it was approved, he took out three platinum and they turned into multi-colored particles. He also made sure to make it anonymous.

EMERGENCY PLAYER ANNOUNCEMENT...

The guild leader of [???] has used the emergency announcement function to notify all players on the continent of [Lumeria]...

{Message}

All players, please tread with caution! I am a private beta player and I must warn all of you to be careful.

After being in this world for around a month, I've discovered that there are little to no differences between real life and this game. This means that the non player characters of this world will possibly be hostile to the players violent arrival. They may attack, abduct, or do other stuff if we don't stick together. I ask that you peacefully make contact with them even if there's a sword to your neck. The friendlier we are, the faster we can get through this and play.

I will pay a certain amount of in-game currency to players who can record or capture any time you make contact with the Archaic Church. The more violent or unjust, the better.

Also, please avoid joining the church! If you do research into the history of this world, you'll know why I said this.

Please send footage to this forum account number, ************. Do not act stupidly, so please treat the non-player characters like any other human from Earth and you might see benefits.

<Notice>

This player message has been proven true by the system.

Every player in Lumeria froze simultaneously as they were forced to read Kyren's message.

Krista, who was still observing players, jumped when she saw the bustling crowd all stop in their tracks and silence at the same time.

After a couple moments, everyone started discussing what they just read.

"Someone already made a guild and could afford the announcement fee!?! He or she must be loaded!!!"

"Even the private beta *******(players) only have a few silvers and gold at most! And the market function wasn't even opened till today!!"

"More importantly, this announcement is absolutely true! I have a friend in the elven country on Lumeria, and he said they were attacked as soon as they got off of the elevator platforms!"

"Really!?! This doesn't feel like a ****(game) at all!"

"Isn't that exciting though? Makes this world unpredictable!"

"This just hyped me up even more!!"

"All we have to do is boot lick the ****(NPCs) till they trust us right? I do that with my boss back on Earth so this should be easy!"

"Why does this person want dirt on this 'Archaic Church?' Are they the antagonists of the main storyline?"

"Who cares?! This guys loaded and he's offering money!"

"It sounds like he experienced something bad by their hands... I'll research them before I even consider joining."

Conversations like these spread throughout the continent and local forums faster than wildfire. It didn't take long for the Archaic Church to become this world's publicly declared antagonist in the player's hearts.

Kyren teleported back to Krista's side and noticed some of the players comments. He was pleased by the player's open-mindedness to listen to his message. He also couldn't help but snicker at the player's growing disdain for the church.

The church didn't know this yet, but he just dealt a possible life-ending blow to them. Of course, there will still be some players who prefer the 'evil' side to the 'good,' but that didn't concern him. Without a large immortal force in the church's arsenal, it would be much easier to permanently erase them from Lemuria.

Kyren started to walk back and Krista followed.

"If you have any questions then now is the time for me to answer them."

"So you and all these people are immortal? And you come from another world?"

"Yes."

"Why didn't you arrive with them in this large structure?"

"I'm one of the first to appear here, but people like me are few. This event was the first major batch of immortals to arrive in this world."

"First!?! There's more?!"

"Maybe, but I'm not 100% sure."

These were only the beta players so there should be lots more over time.

Krista continues to ask questions along the way and gained a better understanding of the players and Kyren himself.

When they got off the elevator platform, they noticed a large commotion near the crowds of players.

A cold glint appeared in his eyes as his monstrous senses picked up on the conversations, "They're here..."

He ordered Krista to hide her presence until he gave the signal. Although she didn't have any stealth abilities, she somehow became unnoticeable as she walked right beside him. Any below the B~grade would have trouble spotting her. This was due to her taking on so many hunter-type missions for the guild.

As he walked through the crowd, the players parted unconsciously as he released a chilling aura. He knew this was coming and he would try to help wherever he could to minimize the future damage to the player's reputation.
