44 Chapter 43

(AN: Democracy has spoken! The dungeon will become private, but I do plan Hakai making a public one eventually. Don't worry though, that won't happen anytime soon.)

It had taken him a while, definitely longer than what he thought, but it was done. He had finished the dungeon, or so he thought.

Hakai was currently on the 100th level of the dungeon. He had just defeated the boss of this dungeon level which was a dragon like him.

It was a long, and hard fight, but Hakai came out on top. He was currently in his dragon form with his hand cut off. This would be a bad thing, but being a dragon, it would heal eventually.

[You have defeated one of the bosses on the 100th level of the dungeon]

Like all the other monsters in the dungeon, the dragon turned into what Hakai assumed was Aether as part of it condensed into several items, while the other part was absorbed by him.

The dungeon was special in the way that it gave rewards that suited each individual. It also gave rewards of items that are in the universe it's in, for example, Hakai during his journey in the dungeon had amassed a good amount of devil fruits, but since he didn't know anything about them, he didn't eat any of them.

Hakai felt his body change. He was still in his dragon form, but his body was different now. His hand that had been cut off healed like nothing happened to it.

His horns grew longer, and his wings too. His scales got darker, with his eyes turning into a brighter purple.

His overall appearance just screamed 'the void'.

Turning back into his human form, there weren't any big differences other than his hair growing very long, long enough to reach his hips.

Checking his skills list, he also found a plethora of new skills that he got upon becoming a Void Dragon, but he would leave that for later as he looked at the array of items in front of him that the boss dropped.

There were 3 items overall. On the left, there was a fruit with swirls on it. The fruit also had a flame appearance, but it was different from the Mera Mera no Mi.

Beside the devil fruit was the dragon's remains so to say. It was steel, but it wasn't normal steel. Since he was a dragon, Hakai could feel what it was. It was steel made from the scales of the now dead dragon, and there was a lot of it.

Next to the dragon steel was a special device with the words, 'DF Analyzer' on it. Using some common sense, the DF probably means Devil Fruit.

Hakai was eager to use the device, picking it up and using it to analyze the devil fruit that the dragon dropped.

It was pretty easy to do. The device looked like a tablet, and all he had to do was point it at the devil fruit he wanted to scan and then it would do its thing.

"Ifrit? That sounds cool!"

Hakai scanned his other devil fruits that he managed to get. Once he was done, he placed all of the items back in his storage.

[You have beaten one of the Guardians of the 100th floor. You can now exit the dungeon using any portal.]

"Time to leave." Hakai made his way towards the portal and was met with 2 choices.

[Ascend to the 101st level, or exit the dungeon?]

"There's still more? Jeez, well I'll be leaving for now." Leaving the dungeon, Hakai reappeared back on their ship, only there was a tiny problem.

When he reappeared on the ship, he found people dismantling it left and right.

"This is the ship of the Dragon Pirates Right?" one of the workers asked as he dismantled the ship.

"Yeah. I remember they were really popular when they first entered the Grand Line. If I remember correctly, their captain single-handedly defeated Crocodile, one of the Seven Warlords, but then after that they mysteriously disappeared, and then someone found their ship and sold it to us for a cheap price."

"I see. What do you think happened to them?"

"Hard to say, but they probably died. This is the Grand Line after all."

Hakai listened in on their conversation, raising his eyebrow. "Died? Who the hell died?"

He grabbed the two from behind, lifting them up in the air, startling the workers. "Who sold you this ship and where are we?"

"Let go of us!"

"Don't you know where we are? We're in Water 7. Even pirates don't dare cause trouble here."

"Water 7?" Hakai scratched his head. "Did a pirate with a straw hat pass through here yet?"

"Pirate with a straw hat? What are you talking about?"

"Hmm, Luffy hasn't arrived here yet. I guess I can wait until the girls leave the dungeon." Hakai let go of the workers, dropping them on the ground. "Leave, and don't come back."
