Chapter 30

Hakai and his crew turned around to see the big fishman standing menacingly.

"Are you the ones that came from the ship?" the fishman asked.

The fishman had been patrolling the island before when suddenly, he spotted a pirate ship in the distance. Seeing this as his chance to get acknowledged by Arlong, he was planning to take over the ship and bring the treasure without any help.

"Yeah, what if we are?" Hakai asked in response.

"Well then you'll have to come with me." The fishman brought his fists together slamming them against each other. "Easy way or the hard way?"

"Uhh, I think I'll do it my way." Hakai smirked as he released his Conqueror's Haki, knocking the fishman unconscious but not affecting the people nearby.

"Don't harm the fishmen!" the blue haired woman said which Hakai recognized as Nojiko, Nami's sister.

"Why not? Aren't they bad?" Makino asked. She didn't know much, but Hakai told her that fishmen took over this island and are taking advantage of its residents.

"Well... The fishmen are bad, but if Arlong finds out that one of his people were harmed then he'll punish us and ask for more money," Nojiko answered.

"Don't worry, we'll deal with this Arlong fellow," Kaya said. "What's your name? My name is Kaya."

"Nojiko. I appreciate it, but Arlong is stronger than you think. From the moment they're born, fishmen are already 10x stronger than humans."

Hakai grabbed the unconscious fishman, slinging him over his shoulder. "Trust me, Nojiko, we can handle them."

Hakai was planning to make this quick and deal with the Arlong Pirates in less than a day. This shouldn't be that hard considering Luffy and his crew did it in less than a day.

After he dealt with the Arlong Pirates, he'd switch his attention to Nojiko and recruit her for his crew.

"I sure hope you guys can... It won't be long til someone in Arlong's crew get's suspicious of a missing fishman and go investigate. You guys are pirates right? What's the name of your crew?"

"Dragon Pirates, you might've seen our bounty floating about."

Meanwhile, back at Baratie, Zoro had just been defeated by Mihawk.

"You are weak, but I can see your potential. You'll definitely meet him in the future. Keep training, and I'll be waiting at the top, and soon he will too."

"Who are you talking about?" Zoro asked.

"His name is Hakai, a prodigy among prodigies..."

It was true. Mihawk was definitely talented at swordsmanship at a young age, but compared to Hakai, Mihawk was weaker.

This was because of Hakai's Weapon Proficiency skill.

Zoro ingrained Hakai's name in his brain. "I'll defeat him and then I'll defeat you."

Luffy was listening in on the conversation as he scratched his head. "Hakai... Why does that name sound familiar?"

---

Hakai walked through Nojiko's village, catching the attention of its residents mainly because Hakai was carrying a fishman.

"Right, I should've asked this before. Do you know where Arlong currently is?" Hakai asked Nojiko.

"He should be at Arlong Park which is their base. Why?"

"Do you know the way there?"

"Everyone on this island knows where it is."

Hakai groaned. "Seems I didn't even need this guy in the first place."

He dropped the fishman on the ground and materialized his sword out of thin air, stabbing the fishman straight through his heart.

The residents of the village all made an audible gasp, even Nojiko as they witnessed the death of a fishman. The only exception to this was Chabo, the little kid that wanted revenge for his father.

"Yes! Die fishman!" Chabo cheered.

"No, you just ruined everything!" Nojiko said. "With this death, there's no way that Arlong won't come and destroy our village and the money that Nami sacrificed herself to get will have gone to waste."

"What did I say? I'll deal with Arlong and his crew. Believe in me," Hakai said.

"B-But-"

A man with a pinwheel hat approached Nojiko, placing his hand on her shoulder. "Why don't we trust him, Nojiko? He doesn't seem bad and if he can kill a fishman then he has a chance of defeating Arlong."

The man turned to Hakai. "My name is Genzo. I can lead you to Arlong Park."

Hakai smiled. "Nice meeting you, Genzo."

Genzo led Hakai with Makino, and Kaya by his side to Arlong Park where Arlong was currently talking to a marine captain.

"This is Arlong Park. You don't mind if I watch, right?" Genzo asked.

"Do whatever you want."

Along with Genzo, Nojiko and a fair bit of villagers came to witness the fight. Their thinking was that if they were going to die anyway, they might as well watch a few of their enemies die.

"You guys ready?" Hakai asked the two.

"Yup," Makino replied.

"Yes!" Kaya replied.

"I'll knock out the grunts with my haki, and then you two deal with the officers while I deal with Arlong," Hakai said.

He was sure that if he wanted to, he could knock out almost everyone in Arlong's crew, even the officers except maybe a certain few, and Arlong, but he would keep the officers conscious so Kaya and Makino could get some more practice and also fight.

"Let's go!"

Hakai released his haki throughout Arlong Park. Fishmen fell unconscious, their bodies going limp as they fell on the ground.

The marines that Arlong were meeting also fell unconscious, falling on the ground.

"What the? Who did this?" Arlong looked around, spotting 3 figures standing by the entrance.
