17 The Ancient Training Field

Xia Tian tried his best to control his head from turning back and take a peek at Shen Xue, but he is not able to do so and continue to peek at the very little white cleavage of Shen Xue, which is visible in the soft crystal light. Shen Xue doesn't know about Xia Tian's perverse actions, if she has known what Xia Tian is doing now, she would have definitely beaten him black and blue.

They both reached the middle of the pyramid after climbing for about two hours in the dark, from this we can imagine the enormous size of the pyramid, even Xia Tian did not think, this Pyramid will be this huge. At last after searching, for about thirty minutes they found a large the rectangular entrance.

Shen Xue called for Xia Tian and they both entered the pyramid through that entrance. After walking for a while, Shen Xue lit a fire stick which illuminated a large part of the way. They did not see the end of the entrance but on both sides the walls are filled with different kind of images and texts, Shen Xue tried to understand the meaning of those images but gave up after some time.

Xia Tian, at first was not able to get the meaning behind the images but after concentrating for a while he found that it is related to some mathematical and astronomical concepts. They did not waste much time on those images as they are in a hurry to find out whats inside the pyramid. Due to fear of traps, they cautiously walked towards the center of the pyramid. Shen Xue warned Xia Tian not to touch anything suspicious and told him just to follow her.

After walking for a while they came to a dead end. There is a huge wall blocking the road with some patterns and holes etched on to it. Xia Tian became dispirited as he did not find any treasures in this trip, he wanted to ask Shen Xue what to do next but seeing her examining the area around the wall he too tried to find any clues for treasure in the images drawn on the side walls.

Shen Xue was not able to find any useful information and attacked the stone wall with all her power trying to break the wall but an energy barrier activated protecting the wall. She sighed and said to Xia Tian, "this wall is protected by a strong energy barrier and only a fulfillment realm martial arts cultivator can break it, we wasted our time by coming here, let's go we will search other places."

Xia Tian smiled at her and said: " Actually I found the clue in opening that stone wall, I am currently decoding this images in order to find the pattern, I am very good at mathematical patterns, give me one day and I will open that stone wall."

Shen Xue got confused by seeing the confident look of Xia Tian and asked: "what is mathematics?" Xia Tian coughed and replied, "it is a study of numbers and patterns." Xia Tian took half a day to decipher the images and found a way to open the stone wall. He found that to open the stone wall one has to activate the patterns on the wall in a specific order using profound qi, the order is given on the walls and he took time to decipher that pattern.

He went in front of the stone wall, by placing his both hands on the stone wall he tried to activate the patterns but only able to activate one-fourth of the patterns, seeing this Shen Xue placed her hands on the back of Xia Tian and transferred her profound Qi to Xia Tian. He directed the extra profound qi towards the patterns and activated all the patterns.

There is a bright glow on the stone wall and in a flash, they both got transported to a new area. They both looked at each other bewildered, they did not think that there will be a teleportation array. After recovering from the shock, they started to observe their surroundings. The place has a clear blue sky but they did not find any sun, they are standing on a huge platform surrounded by thick forests.

"Welcome to the Training field of Crystal city, if you have any doubts you can ask for next thirty minutes" a sudden electronic voice startled them. Shen Xue loudly asked, "who are you?" the voice replied, "I am the spirit of this training artifact."

Xia Tian asked, "where are we and how did we teleport here?" "You are in training artifact of the crystal city and entered by activating the entrance pattern" the voice replied.

Shen Xue and Xia Tian came to a sudden realization that they accidental entered an ancient training field. Shen Xue asked "can you explain the rules of the training field and what is the training offered?" the spirit of the training field replied, "There are no particular rules in the training, the duration of one month outside is equal to one year in the training field. the training of the training field is set to limit breaking training and it is a life and death type training.

"In this training daily you are transported to a place of the magical beasts whose level is assigned based on your strength, you can exit that space only after killing all the magical beast. Anyone who dies due to magical beast attack is permanently dead and no rescue will be provided. One will get spirit stones equal to the level of the beast they killed, for cultivation.

"You have to cultivate in the night and should go to training in the morning. You will be provided with the medicinal kit to treat your wounds and training clothes to wear. If you are seriously injured you will be given a day of rest, due to conditions of the training field all your wounds will be healed in a day. The Duration of present training is three months outside which means you have to train here for three years."

Xia Tian face become pale and hurriedly asked, "is there any way to change the training type?" the voice replied," No, it should be configured before entering the training field and it is impossible to change now" Shen Xue seeing the worried face of Xia Tian encouraged him by saying, "Don't worry, give your all, you can only improve cultivation in a faster way when you fight with your life."

Xia Tian cursed loudly in his mind, "you don't have any problem, you have your own weapon and you know a lot of martial skills. What about me?!, I don't know a single martial skill, I don't have a decent weapon and I am at the second level of origin realm and even killing a level 1 magical beast requires a strength of at least fifth level of origin realm" but he did not say it to Shen Xue and reluctantly smiled and nodded his head towards her to save is pride.

The spirit of ancient training field as if heard the thoughts of Xia Tian, said in a non hurried way, "you don't have to worry about weapons and martial skills, three portals will be opened now to the weapon craft pavilion, martial techniques pavilion and cultivation methods pavilion. You can enter any of these and based on your talent and perception you will able to select what is appropriate for you. You will be given a time of ten days to practice your martial techniques and cultivation methods and after that, your training starts."

Xia Tian expression got a little better and he asked: "can we enter all the three portals?"

"yes, you can enter all the three portals and there is no restriction about it" replied the spirit.

Seeing that there are no more questions from them the Spirit said, " anybody can only enter the training field only once in their lifetime and can stay here for three years. Use this change carefully and improve your strength. If you have any more questions this is the last chance to ask and after training starts, I won't be available till the end of this training."

Xia Tian and Shen Xue looked at each other, and they don't have anything to ask, they eagerly waited for the three portals to open. Shen Xue said Xia Tian " Thank you, Xia Tian, I will able greatly to improve my cultivation with the help of this training field and this time my mission is completely successful, I will definitely treat you with lunch when we completed our training."

" What lunch?! first I have to get out of this training field in one piece without dying, then I can think of going to lunch with you.
