9 Welcome to the Capital

Eventually Takashi, Tatsumi, and the blonde bombshell they just meet entered the main tavern of the Empire. It was crowded with adventurers, warriors, and even Empire Soldiers. This tavern accepted all 'types' of people.

"Gosh! I am so hungry!I think I might just order everything on the menu! You wonderful handsome boys are paying for the meal right?! As part of the deal of getting you into the Empire Army!" The blonde says with a cute smile, her golden eyes sparkle.

"No. Pay for your own meal," Takashi quickly says without any mercy in his eyes. He knew this busty blonde was playing with his and Tatsumi emotions and using her good looks to get whatever she wants. But Takashi had killed off all of his emotions, the only thing that was in his mind was to accomplish his mission and ensure his survival this new world. Everything else was just pointless. An assassin never fights with his emotions. A true assassin always fights with their mind and own strength.

"Hey man! That is not how you treat a lady!" Tatsumi steps in to back up the blonde girl. He actually pulls out some silver coin to pay for the woman's meal! He had just met this woman and yet he still treats her to a free meal! Tatsumi really was too kindhearted.

Takashi quickly snatches the silver coins and puts it back into his own jacket pockets( A/N: Takashi is wearing a long black and silver jacket kind of like in the cover art. That is also how he looks like right now, but without the dragon armor, just a jacket.)

"Remeber our mission, we need all the money we have to pay for expenses and weapons. You dumbass," Takashi says with a growl. He was rather disappointed in Tatsumi's sudden behavior. After all the training and cultivation they had done together with precise and clear minds to now Tatsumi acting like a complete fool. It kind of pissed off Takashi to see him so lively knowing that their village will soon be slaughtered if they don't gain enough riches to pay off the debt of the village.

"Awwwww! You are so mean! You are never going to win a woman's heart like that! By the way, the name is Leone!" Says the lively outgoing tomboyish blonde with a bright wide smile as she cutely winks her eyes.

"Yeah that is why Sayo never wants to be with you. You always scare her away," Tatsumi says with a sly smirk.

"Like I care," Takashi coldly said as goes to drink some water from a mug, but before he took a sip, he checked if it was poisoned. Takashi was always on alert, even the slightest of things he paid close attention to. In a matter of seconds, he realized there wasn't any poison inside the water. He used his Primordial Dragon high-sense of smell to identify that there weren't any toxins in the water. After all this blonde woman they just met had ordered the water mugs, she could have laced the water with poisons or drugs. Takashi could sense that this fierce blonde lioness was 'trouble'.

Now that Takashi thought about it, his Primordial Dragon powers could actually see the aura of someone else, depending on the color of the aura Takashi could see if the person had any 'killing intentions' or if they posed a 'threat'. Right now Leone had a golden kind of aura, meaning she was 'harmless', for now. Takashi's aura-sense/Dragon-sense works when someone's attitude changes, he can see if they are telling the truth or not by reading other beings aura. It was a powerful-sense to use during combat, he could literally read his opponents minds and their next moves during combat.

'Wait a minute?... Where is Sayo and Ieyasu?' Takashi scans the tavern to see if his village comrades were here, but he couldn't find them anywhere, he couldn't even sense their aura nearby. 'Did something happen to them?' Takashi's dragon-instincts kicked in. He knew something was wrong.
