1 DEATH OF A PLANET

Deep in space, a giant ball of energy hovers over the planet known as Planet Vegeta. As many Saiyan's on the planet run off in panic, a mother and father run as fast as they can with their son in hand. The boy is confused as to what's happening around him, getting worried by everyone's reactions.

"That bastard Frieza. We should have listened to Bardock when we had the chance. Damn it!" The father says.

"Father, what's going on? Why would Lord Frieza do this?" The child asks, still being dragged by his parents.

The father grits his teeth, as tears start to flow form his mother's eyes. They soon make it to a small space pod and put the confused child in, locking him inside. The ground beneath them starts to crumble by the energy ball as it gets closer to the planet. The boy soon realizes that his parents aren't coming with him, and that they're staying here to die.

His father smiles at him, trying to reassure his son.

"We don't have much time Shallot. This is where we say our goodbyes. I know I was hard on you, and I'm sorry for that. I couldn't afford for you to be soft, not in a world like this. Be better than us, my son." The father says.

Shallots entire body starts shaking out of fear and sadness, not knowing what to do.

"What are you talking about, father? Mother? I can't leave you here to die. Can't you find another space pod or something? Please, I need you."

As tears continue to fall down his mother's face, she gives her son one last smile.

"Goodbye Shallot. Remember that we were always proud of you and your kind heart. I know us Saiyan's aren't supposed to be kind, but never look at it as a weakness."

Tears start to fall down Shallots face and he puts his hand on the glass of the space pod.

"You must survive, my son. Keep getting stronger, avenge our race, and kill that monster frieza. We know you can do it." Shallots father says.

They then send the pod off planet, but Shallot doesn't want to leave the people that he cares about the most in the entire world. He screams to the top of his lungs and continuously hits the door, calling out to his parents. He is then distraught as he watches his parents, and his planet vaporized by the ball of energy. Distraught by this, he loses control of his power, causing internal damage to the pod.

The pod starts to malfunction and goes off course to a different planet from the one that was previously selected. Time passes, and Shallots pod finally crashes loudly down to earth. When the door opens, an exhausted and injured Shallot falls outside on his face. As he lies on the ground, he rolls onto his back and looks up to the sky, then passes out.

Three days later, Shallot slowly regains consciousness, he wakes up in a bed, with bandages all over his body. He slowly sits up, clutching his head in pain. The memories of his planet exploding and his parents death flash through his mind. He falls out of bed, onto the ground, trying to hold back tears.

"Oh, you're finally awake."

Shallot looks up and sees an old woman floating on a crystal ball.

"I must say, it's my first time meeting a Saiyan in person." The woman says.

Shallot slowly stands up on his feet.

"Who are you? What planet is this?" Shallot asks.

"You are on Earth. I am Fortune Teller Baba."

Shallot grabs Baba by the shoulders.

"Where's my pod? I have to get back to Planet Vegeta, where's my pod!?"

Baba closes her eyes.

"I'm sorry. But your planet is gone, my boy."

Shallots grits his teeth and his body starts trembling. He then runs outside as fast as he can, despite his condition.

"Kid, wait!" Baba yells.

Shallot makes it outside and flies into the sky. He closes his eyes, holding back even more tears from falling down his face.

"I don't believe it. It can't be true. It can't be true!" He thinks to himself over and over again.

The young saiyan then starts coughing up blood and swerving out of the sky. As he feels his body getting heavier and heavier, Shallot reaches out, still trying to some how make it to Planet Vegeta. His vision soon fades and he starts to fall out of the sky. He hits the ground hard, making a giant crater. Baba flies over to Shallot who just lays in the crater.

"My home. My family. Everything. They're all gone."

He puts his hands over his eyes.

"I couldn't do anything about it."

Baba let's out a sad sigh.

"I know it's hard, kid. Your home and entire race is gone. I can only imagine what you are feeling right now. But mopping around here isn't going to help anything. You must rise above the pain you feel now, carry your heritage on your shoulders and in your heart. Keep getting stronger so you can avenge them."

At that moment, Shallots father's last wish flows through his mind. He wipes the tears from his eyes and slowly stands to his feet. The young saiyan clenches his fist, with a determined look on his face.

"I vow. To keep getting stronger, so that one day, when I face Frieza. I will, kill him where he stands."

Baba smirks.

"That's more like it."
