17 The Roch'tr stones

After leaving the room, Letur went through various corridors, until he came to a door. Letur explained that this was my personal room, where I would live until the change of the planet was a success.

The room was large, lit with giant lamps that floated in the air (I really like these lamps, I should buy some and take them to the earth).

I suppose it must be an honor to live in the same building as the king.

Letur always stands away from me and looks at me carefully. He does not trust me, which is reasonable, after all, I am a potentially dangerous foreigner.

Letur informed me that he should not leave the room without notifying.

Obviously, I'm going to skip that rule. I have to adapt my plan to the situation, and for that I need the help of some tartadians.

For my plan to work I need the Roch'tr stones. However, I'm not sure how the stones work. I only know that they are capable of generating energy. I need more information if in the future I will use them.

To collect information, I teleported outside the tower. It's a bit ridiculous that they try to lock me up when I can teleport me.

After leaving, I searched for some time some way to get the information I was looking for. Although I could have asked the tartadians who worked for the king tortu, but I did not want them to suspect more than they already do. Until now, when I asked for the stones they had interpreted the stones as a monetary asset, as if instead of stones I had asked for diamonds.

However, in the moment that I ask about the characteristics of this material, they will could understand that my objectives are not related to the obtaining of profits.

I don't want to create more distrust with the tartadian government.

For that reason I can not let them know that I'm out of the building, although I stand out pretty much in the crowd because I wear tartadian clothes. That's why the first thing I did was to buy clothes that covered my entire body. A raincoat, a hat, sunglasses (here they are very strange, the crystals are blue, and they are quite ugly.) And some more clothes for me to cover my face.

To make the purchase I had to make an exchange since I did not have money. Exchange a capsule HIPO-POI for all the clothes and various electronic devices used by the tartadians, for me they are useless, but surely Dr.Brief will find some use to these devices.

After that I told the seller, if I could keep my purchase in secret. He was so happy that he had no problem accepting my demand. I guess the seller thinks it's okay to exchange a capsule with strange technology for normal products. I have to get some kind of galactic currency soon, I don't want to be scammed this way in the future.

Once disguised look for some kind of database with information about Roch'tr stones. Luckily, the tartadians had a system similar to the internet, although it was limited to pure information and hadn't entertainment.

I quickly found information about Roch'tr stones and how they work.

Roch'tr stones have two functions. Absorbing and expelling energy, however, the function that tartadians want is their ability to increase the energy absorbed. The Roch'tr stones have the capacity to absorb according to the system of the tartadians up to a maximum of 100 Klart units and is capable of expelling 1000 Klart units.

Apparently, through a decomposition of the internal energy within the stones, much energy can be obtained with a lower expenditure, although this process can not be repeated infinitely, only about 4 times.

The only danger that these stones have is that when they recive a lot of energy at once they explode with more energy than they can produce, therefore one must be very careful in the process of obtaining energy. If a mistake is made, a tragedy can happen.

Taking into account the properties of Roch'tr stones, I will have to change my plan so that it adapts as needed.

Later, I looked for a scientist to help me for certain things. My goal was to find a scientist who did not work for King Tortu. It is not that I did not trust the king, but that I doubt that any government has the brightest minds of this planet. If they had them, the tartadians would have already moved to another planet.

I visited several research centers, and they all told me the same thing. If you're looking for a brilliant scientist, you're looking for Briter.

I don't know who Briter is or why everyone recommends it, but I need your help for some things. If I were on earth, I would ask the Dr.Brief for help. But as I still can not teleport from such distant distances, I'll have to settle for a scientist like Briter.

After asking several people, I obtained the location of Briter.
