69 A War? A War! (69)

Queen Vegeta covered her mouth quickly, trying not to embarrass herself in front of a young man that was old enough to be her son.

"First time?" Broly asked, slightly amused by Queen Vegeta's shout.

"N-No," Queen Vegeta struggled out.

Broly chuckled and carried on flying, his body becoming completely horizontal as he tore through the air.

Queen Vegeta adjusted herself, bringing her legs up to sit cross-legged on Broly's massive back as the wind blew against her face.

It was a very relaxing sensation.

'This youth really is huge' she thought, spreading out slightly.

'Ki sense!' Broly thought, locking the position of his spaceship in his head.

Yami snickered.

'Not saying it out loud because you're around a girl? I see! I see!' Yami commented.

'Shut up!' Broly responded.

Although Queen Vegeta was around thirty years old, she looked like she was seventeen which was more than enough to rattle Broly.

"S-So, how did manage to survive on this planet for so long?" Broly asked, interrupting Queen Vegeta who was breathing in the air.

"I told you it's a long story," she said, repeating herself.

"My ship's quite a way away, we've got some time," Broly said softly, his deep voice and warm tone melting Queen Vegeta's resistance.

"You don't even know me, why do you care so much?" Queen Vegeta asked, gripping Broly's sash that was around her bust.

"You're the first Saiyan I've met outside my family, I thought we could get to know each other better," Broly said, his nature and voice doing wonders to move Queen Vegeta.

Yami scoffed.

'Let me catch you saying some sweet shit like that again, she's not your girlfriend!' he scolded.

Broly waited patiently but was only met with silence.

'It was worth a try' Broly said to Yami, focusing on the position of his ship, travelling north.

Queen Vegeta sighed loudly.

"When you ask so nicely I feel like a bitch if I don't respond," she said blandly.

'She's got the waist and tits of bitch, I'll give her that!' Yami added, using Broly's intelligence to help estimate the numbers behind Queen Vegeta's proportions.

Broly kept quiet waiting for Queen Vegeta to speak.

"The people on this planet are at war," she said dryly.

"War?"

'War?'

"War!" Queen Vegeta exclaimed dramatically.

"Once upon a time, there were four tribes at peace, each of them standing on equal footing. Each tribe harnessed the special properties of the ki crystals in their land, the tribe in the east possessing fire, the west possessing ice, the south possessing wind and the north possessing lightning," Queen Vegeta said dramatically.

"Some of the elites in each tribe also have special abilities from the ki crystals, strange magic granting the unpredictable powers," she continued.

'Ha!' Yami proclaimed loudly.

'Back in the time of the fourth Legendary Super Saiyan, there were around twelve or so tribes! It seems like that particular fellow dealt irreparable damage to their entire civilisation!' Yami said, proudly praising his kind.

Broly was quiet as he soaked in this information.

"Everything was peachy until the Lightning Tribe slowly began to power creep the other tribes, the raw energy in the ki crystals unmatched by any others, so the fire tribe banded the others together and declared all-out warfare on the Lightning tribe, claiming that one day they would overpower and destroy all the other tribes if they didn't take action," Queen Vegeta said, completely indifferent to the tales she told.

"Where do you fit into this?" Broly asked confusedly, not sure how she as a Saiyan was related to the conflict on the planet.

"When I arrived on the planet I sided with the Lightning Tribe, mainly because I thought they would be able to charge my ship but the technology on this planet is beyond primitive, if not for the natural forming crystal structures, the people would live in mud huts and caves," Queen Vegeta explained.

'Didn't she live in a cave?' Yami pointed out.

Broly stifled a laugh and continued to listen.

"Eventually, the Lightning Tribe was cornered and exterminated by all the others but little did the other tribes know, the Fire Tribe had sent armies to the other tribes' headquarters, attacking them when they were unprepared," Queen Vegeta continued.

Broly frowned, inherently disliking the underhanded and devious nature of the Fire tribe's actions, his heart naturally siding with the others.

"The Wind Tribe also fell at the hands of the Fire Tribe while the Ice Tribe were just barely able to repel their attacks," Queen Vegeta said.

"You said you built your own ship so I think you'll be smart enough to understand that fire and ice cancel each other out, the Fire Tribe and the Ice Tribe are still at ends to this day," Queen Vegeta said finishing her story.

"So how did you manage to survive?" Broly asked Queen Vegeta was with the Lightning Tribe even before they were attacked so he wondered how she managed to escape with her life.

"I fled!" Queen Vegeta said as if it was obvious.

"Since the Lightning Tribe fell I've been a vagabond, forced to steal from the farms and their supplies to get by, I hoped and prayed someone would come and get me off this God-forsaken planet but I never thought it would actually happen," Queen Vegeta said, relief found in each of her words.

"I only knew them for about a month and they were largely indifferent to my presence, they gave me some rags, a small crystalline house and the shit they call food and left me alone," Queen Vegeta said solemnly.

"That-"

'Don't' Yami said firmly.

Broly held his tongue, he couldn't imagine being isolated on a strange planet by himself for so many years.

It was beyond unpleasant to think about.

"Are the people on this planet strong?" Broly asked, changing the subject.

Queen Vegeta scoffed.

"I wouldn't say that," she replied with bluntly.

"It's the crystals in their possession that make them scary, not only are they ridiculously hard to break even by Saiyan standards but the elemental properties that are released when they are exposed to ki are excessively potent," Queen Vegeta explained.

Broly thought quietly as Queen Vegeta stopped talking.

The race relation between them took away any lack of trust between them but they had reached a wall in their communication.

They had only met a few minutes ago after all.

Broly extended his ki trying to sense Queen Vegeta's power level, the Super Scouter he made would give a much more accurate reading but he wanted to be able to read it by himself.

'650,000? No 660,000,' Broly thought narrowing it down, on his spaceship he had practised reading power levels as he experimented increasing and decreasing his own ki. This was mainly possible because his ki was responsible for a large chunk of his own power level and by drawing and pushing it into his stores he could change the reading.

"You really do things way too late, do you have so much confidence in yourself that you didn't think that you would need to check my power level?" Queen Vegeta asked, sounding slightly irritated that Broly wasn't taking her seriously.

"Yes," Broly answered honestly.

"What's your power level?" Queen Vegeta asked.

"Sixteen million," Broly responded.

Queen Vegeta scoffed.

"If you don't want to tell me just say so, you don't need to lie so dramatically," she said, disappointed.

Yami laughed while Broly shook his head.

"Is that your spaceship?" Queen Vegeta asked, able to see Zelta in the distance.

"Yep," Broly said slightly proud of himself.

"Why does it look like an action figure?"

Yami laughed even louder while Broly frowned.
