Finding Old Man Roshi

With Yamcha and Puar parked on a hill, they were spying on Goku, who easily made friends with the Ox-King and suddenly flew off. If it weren't for the Ox-King being in the castle, they would've gone in and taken the Dragon Balls, but it seemed fate wanted them to stick with their original plan. Suddenly, they heard a loud scream, which seemed to be from a girl. Yamcha turned in that direction and saw a dinosaur chasing a little girl wearing battle armor. The girl tripped and fell just as the dinosaur was about to bite her, she launched the boomerang on her helmet.

The boomerang sliced the dinosaur's head off, and seeing the gory sight disgusted her, so she fired a beam at the dinosaur.

*Boom*

The dinosaur was instantly evaporated. Yamcha was shocked to see this. One minute, the little girl was screaming for help, the next second, she instantly killed the dinosaur.

He then heard the sound of Goku's Nimbus. Yamcha looked to the sky and saw the Nimbus. He hurriedly told Puar to drive off, and he did so. Goku heard the scream followed by an explosion soon after. He looked down and saw Chichi standing up and dusting herself.

'My waifu,' he thought.

He flew down and stopped right in front of Chichi. "Hey, are you Chichi?"

She looked up and saw Goku. "Yes, who's asking?" "I'm Son Goku, and your father sent me to come get you. Now, can we go?" He said.

Chichi looked at Goku with a suspicious stare for a brief moment, then she smiled and came to him. "Alright, let's go."

Goku helped her get on the Nimbus. "Okay, now that's done, let's go look for Master Roshi. Hold on tight," he said as the Nimbus took off into the sky and flew off.

Chichi did as Goku said and held his waist. She looked at him as the wind blew his hair back slightly.

'He looks very handsome. Is this unbecoming of a princess? Wait, I'm holding a boy, does that mean I have to marry him?' She thought, giving Goku another look and seeing his face framed well and looking dashing.

'Kyaaa, yes, I do.'

Goku heard her squeal but decided not to say anything. They soon arrived at the ocean and, after asking a dolphin for directions, they arrived at the house of Master Roshi.

The Turtle Hermit, now revealed to be the Legendary Master Roshi, saw Goku flying towards his island.

'Oh, it's the young boy to whom I gave the Nimbus. What could he need?' He wondered.

Goku dived in and stopped as he parked the Nimbus and got off. Chichi also stepped off with his help. This made her fall even deeper for him.

"Yo, Gramps," Goku greeted the old man.

"Ah, yes, what could you possibly need from this old man?" He asked.

"Well, I was sent here by the Ox-King. You probably know him, right?"

"Yes, I do. He was my second disciple after Son Gohan," he replied.

Goku was stunned by what he just heard. "What? You used to teach my Grandpa?"

"What! You're his Grandson?"

'Now that I get a good look, he does have a tail. And his spiky hair. Just like Gohan described him.'

"Yeah, I'm his Grandson. Wow, who'd have thought that my Grandpa used to learn martial arts from you. Well, I'm here at the request of the Ox-King," Goku returned to the topic.

Chichi just stood there and listened to their conversation. She honestly wanted to strike the old man, but seeing as Goku knew him, she didn't do it.

"What does that ogre want?"

"Well, you see, his castle is surrounded by raging flames. He's tried everything in his power to extinguish the fire, but he keeps failing. Now, he asked me to get the Bashousen so he can extinguish the fire," Goku explained.

The old man nodded, showing that he understood what Goku just said. He walked towards the water and watched his reflection to create a dramatic effect. As the waves slammed into his island, he said, "No."

"Please, Great Hermit. My father really needs that Bashousen. Without it, we'll never be able to return to our house and mourn my mother," Chichi came in and began to beg the Hermit.

"Well, it's not that I don't want to, it's just that I can't. I lost the Bashousen," again, the waves slammed against his island, making the scene more dramatic.

"But don't worry; I'll help you, only because you're Gohan's Grandson. Now let me go change," he went inside his house and came out with some new, drier clothes.

"How are you going to come with us, though? There's no space on the Nimbus."

"Don't worry; I have my ways. Plus, I can't even get on that thing. You think I'd give it away if I could."

He then cleared his throat. "BABY GAMERA!! COME TO ME!!"

The next moment, a weird turtle shell with propellers came flying towards them. It landed in front of Master Roshi, and then it popped out of the shell, revealing a...

"You called?"

"I'd like you to take me to Frypan Mountain. Do you know where that is?"

"Yup."

Master Roshi then turned to his Sea Turtle and said goodbye. "Keep the house safe. I'll be away for a while."

The creature went back into its shell, and propellers came out. It began to hover and fly. "Alright, we'll go on ahead. Peace."

They then flew off, leaving Roshi behind. 'So impatient. It sure must be nice to be young,' he thought.

Goku and Chichi flew back to Frypan Mountain, and the Ox-King saw the Nimbus and waved at them. Yet, seeing them empty-handed made him lose hope.

"Where's the Bashousen?" He asked as they landed the Nimbus. Bulma thought, 'Damn, now we won't get the Dragon Ball.'

While Oolong was in the car, he righted it and got back in, continuing to listen to his tunes.

"Oh, we found something better than the Bashousen. We brought the old man with us," Goku replied as he landed the Nimbus. Chichi got off and ran towards her father.

The Ox-King picked her up and put her on his shoulder. "Oh, those are splendid news. But where is he?"

"Oh, he'll be here, any moment now."
