6 The Ki of an Elf
This chapter is kind of an info dump as ki isn't really explained in the anime, so I had to add some of my own opinions.

"Now then Sylvar its time to teach you have to use ki" my Master says to me
"Finally!"
"Get into your meditating position" William says
I did as asked of me " What now?"
"Now then let's go over what ki is shall we.
Ki is on the basic level your life force energy, every living thing has ki from then littlest of plants to the most monstrous of demons"
"Yeah I all ready know this Master." I say to the old man
"Just checking" Master says with a giggle.
"Ki for us sentient beings ki tends to be made up out of three things Genki, Yūki and Shōki."
(A.N: what I searched for what ki is made out of in dragon ball that's what I got. Genki - energy, Yūki - courage and Shōki - mind)
"So it's made from our mental power and spiritual force right?" I ask
"Close Genki meaning energy is a representation of our physical body, Yūki meaning courage represents our emotions like anger or happiness this can be both a benefit or a detriment. Lastly Shōki meaning mind represents our mental fortitude" My Master explains to me.
"Okay I think I get it. Ki is made up of physical, mental and your emotional state can ..."
"Can change how potent your ki is" The old man interrupts me.
"I was about to say that" I say as I pout
"Haha of course you were" Gramps says as he ruffles my hair.
"Now then you need to learn how to use ki. It shouldn't take too long as your body is already used to using ki subconsciously when it heals you."
" Oookay but how do I use it?" I ask
" Well you have been meditating like I told you?"
"Of course I have" I reply to the older man
"Good now get into your meditation position and then I'm going to put some of my own ki into you and all you have to do is remember what my ki feels like and then try to feel out your own. Do you understand?"
"Yep ready when you are old man" I say cheekily as I sit in my mediating position and close my eyes.
"Try to feel my ki" My Master says as I feel him place a hand on my chest. I don't feel anything at first but after a few seconds I start to feel it.
It's hard to hard explain how it feels like how I do when I'm around grandpa I feel all safe and protected but it also has a ferocious and powerful feel to it.
" I can feel it" I speak out
"Good that's quicker then expected" Gramps says as I feel his ki disappear from my body.
"Now you have to remember that feeling and try to find your own ki. It could take you anywhere from a few minutes to a few days so don't give up"
I hear Gramps get up from his sitting position and walk away toward the house leaving me by myself to find my own ki. Few minutes to a few days ehh I'm going to do it in five minutes or less.
Just as I said I got my first feel of my own ki in about 30 seconds but lost it immediately because I lost my focus. It took me a full minute before I could feel my ki with out losing focus. My ki feels very peaceful and serene just like how I feel when I'm in the forest.
But I could feel something more to my ki. As I continue to dive deep within myself the feeling of my own ki starts to change. It feels violent and bloodthirsty. As soon as I felt that I immediately stopped looking deeper and decided that's a problem for future me.
Third Person POV
Unknown to Sylvar while he was trying to feel out his ki, That tattoo on his right arm glowed for a brief few seconds. After a few minutes the glow returned but instead of a beautiful white colour it was a dark red. That glow didn't go unnoticed by the the old man who was watching over Sylvar to make sure he didn't hurt himself.
Old man/Gramps/Williams POV
Sylvars training has been going incredibly well. He clearly has no problem working hard he must really want to get rid of those demons.
I have notice that when it comes to fighting he doesn't go for lethal blows on me or the other fighters in the village it must be his peaceful nature I'm going to have to make sure he knows when to have mercy only when deserving, I can't have him sparing demons so they can cause more destruction.
A brightish glow takes me out of my thoughts. I look up to see the tattoo on Slys arm glow a white light.
Hmm he has had that tattoo ever since I found him nearly eight years ago now. I've never see one quite like it before. I tried to investigate it using my ki but the tattoo rejected my ki. Maybe it only accepts Sylvar's own ki. I'll have to keep an eye on it to make sure it won't harm him.
A few minutes have gone by it looks like Sly has got the hang of his own ki, is what I was thinking before a dark red glow was emitted from his tattoo just like the white one a few minutes ago.
That glow must be related to the ki Sylvar almost unleashed just then it was way to violent for an eight year old to process. I guess it's time I find out more about where Sly comes from. Maybe it's time to visit earths guardian it's been a few decades since I last saw my old Master
