Chapter 81: A Swift Victory

The chapter began with Amond throwing another relentless ki disc at Seraphine. As she flew through the sky trying to evade the deadly projectile, Amond gloated, confident that his attack would hit its mark.

AMOND: "FUHAHA!! THIS WILL FOLLOW YOU WHEREVER YOU GO!! AND IT WILL SLICE THROUGH ANYTHING."

Seraphine, despite the threat, didn't seem too concerned.

Seraphine: "IS THIS REALLY YOUR LAST RESORT? I EXPECTED SOMETHING BETTER FROM YOU, AMOND."

The ki disc continued to pursue her, and she headed directly toward Amond, provoking a reaction from her adversary.

AMOND: "I SEE THROUGH YOUR STRATEGY! YOU'RE GOING TO SWERVE AT THE LAST SECOND AND TRY TO HIT ME WITH MY OWN ATTACK!! DO YOU THINK I'M GOING TO FALL FOR A TWO-BIT TACTIC LIKE THAT!? DO YOU TAKE ME FOR A FOOL!?"

Seraphine indeed swerved at the last moment, and the ki disc sped past her. She reappeared a few meters behind Amond, perched on a rock.

Seraphine: "Over here, Amond!!!"

Amond was impressed with her use of an afterimage.

AMOND: "AN AFTER-IMAGE, EH? NOT BAD."

But Seraphine was done with the fight, ready to put an end to it.

Seraphine: "I DON'T SEE THE POINT IN CONTINUING THIS FIGHT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE GOING TO RESORT TO THESE PATHETIC STUNTS. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO SETTLE THIS, GO BUILD YOUR STRENGTH UP AND LEARN A FEW NEW MOVES. I'm done. Leave this planet."

Seraphine flew back towards Pyabara and Kilp, but Amond, in a final act of desperation, unleashed a massive energy wave towards her instead of a ki disc. She turned back and countered with her own energy wave, obliterating Amond, reducing him to dust.

Seraphine: "SUCH A MISERABLE END DOESN'T SUIT YOU, EVEN IF YOU BROUGHT IT UPON YOURSELF."

She transformed back into her base form and gave a thumbs-up to Pyabara. They couldn't help but feel a tinge of sadness over the conflict's outcome.

Pyabara: "Such a sad ending, but you did what you needed to do. Although, you did leave a massive crater on the planet."

Seraphine couldn't help but laugh.

Seraphine: "Hahahaha, sorry about that."

Pyabara healed Seraphine and changed her back into her original gi, the one she had been wearing when she first arrived.

Pyabara: "Okay, I will teach you Instant Transmission now."

Just then, Seraphine's stomach growled loudly.

Seraphine: "Could we eat first?"

Everyone around her burst into laughter as they realized their victorious hero was also in need of a good meal.
