5 Life 5: Starry- Starry Skies.

He was right in his decision he never wanted to be a fight- he wanted to go to Uni- have an education not fight and cause fatalities he found it unfair that fighting always somehow had to happen around him.

Goku bent down as he picked up his child hugging his son gently as the kid buried his face in his chest-

"Its fine Gohan- no ones gonna hurt you anymore- Daddies got you- don't worry bud, I'm here- now why don't we get you home to your mum- right bud!"

Smiling gently the father turned back as he flew home finally turning back as he gave his friends a wave as Kami began to fix the lookout as he heard-

"Come back in a days time- Goku- We're counting on you!"

And with that, his speed skyrocketed as he moved towards Mount Paozu-

Heading home from the lookout he viewed the land beneath him and smiled as childhood nostalgia-

Infused into him at that moment-

From the seas to the hills and the moon and back-

He had done it all and with his friends- he cared about them all and wasn't going to let some ragtag team of savages conquer his planet and use it as a ploy to satiate their master's appetite.

He remembered when he put that Monster Rabbit or something on the moon with ease and then Roshi blew it up-

'Were they still alive?'

He didn't know nor did he care-

He wasn't some merciful hero- he was no hero.

He was a mere fighter who fought for his loved ones-

Not a hero who cared about anything more than his family and friends.

And he didn't care as that was him and no one could change that.

His stupidity in believing Raditz- after trying to change his mindset had failed he saw how his son was about to die or worse be sent to those invading pirates-

He had to revert to his past as not killing his enemies was simply stupid-

He never felt remorse taking the lives of others so why should he be bothered now-

Sometimes it was better to cut off the roots before the poisonous herbs could grow after all- just like Roshi had said-

And if indeed his race had so few people it was obvious why-

They pillaged too much and caused unspeakable atrocities and thus they deserved ending to save the universe from these monsters-

They deserved the destruction- if they were all like Raditz-

Sure there might be 'good' ones but so what- they never tried to change the barbaric society of extinguishing other planets for no reason.

He didn't resonate with the Saiyans- after all, he was the Earthling Son Goku!

----_____----

-20 Seconds Later:-

The father, son duo had arrived home as he lightly descended from the skies and from the altitude he was at he could smell Chi's food as the smell and wafts travelled far.

His stomach slightly snarled as the intake of food became necessary-

He needed to fill up his engine after all.

This caused his son to slightly smile as he too felt hungry and thus this light-heartedness carried on

With a little smile, he could see his wife waiting out for them to arrive as she gently waved at the two-

Dropping to the ground the nearby grass shifted slightly before it returned to normal-

Entering his house as he bowed slightly at his grandpa's house before he entered-

He prayed that his old man was in heaven and enjoying his time there after all-

He knew the real reason he had passed away-

After the dialogue of Raditz, he had found out-

The moonlights Zeno radiation was what powered him up slightly in base form and when on a full moon he felt stronger than ever as if a passive amp his bones and muscles felt stronger and then the true Saiyan Power came into view-

"Where's Your Tail- The true Saiyan Power- you- Kakarotto- You FOOL!!!"

He knew the reason grandpa told him to avoid taking a piss on a full moon- and to look down if he needed one-

He was the 'Monster of the Moon' after all.

His heart- well it felt pain at that- a slight one but it came down to normal.

Grandpa had forgiven him so long ago and he knew that one should embrace the past and move towards the future- whilst living in the present.

Unnecessary baggage was useless and one needed to overcome that or else one would be plagued with demons of the heart.

"Chi- thanks for the food- it was great- here let me handle those dishes check on Gohan and talk to him about Martial Arts and Scholarly Works for me will you- I need to talk about something really important."

After the food was finished Goku began to grab the plates- and such as he began to clean them all with the sponge-

As the water ran on his hand he hastened his speed but applied restraint upon his strength to avoid destroying the plates and as such he began to clean dishes at a speed unheard of.

Once his work was done he wiped off the slight droplets on his skin as he headed to Gohan's room-

There he could hear the talk between the two-

"Oh, my poor baby- I won't let you leave like that again-!"

Said Chi as she hugged her son as a motherly instinct was brought out- causing even Goku to feel slight tremors in her wake.

However, he waited for the mother-son duo to finish up as he leaned against the wall in silence.

Once the talk was finished he noted Chi's steps as she came out of the room spotting him there-

"Follow me- I need to tell you something very important..."

Moving with haste the two appeared outside as the day soon became night- with the sundown and deep darkness that blanketed the skies.

Climbing on top of the house Goku looked at the stars as he waited for Chi to speak-

"So what did Gohan say- what did he perk up at- Martial Arts or Scholarly Work?"

He knew the answer already but before he could say anything more-

His vision became blank until he saw-

'Gohan?'

An adult that eerily resembled Gohan appeared with short spiky hair and a single bang that went down as he began to teach a classroom full of students?

"Carrying on from my thesis- The Usage of the ancient energy source popularised as Chi- is so diverse in attributes that one could call it a panacea for all things.

It has so many unique abilities some discovered and some still left mysterious by the forces of nature waiting for someone to unlock these abilities.

Through the use of research and analysis on this force of energy this construct of life this very reality- created by this elemental force.

We have found so many solutions not to mention the scientific advancements made by the Brief Foundation in unison with me-

The future is now- the future is here- the future is Chi!"

And then this older Gohan suddenly turned to Goku- and then he was brought back as if a myriad of colours before it went back to normal-

"Goku-sa, when I mentioned Martial Arts he was slightly scared and even a little shocked-

I could see him trembling as he remembered the fight you were in with Raditz-

The brutalities he saw in that one fight have severely disrupted his mindset-

He wasn't born a fighter- he only wanted you to acknowledge him-"

Jumping up she rested by Goku as she placed her head on his shoulders.

"I know Chi- he never was a fighter- he wanted me to be proud of him- but I already am for my boy to be so clever- I know for a fact he will change this world- no this universe for the better-

I never wanted him to fight- I could see he wasn't born a fighter- hell I wasn't either-

But I was born to... Survive-"

Taking a deep breath as he continued-

"I was born to survive in this world through each fight I grew but I don't want my son to go through all of that- I don't want his blood to dictate his future- you know, so I worry when I see him feeling stressed that he isn't strong enough.

I don't want him to feel a responsibility to protect anything yet- he's too young and as his parents, that is- our duty.

I don't want him to live like me- I want him to be his own person- I want him to be happy- I guess.

Is that weird- Chi?"

Turning to his wife as she gently rested her head on his shoulder as she gently listened-

"No, it isn't- just because he's part Saiyan or whatever doesn't dictate his future you know that and I do too-

And you're right he has a gift a blessing from the heavens-

His mind is his greatest gift after all..."

Nodding slightly the two leaned back as they viewed the night skies- with the shimmering stars in the skies-

Moving constantly as time continues-

Goku felt happy as he witnessed that Vision of his son-

It made him happy that his son had done what he loved-

He didn't want to force expectations on him, after all, he was too young- something that his family hadn't taken into consideration as he was the first one who was 'different' he was the first to not want to fight unless to protect his family and Goku got it-

After all, the lot of them had been fighting all their lives from banditry, to assassinations to destroying entire militaries and so much more.

They had been fighting demons whilst he was studying- it wasn't right to impose such a thing to him when he wasn't even fully grown and mature in his soul-

"Thank you Goku-sa."

Turning to her slightly he wondered why-

"For talking about our son's future- For thinking about us and for simply laying down like this-

You know I-"

However, before she could continue Goku had already claimed her lips as he held her close-

"I love you now- and forever, remember that..."

After he said that he felt a sort of zen much like when he meditated and image trained-

Chi- gently gave him a peck on his forehead as she got in closer as the two enjoyed the starry- starry skies.

Under the light of a thousand stars, the two kissed.

And from that spot, the two could hear each other's heartbeats as a faint smile formed.

As if with the help of a mysterious being the two held each other as the stars above shone brighter than ever before-

Engulfing the two's figures-

———_______———

'Come back in a days time- Goku- We're counting on you!'

Waking up with a slight headache- he put on some pants as he looked out the window.

His son was out already with Icarus by his side as the two played in the mountainside.

Nearby to him was Diablo Desert where Puar lived and so as his uncle of sorts he would bring Gohan toys and sweets.

Yamcha would teach him how to play baseball and teach him a few engineering skills.

Yeah he knew quite a bit in his time robbing and reselling and changing internals he'd learned a lot in his time.

Ten as usual was training even from down here he could sense the crane students elegance and poise.

Yajirobe as per usual was getting smacked by the others and Krillin was experimenting with Yajirobe as his guinea pig.
