70 Shattering A Spector

Brenton traced magical runes in chalk on the floor around the cot they had placed Treasca on in her magical sleep. The shade was still in there Brenton could feel the weasley creature stuck inside the subconscious of his bride. He nearly broke the chalk in half thinking of what that bastard could be subjecting his sweet Treasca to. He scribbled the runes faster, but used caution making sure every stroke was perfect. It was not fast wor, because everyone was very intricate, and one stray flick or unintended dot could spell disaster. He could very easily kill Treasca if he messed up even one. Ice cold sweat ran down his back making his hands shake. He had never been so nervous casting a spell in his very long life. After what felt like an eternity he had completed the circle he sighed with relief standing slowly he sent his magic into the spell sealing it with his will. He could practically see the shadow that hovered over his beloved's sleeping form. The shade grinned at him with his misty grin. Brenton felt rage, terror, and nausea threatening to overwhelm him. He clinched his fist pushing his emotions away, and began pulling the Shade off of Treasca peice by peice. The monster fought him digging its claws deep into Treasca leaving bloody scratches where its spectral body touched. Brenton snarled seeing her blood enraging him. He gritted his teeth, and sent his magic more urgently into Treasca. Her eyes opened glowing pearly white with his magic. She screamed voice sounding more like his roar than the cries of a woman. The shades spectral form broke free with a crack, and the snarling shadow snarled before shattering completely. Treasca went limp, chest unmoving, and eyes still staring at the ceiling. Brenton rushed forward collecting her in his arms. She gave a shuddering breath then began to try and sit up. Brenton held her tighter sobbing in relief. She opened her eyes as his tears dripped on to her face her beautiful eyes back to blue. She wrapped her arms around his neck pulling herself up to her knees then kissed him gently then harder her hands twisting in his hair pulling him even closer. Brenton lowered her to the ground keeping his mouth on hers. He kissed his way down her jaw before making his way gently down her neck. He nearly let passion overwhelm him before he stopped abruptly sitting up and pinning Treasca's hands over her head. He sniffed trying to see if this was the girl he loved or if the Shade was influencing her actions yet again.

Dane couldn't believe he was marching his men back towards Alonian on the word of two small children. He had to admit the twins tale had been a nearly dead on description of the Dragon he had encountered just days before. The adults had also seen the bastard who had masqueraded as a concerned citizen deceiving Treasca's parents. Anger boiled hot in Dane's blood as they quickly approached the border of the Dragon's domain. They where going to bypass the city in hopes of catching the beast unaware of their approach. They easily snuck past the guards that kept watch near the narrow road that lead into Alonian. They had left their horses back with a lad near a valley going on foot. They all where expert hunts men adapt at navigating through dense forest without making much noise. They stopped to rest very little moving even through the night the full moon barely reaching them through the forest. Dane looked at the youngest man who seemed ready to collapse, and finally called a hault. They wordlessly laid down while Dane took first watch his mind far to active for sleep anyway.
