After returning to the city and entering her home, she started to empty her bags which revealed many types of jewels and materials inside.

The most notable things inside were the large eggs which were still in an excellent condition.

Blush quickly set up a suitable nest for the eggs and started to use her magic to investigate the life growing inside. "How interesting. These must be the children of the raptors. I will raise them well!"

It was normal for dinosaurs and other animals to be domesticated and turned into pets so long as they were raised correctly.

Blush quite liked the idea of having a couple of raptors to help carry things or act as a mount/guard.

Her magic went deeper as it investigated each tiny movement and change as the baby raptors were slowly growing.

Each new cell, the tiniest changes and how the egg shell or liquid were acting to protect and help it during its growth from a tiny creature was being observed carefully.

Although she had studied frogs and insects, Blush had yet to come across a living dinosaur or dinosaur egg so it was an interesting find.

After putting many things away, Blush headed out with a couple of herbs and the map so that she could complete the task but instead of the map which had been used to mark the location of the treasures, she make a copy and left out that location.

She headed into the mercenary building and reached the main desk. "I am here to report in for my group task."

The person at the desk frowned upon seeing her alone. "Shouldn't you be with others? Did you fail? If so then please pay the fine."

They had seen many people come back from a task after losing people and returning in failure.

Since Blush was on her own and returned then it was expected that she had failed to complete the task.

Blush shook her head. "I have completed the task and returned but the others were not so lucky. We were attacked by many animals in the forest and I was lucky enough to get away."

The person at the desk examined Blush carefully to check if what she was saying was true or false but could not see through her.

Most young people were impulsive and revealed their emotions too easily so they often showed signs when they were lying and failed to mask their intentions or thoughts.

Blush was not young in terms of mental age so she was capable of fooling others so long as she was careful not to reveal any information which may make them suspect her of any foul play.

It was a common thing for those taking dangerous tasks to not come back or there would be few survivors.

Those among the group which had joined Blush had a large record of their losses during various tasks but they were usually the new members with less experience.

Even if they were suspected a little, they had been able to get away with it for a long time because they had a high completion rate on their tasks so some looked the other way at times.

It was unexpected that Blush was able to survive and complete the task while they had died.

The person at the desk finished examining Blush and took the map and some other items which had been collected on the way. "Thank you for your hard work. I will get your payment."

Blush calmly waited until she received her payment along with the update to her mercenary information. "Thank you, I will be going now."

The person at the desk stopped her for a moment and said. "Wait, although you completed this task.. there will be no change to your mercenary ranking this time since you lost too many of your party. Next time I would advise you to take a less dangerous task."

Blush rolled her eyes after she turned her back on them and walked out. "Thanks for the advice."

Although the words of the other party had been suitable for advice towards someone of her age, it did not really matter to her and she did not care much. 'I have so much to do and experiment with so why would I care about a mere mercenary rank?'

After Blush returned home once again, she started her research as she started analysing the collected blood, bone, hair and skin or scale samples which she obtained along the way.

After that she began to look into the many new herbs which she had found along the way to the cave. "These will definitely be a nice addition to what I have already learned. Some ideas which I have had should be possible if I can properly make use of these."

While Blush was grinding and mixing the herbs, she made sure to keep her magic activated so that she could detect even the slightest change during the beginning to the later stages.

After a couple of minor mistakes with the right measurements and temperature control, many types of pills were created one after another.

Each of them were very clear and clean looking as if they were close to being a flawless pill while there were a couple which had no notable flaw.

Blush examined them carefully with a satisfied look on her face. "Not bad! If those old men in the medicine hall saw these then they would be worshipping them as their master. In this era I am quite ahead but I still need to make further progress."

Her eyes turned to a cauldron which was cooking up a weird looking potion then smiled. "This one should be an interesting one but I will need test subjects so that I can test and alter it upon discovering the flaws."

Blush looked a little upset as she remembered something. "I should have kept them alive and confined somewhere.. then they could have been more useful. Damn!"
