5 ALLIES BREAK UP

On May 1 1945 orders from Washington DC were sent to the Prime Minister of Great Britain informing them that American troops were now ordered not to cross into Germany.

Congress on April 25 1945 passed a * NO ADVANCE* order for the Western front.

Public opinion in the United States did not want to have there son's killed in the European theatre.

More concerned was to win the Pacific. And to crush the Japanese Empire.

Doing this would creaple the English war effort in Europe.
