3 Homeward

As soon as Niki's bags are dropped in their shared apartment's spare room, she makes a point of knowing exactly where the bathroom is situated. Afterwards Lisa decides to take the liberty of showing Niki every nook and cranny of the place.

As far as Niki can tell - right as you walk through the front door, there are couches set around a shin-high coffee table. Once you're through the lounge area you reach the kitchen counters to the left, and to the right is a dining area with many cupboards and bookcases - which concludes the central open-plan communal area.

There are four rooms - two doors on each side of the lounge: left for the girls and right for the guys. The rooms are quite spacious with really soft carpeting. Each set of two rooms share a bath - toilet room, but there is a separate sink area for every room.

Niki's room is the vacated one, second to the left, and has a remnant smell of masala and jasmine. The previous owner was Zuri, who moved out not too long ago when she married Bennet. Not that anyone really mourns her absence, since she is over every other day to hang with Lisa.

The three remaining flatmates were looking for another roomie, but they hadn't found a fit, so when Niki was looking for a place (and willing to pay), it was quite the bargain. Everyone already approved of her, despite the extra work it would take to make the place accessible.

Lisa's room is first to the left, which suits Niki just fine. Her room has a whiff of acrylic to it, as well as a citrusy flavor - no doubt due to Lisa's obsession with those fruits and her tendency to stockpile them. Some things you never grow out of.

The boys' rooms are quite surprising. First to the right is Klein's room, which Niki decides not to stay in too long, since Klein is out for the day and she doesn't know him too well yet. Niki does note the keyboard to her left, though.

Finally Niki concludes her very detailed tour at Damian's room, second right, which is quite shocking. No clutter, windows open, curtains flying, the bed sheets without creases, and everything fresh, as if he just vacuumed the carpet. Apparently it's quite standard in color too.

"It's like a military installation." Niki ogles, "My mom would be proud, and that's saying something!"

Lisa doubles over, "I told you you're weird, Damian!" she laughs.
