Chapter 10
The previous evening had been wonderful. Everything about it. Their meal at the café had been truly delicious—he’d had crispy skin duck with vegetables, and Daniel had gone for meatloaf with roast vegetables. They’d ordered a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon with their meal, and coffee afterwards. They’d walked back to the car, almost freezing to death on the way, then Daniel had driven Vincent home with his hand on Vincent’s thigh the whole time, except when he had to change gears. Vincent had invited him in, and with a pounding heart, asked him to stay the night. He could hardly believe his ears when the answer had been “yes.” Almost immediately, they were in each other’s arms, and one thing led to the next, and they were making love.
