11 Chapter-11 Important Lesson

"After saying that to me, Master Yun gestured for me to follow him as we made our ascent up the mountain, where the cold wind was blowing fiercely. Master Yun sat down on a stone near the edge, and I sat down cross-legged on the grass in front of him. I asked him why he brought me up here, and he told me that he wanted to teach me some important lessons.

He then told me that I was too kind-hearted, and asked me how many types of people there were. I replied that there were many types of people, but my answer was not satisfactory to Master Yun. He used a stick to strike me on the head, and as I held my head and tried to hold back my tears, he began to explain further.

"There are two types of people in this world," he said. "The first type of people control power, while the second type of people are controlled by power. The first type of people are those who have good control over their emotions and thoughts. There is a saying that goes, 'The mind is the friend of the one who has control over it, and the mind is the enemy of the one who has no control over it.' Let me explain this clearly.

"The mind can be either a friend or an enemy, depending on one's ability to control it. For those who have mastered their thoughts and emotions, the mind can serve as a valuable ally, helping them achieve their goals and leading them towards happiness and fulfillment. However, for those who are unable to control their thoughts and emotions, the mind can become a source of suffering, causing restlessness, anxiety, and unhappiness."

As Master Yun spoke, I couldn't help but think about my own life as a blind person. Despite my lack of sight, I have always relied on my heightened senses and mental powers to navigate the world. But now, I realized that there was a whole other level of control and mastery that I needed to attain if I wanted to truly live a fulfilling life."

"After finishing his explanation, Master Yun stood up from the rock and told me to return the next day. He left me at the top of the mountain, where I had to make my way down to my temporary home, as climbing a mountain of this size and descending it in one day is not something a normal person could handle. However, I am not a normal person. I am a 12th level soul master and I have absorbed a soul ring, which makes me stronger than most. Despite this, I struggled to reach the top of the mountain.

When I finally arrived, I found Master Yun sitting on the same rock as before. He scolded me for being late and as a punishment, he ordered me to hang from a tree using only my hands for half an hour. I hung there, sweating profusely, as 30 minutes seemed like an eternity. Finally, when the time was up, I let go of the branches and dropped to the ground. Master Yun gave me 5 minutes to rest before telling me to meet him at the same spot where we ended our lesson the day before.

I made my way to the designated spot, feeling drained and exhausted. My hands were numb and my energy levels were low, but I persevered and sat down in front of the rock. Master Yun soon arrived and sat down on the rock as well. As soon as I sat down, I felt a sense of relaxation wash over me.

Master Yun asked me where we left off in our lessons, and I replied that we were discussing the mind. He nodded and said, "Oh, today I should teach you about the concept of greed.

As Master Yun spoke, I could sense the conviction in his words. "Greed consumes a person," he began, "leaving them never satisfied with what they have. The desire for wealth and material possessions is insatiable, like a fire that burns endlessly, consuming everything in its path."

He then looked at me with a serious expression, "Do you understand the significance of these words?" I admitted that I was still trying to grasp their meaning, and he nodded, agreeing to explain further.

"Greed creates a never-ending cycle of desire and dissatisfaction," Master Yun explained. "No matter how much a greedy person accumulates, it will never be enough to quench their thirst for more. This often leads to unhappiness, frustration, and emptiness, as well as harmful actions towards others."

"It is important to be aware," he continued, "that greed can consume a person's life, leaving them feeling unfulfilled. The only way to live a fulfilling and content life is to resist the urge to acquire more and cultivate gratitude for what we already have."

Master Yun's words were impactful, and I left that day with a deeper understanding of the destructive power of greed and the importance of avoiding it.

After Master Yun finished explaining the dangers of greed, he slowly stood up from the rock and said to me, "It's time for you to rest. You recently absorbed a soul ring, and it would be good for your body to take some time to recover. We'll continue with your training in a few days." I nodded in agreement and made my way back down the mountain, feeling exhausted from the physical exertion of the day's training.

Finally reaching my home, I fell onto my bed, exhausted from the climb and the punishment. The next few days were spent in rest and recovery, allowing my body to heal and rejuvenate.

On the fourth day, I felt ready to begin training again. I decided to focus on my archery skills, as I hadn't been able to practice for a few days. I was determined to improve my skills without relying on my soul skills and instead focused on targeting fish in the river. The sound of the flowing water made it more difficult to use my senses to find the target, but it also improved my senses and archery skills significantly.

As the days passed, I could see the progress I was making. My aim was becoming more precise, and my senses were becoming more attuned to my surroundings. I was filled with a sense of pride and satisfaction, knowing that I was becoming better and better with each day of training.
