14 Shrek Academy!

Soon, a week passes and it's time to enrol at Shrek Academy. During the week I was able to evolve my Phoenix Regeneration skill to become a black 10,000-year-old ring thanks to grinding while in the Spirit Ascension Realm, and my increased time from upgrading my Immortal Realm. It's power of regeneration doubled with each evolution, becoming 48 times my natural regeneration. Now, I can basically fight without getting tired, and heal insanely fast, unless they are able to kill me in one hit, I will be able to quickly regenerate my damage, but it doesn't help with my Spirit Regeneration. The girls spent their time trying to fuse their 3rd Spirit Abilities together, as they feel they have the biggest chance of successfully fusing, but with so little time, they can't make large progress.

We stand in the crowd as people try to register their name down when one of the rejected kids parent starts complaining to the old man at the desk, "What! Failed?! My son's performance was outstanding at his previous academy! Don't think you can get away with this! Give me a refund!"

The old man at the desk just yawns and replies, "I've told you, application fee is 10 gold pieces, no refund. Next!"

The parent slams on the tabled while yelling with spit coming out of his mouth, "No way! 10 gold is daylight robbery!! Had I known Shrek Academy was this rotten, I would have never come!"

The old man just sighs and looks over his shoulder to a tall youth with long blonde hair and heterochromia eyes, "Mu Bai, someone wants to refund their application fee, handle it."

Dai Mu Bai jumps to the front and releases his spirit rings, "You want a refund? Sure! You can have a refund as long as you can beat me."

Seeing his three Spirit Rings, the parent of the kid goes pale, and mutters something about his 'bad luck' then takes his kid and leaves.

The old man at the admission desk stands up, "Our Shrek Academy does not accept ordinary people, the 'Shrek' in our Shrek Academy stands for a monster. Even among Spirit Beasts it is an oddity, meaning our Shrek Academy is only for monsters among Spirit Masters. The most basic requirements are to be 12 years old and a Spirit Power over the 20th rank. If you do not meet those requirements, there is no need to waste your time here, unless you want to give us money." The old man also releases his Spirit Rings as a show of authority to the unwilling parents, a full six rings including a 10,000-year-old Spirit Ring.

All the previously unsatisfied parents stared at the Spirit Rings in fear, before quietly bringing their children to leave. When they all left there was only a dozen people left. A couple people were able to pass the first entrance exam and left to go wait at the second exam, when a young girl with pink hair goes up, unaccompanied by any adults. She shows her spirit to the old man, who lets out a strange noise and has a face of bewilderment, "Do your parents know you're here?"

The young girl replies with an annoyed face, "As long as I meet the academy's requirements, you have no reason not to accept me, right?"

The old man laughs awkwardly, "You are right, as long as you pass the requirements, status doesn't matter, you can go to the next exam."

After the girl walks off, two people went up, a young man with blue eyes and medium-length blue hair, and a young girl with long brown hair tied in a scorpion braid all the way to her bottom. I recognise these two as Tang San and Xiao Wu as they hand over a small bag of coins, "We are applying together." They quickly pass after showing their Spirit Rank and Spirits.

We were the last ones, until a girl with long black hair appeared, she had a cold expression that I normally only see on Little Yue when she is around strangers, her breasts are pretty big, in between Feng Feng's and Little Yue's. She lines up behind us, so we walk up and set a bag of money on the table, "We are applying together."

The old man looks at me like I'm an idiot, "Didn't you hear me earlier? I said you have to be 12 or younger to enrol."

I feel my face twitch a bit but hold my expression, "We just look a little older, if you check our bones you will see we are still 12…"

The old man gives me a suspicious look as if I'm playing a trick on him but still checks our palms. Naturally we pass as the old man talks to us, "Alright, you guys have a suitable age, now show me your Spirit Rings." The girls and I release our Spirit Rings, I use Illusion Ice Transformation to show 2 yellow rings and 2 purple rings.

The old man lets out a yelp with an astonished look on his face, "F-four Spirit Rings, you are a Spirit Ancestor at just 12 years old!!"

I smile to him, "So, do you think I count as a monster?"

He nods his head repeatedly and tells me that I can skip to the final exam. The girls also get a pass because they have never even had a 12-year-old Spirit Elder before. After he points us in the direction we start moving, soon we are able to catch up to Tang San where they have already met Oscar, "Hey, we have passed the entrance exams as well, is it alright if we go with you all?"

Dai Mu Bai looks at the girls and instantly tries to seduce them, "Of course, it is alright to come with us, you two beauties, come with this big brother and I can help you skip to the last entrance exam."

Little Yue's eyes frost over as she emits a deathly cold, while Feng Feng begins to flare up, "You stupid freak! You think you are worthy of being our big brother?! Can't you see this ring on our fingers, we are already married women and we don't need a useless play boy like you!"

Everyone around is shocked by her outburst except for Little Yue and me. I give a laugh that isn't a laugh and caress Feng Feng's head as I stare at Dai Mu Bai, "These two are my wives, so you better back off now, otherwise I will slaughter you." As I say this, I let off a bit of bloodlust that I cultivated from slaughtering hundreds of thousands in the Spirit Ascension Realm and Spirit Arena.

The wave of bloodlust surges through all of them, making them shiver uncontrollably. Little Yue and Feng Feng are unaffected by it as I have trained them in resisting various pressures before, including bloodlust and 100,000-year-old Spirit Rings.

Originally, Dai Mu Bai looked ready to fight, but now his face is deathly pale. Tang San intervenes as he is the first to recover, "Calm down, Brother Mu Bai was in the wrong this time, please forgive him he didn't mean it in a bad way."

I look at Tang San and accept him, "Fine, I am just a bit overprotective of my girls, I'm sure you can understand seeing from the way you blocked my killing intent for that rabbit girl behind you."

Hearing my words, Tang San blushes a little and doesn't answer, while Xiao Wu stares at me with a shocked look, wondering if I know who she is, but nobody else picks up on my wording, so she pretended like nothing happened.

Dai Mu Bai also recovered and apologised for going too far, since I know he isn't really a bad guy I accept his apology. Together we go towards the next exam, where Mu Bai tells the teacher to let us skip to the final entrance exam. The other students that are there get a bit rowdy saying we have special privileges, so Tang San says he will just do the entrance exam to make it fair.

He picks up the Essence Orb and inputs his Spirit Power, showing his Spirit Rank of 29. The teacher testing laughs and says, "Haha, see that! If you guys have a Spirit Rank over 25 then you can also skip to the final exam."

Next, Xiao Wu does it, showing her rank 29 as well. Then the pink haired girl also qualified at rank 26 as she introduces herself as Ning Rong Rong. Suddenly, the Essence Orb is snatched from her hands by the black-haired beauty that was lined up behind us in the first exam.

It was Zhu Zhuqing with a Spirit Rank of 27. Next were the two girls and they both displayed a Spirit Rank of 31, shocking all present. They then look towards their husband, me, with envy and expectation. I walk up and grab the Essence Orb, inserting my Spirit Power.

It glows much brighter than the others, showing a Spirit Rank of 41. The testing grounds are silent for a while, before whispers start to spread among the kids. They stare at me in both horror and admiration.

Nobody else shows a Spirit Rank over 25 so the rest of us move towards the fourth examining area. Along the way Dai Mu Bai begins to talk to us, "The final test is real life combat, if you can't pass this test then you would have wasted your time. Since the academy has been established 20 years ago, the academy has only accepted 42 students, if the seven of you pass this exam, then it will set a new record."

Feng Feng, surprised that an academy that has been established for over 20 only has on average 2 students per year. She asks, "Then how many students are in the academy right now?"

"Including me, there are three, this is the only school in the entire Dou Luo Continent where there are more teachers than students."

Ning Rong Rong then asks, "If there are too few students, won't the income be zero?"

Dai Mu Bai replies, "Yes, that's why we live in this small village. The principle is adamant on only accepting monsters, he once said that he would rather shut down the school than to accept trash."

As we reached the fourth examining area we were talking about the strength of the teachers, when suddenly a large man walks up to us, his body is built like a bear, he must be over 2 metres tall. Dai Mu Bai looks at him shocked, "Teacher Zhao, wasn't it agreed that I would be the final examiner, what are you doing here?"

Zhao Wuji laughs and says, "It's alright, it will be more interesting this way. Plus, I will let them attack me together, so it will be fair."

All the others look at him suspiciously, but I know that he is a level 76 Spirit Saint. After Dai Mu Bai informs them of his Spirit Rank, they gather together and introduce themselves.
