"It's finally here!" Cheered Shining Light "What everyone has been waiting for, the finals to decide the strongest of their generation. Let cheer them up!"

"DARKNESS!" A pillar of light fell over one of the gates, illuminating Darkness with her greatsword on her hands as she approached the ring "Against GOLDEN DRAGON!" Another pillar of light fell onto the other side, illuminating Xueqin.

Both finalists stepped up to the ring, facing each other.

"Without further delay, START!" Shining Light declared, all the ring being illuminated.

Xueqin invoked his Golde Dragon Sword and kicked the ground dashing towards Darkness as his sword shined with a golden intent. Equally, Darkness dashed towards him, swinging her greatsword covered by a black aura.

"Clang!" Both greatsword smashed with great strength, both being pushed 3 meters back. They were evenly matched.

They quickly reacted, kicking the ground and launching again towards the other.

"Clank!" Gold and black intent flashed everywhere, illuminating their surroundings with each strike, as they swung their greatswords madly, connecting an attack after the other, not letting a moment for breath.

"Clank!" "Clank!" Both styles focused on power and strength, overwhelming the opponent, facing an evenly matched opponents, they were pushing themselves to the limit, each strike becoming stronger than the last, their momentum accumulating with it as their auras grew stronger. It seemed like each of them was fighting against a mirror.

"Clank!" Both clashed separating 10 meters, their momentum reaching their peak.

Darkness stepped forward, the ground cracking under her. She jumped forward, spinning her body as the black aura from her greatsword exploded "<Sword Intent: Swirling Darkness Explosion>!"

Just as Xueqin was pushed, backing his sword, Xueqin reverted his momentum, charging forward, thrusting his sword "<Sword Intent: Golden Dragon Shocks the Heaven>!" A golden dragon appeared over his greatsword, roaring as he charged forward Darkness.

"BOOOM!" Both attacks clashed causing a great explosion, a cloud of dust filling the place. Darkness and Xueqin were shot out of the cloud, towards outside the ring, their eyes closed.

They opened their eyes at the same time, they were fierce and determined. Both pierced their greatswords over the ring, stopping themselves and finally landing. Streaks blood could be seen over their lips due to the rebound of such clash.

"AGGGGGG!" Darkness shouted in full anger, her eyes shining with a dark and purple light, the aura around her exponentially increasing "I'LL KILL YOU!" Darkness roared in anger as she charged towards Xueqin, far faster than before.

Xueqin was overwhelmed by her momentum, keeping his sword pierced on the ground, he focused his Sword Intent over it, shining with a golden light "<Sword Intent: Golden Dragon Climbs to Heaven>!"

"Roarrrrrr!" A golden dragon shot upwards from Xueqin's sword.

"Booom!" Darkness clashed with the golden dragon, her momentum was so high that both attack canceled each other, the golden dragon being destroyed while she was pushed over 3 meters. However, it was clearly Darkness' victory, she didn't even use a Sword Intent form and was able to match Xueqin's technique, her energy expense of energy being far less and the same was for her recoil.

Darkness was able to move before Xueqin, swirling her greatsword, swinging it to Xueqin. Xueqin couldn't do anything to avoid it, he was barely able to lift his greatsword to block it, not being able to focus enough Sword Intent in it.

"Clank!" Xueqin was pushed over 6 meters, Darkness' Intent clinging to him, invading his body trying to weaken him.

"AGGGGGG!" Darkness seemed in a berserk state, she charging towards Xueqin, swinging continuously her greatsword towards Xueqin with er strength and speed reaching a new level.

Xueqin could only block the attacks, completely pushed to the defensive. With every strike, Xueqin was growing weaker while Darkness momentum grew in her savage state, putting Xueqin against the ropes.

"That's it?" Shining Light opened her mouth shocked as she looked with a frightful expression towards Darkness.

"Corruption" Over her throne, Sword Douoluo said.

"It took Old Light too long to realize" Death Sword Douluo spatted looking down at Shining Light "It was obvious since the first time that I saw that girl. Old Light certainly didn't improve at all in these years" He shook his head before turning towards Sword Douluo "What would we do? Killing her?"

"She would be the one to decided" Sword Douluo answered coldly without any emotion "If she is consumed by corruption or she is able to use it to grow up, breaking free from it, it would be up to her. I will act accordingly."

"You continue being too easy, Seventh sister. "We should stop any probability of that happening again, but..." Death Sword Douluo sighed "I'll respect your decision, do whatever you want" He said before returning to look towards the stage.

"Bang!" Xueqin was pushed again, falling to his knee as darkness was clinging all over his body, focusing Sword Intent becoming incredibly difficult while Darkness strikes had already reached the level of a technique, not far in strength than her Swirling Darkness.

"DIE!" Darkness roared, dark aura swirled around her greatsword, concentring a great deal of it, preparing to her final attack "AGGGG!" She swung towards Xueqin, her sword swallowing its surroundings as it approached Xueqin, blinding everything, people expecting the final of this match

"BOOM!" There was a great explosion, creating big cloud dust. From inside it, a body was shot outside at a great speed. Against what everyone thought, it was Darkness the one being shot over, her body injured.

"GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" A loud dragon roar resounded all over the stadium,. It dispersed all the dust revealing Xueqin's body.

He stood over it, his eyes shining in strong red light, expressing a great rage and madness, his pupils changing to slices, like a dragon's eyes. Moreover, all over his right hand, golden scales had appeared, a golden claw forming over his hand holding his greatsword, more scales slowly climbing their way up to his arm.

The roar not only had dispersed all the dust, it even had dispersed the darkness clinging all over his body. Now only a golden radiance was exuded all around him, expulsing any taint.

"That's strange" Death Sword Douluo commented.

"He was infected by corruption, but instead of it taking over him, it seems like it awakened something inside him. Strong enough to even destroy that corruption" Sword Douluo analyzed "Now, he is unable to control himself."

"AGGGGG!" Darkness spun her body, she kicked the ground and madly charged towards Xueqin, her aura becoming stronger.

"BOOM!" Both greatswords met again, both being shot over, but they didn't stop. They madly chased at the other while swinging their swords, wanting to destroy the other.

"BOOM!" "BOOOM!" "BOOOOM!" Their clashes were incredibly strong, destroying their surroundings, their power far surpassing their limits. Their bodies were breaking under their own strength and the clashes, bones breaking could be heard, veins popping, blood covering their bodies.

However, they seemed to not even feel pain, it didn't matter how bad it was their state, they continued madly charging to the other, wanting to tear the other apart. It wasn't no longer a fight of humans, they had forgotten any technique or style, focusing on purely strength. It was better described as a fight between mindless beasts, the only faint glimpse of intelligence being that they keep holding their greatsword.

"BOOOOOOM!" They clashed again. The darkness around Darkness was so thick and strong that her body couldn't be even seen now, completely swallowed in a lump of pure darkness. All over Xueqin's body, golden scales had grown, quickly climbing over his neck, almost reaching his head, the only part not covered.

'You need to calm dow' A warm and holy voice resounded over Xueqin's mind, but his anger had grown too strong, the warm voice unable to reach it.

"BOOOOOOOOOOM!" Veins popped over their left arms, all the bones of it breaking it, the arms hanging down immobile. But they didn't stopped.

'You must stop!' The warm voice was full of worry, crying praying him to stop, as the golden scales over Xueqin were already forming a dragon head over Xueqin's head. If he completed his transformation, it would be too late for him, being swallow eternally into his madness.

"AGGGGG!" Darkness exploded from Darkness' greatsword, swinging it towards Xueqin with a darkness strong enough to even swallow herself.

"GRRRRRR!" Roared Xueqin, the golden scales almost all over his body, the last scales growing to cover all his face.

'Calm down, son!' "SHING!" A golden light surged from Xueqin's forehead, piercing over the sky. It was nothing like the domineering golden aura covering his body, this was warm and calm, holy and divine that seemed to repel any bad feeling away from it.

A glimpse of a golden halo appeared over Xueqin's head, light surged everywhere. Xueqin's golden scales instantly disappeared, being purified by the holy light, his eyes returning to his golden ones, recovering his sanity as they shined with a warm golden light.

The holy light went out as quickly as it came, disappearing completely, revealing Xueqin and Darkness next to each other.

Darkness was also directly hit by the holy light, it had stopped her attack and purified the lump of darkness around her, revealing her figure again. However, a little darkness was still clinging her greatsword, her eyes a little unfocused yet, the holy light unable to fully purify her energy. Even if the holy light was incredibly powerful, Xueqin hadn't enough strength to sustain it.

"Agg!" Darkness swung her greatsword towards the immobile Xueqin who was immobile after that strange light appeared, attacking directly at his head for the kill.

"NO!" Darkness shouted with strength and conviction. The darkness over the stage, started swirling around her "I'm sad and angry with Qinqin. But, I don't want to kill him, even if I can't forgive him. I love him!" She shouted in her mind, the purple aura around her trembled as the swirling darkness started swallowing it.

'You will fall in the end. Everyone will fall' the evil voice resounded full of grudge before disappearing.

"Flash!" Two wings surged from Darkness' back, they seemed to be from an angel, but they were pitch black. A flash of black light surging from it, expanding the darkness around her encircling into a dark dome all the ring, the darkness empowering inside it.

Shining Light opened her eyes surprised "Domain!"
