4 Dragon Sword Set and Training

The rays of light fell upon a child face who was still sleeping in his room. Yesterday, the Spirit Awakening Ceremony was held and Shuu, after awakening his Spirit Essence fainted because of insufficient soul power. It was a norm that the children would faint as they summoned their Spirit Essence for the first time.

After a night worth of sleep, Shuu had already recovered his soul power and began to wake up from his slumber. The first thing he did after he woke up was to check his body condition. From his observation, his body was in top-notch condition with soul power flowing through his meridians. He was already at Rank 10 which he could immediately go and obtain a Spirit Ring from Spirit Beast.

"Shuu, how are you feeling today?" Takashi asked with concern and Shuu could see his mom was also worried about him. " I'm feeling great mom!" Shuu was truly feeling great and wanted to dispel his parents' concern for him. His parents released a sigh as if a burden was lifted up from their shoulders.

"Shuu, I know that you have always been a perceptive child. You must have noticed something unique about our sect and its members' Spirit Essences. Hold on your questions for a while. Your grandpa will be back in about a month. I believe he is more qualified to tell you about our sect. After that, he will also bring you to obtain your first Spirit Ring." Takashi told Shuu with a smile. He was actually proud of his son as he has awoken his Spirit Essence with full innate soul power. Eventhough his son's Spirit Essence was different from the rest, it was not a major concern for him.

"Okay, dad. In this one month, I want to familiarize with my swords." His parents nodded their head, agreeing with their son's decision. They decided to leave as they did not want to interrupt their son focus.

After cleaning his body, Shuu began with light exercised first to warm up his body in the training are outside of his house. Then, he inspected his Spirit Essence that had resided in his body. Information about the set of swords flowed through his brain as if it was normal. He realized that his set of swords was very powerful. He could consume his soul power to summoned both his katana and wakizashi separately or simultaneously. The thing he needed to make note of was the soul power consumed when he summoned both swords at the same time. He had to consume a massive amount of soul power to summon both of them. However, the reason Shuu said that his tool spirit was powerful was because of the doubled effect of any Spirit Ability used with both swords were summoned together.

With that said, he focused his soul power towards the katana resided in him. He wanted to summon his katana first to gauge the amount of soul power needed to maintain his tool spirit. A katana with dragon carving on its handle and its blade. Shuu in his stance then started to practice the basic movement of sword art that included slash, stab, parry, and more. The soul power consumed by one sword was minimal. Shuu could maintain using either one of his katana and wakizashi for about 30 minutes before his soul power depleted. With his body full of sweats, he began to recover his soul power, he wanted to experiment by summoning both swords simultaneously. He took a deep breath and summoned his Dragon Sword Set. A katana materialized in his right hand while in his left hand, he was holding his wakizashi. Shuu could feel his soul power was consumed at a fast rate. He concluded that with his rank 10 soul power, he could only maintain both his swords for 3 minutes at maximum. Nevertheless, he did not complain about the expenditure. He knew his Spirit Essence's potential.

He quickly arranged his schedule for training for one month while waiting for his grandfather to come back home. After he had awoken his Spirit Essence, he knew that his body supplemented by dense soul power would not hurt his foundation. He could now begin his martial art practice.

In one month, he would divide his practice session into 4 sections. These 4 sections would be the foundations of his future fighting technique. First, he believed that hand-to-hand was the basic to everything. He knew that he could not only depend on his swords all the time. For the second section, he would practice by using one of his swords. He would train single sword-wielding his katana on his right hand and then his wakizashi on his left hand. He was not like any other six-year-old children, he already realized on most of the occasion he could only depend on single sword-wielding as using both his swords consumed too much soul power. He could only maintain them for a short moment. The next section, he focused on integrating hand-to-hand combat while wielding one sword which Shuu believed it was an efficient fighting technique. Last but not least, he would train dual wielding to familiarized with his trump card. Dual wielding would be his trump card as his soul power is still low.

It was not realistic to master all of that in one month. Even then, he believed he would see the basic form of his future fighting technique. 29 days passed quickly as he went through his training. Tomorrow would be the day when his kind grandfather would be back. Today, he requested his father to be his sparring partner. Only by fighting wound enable Shuu to see his fruits of training.

"Are you ready, Shuu?" In front of Shuu, Takashi was already in his stances. Takashi did not have any form of weapons. He believed his fists were enough for today. A smile could be seen on Shuu's face as he summoned his katana.

"Yes, dad!"
