Chapter 8 : Preparation Part 1

The next day early morning Tang San went to visit Lan Ying. He saw him sitting on a rock near the cliff. He went to Lan Ying and asked curiously, " Good morning Xiao Ying. Now what did you want to tell me about." Xiao Ying turned around to see Tang San standing right behind him and then laughingly said, " Ah good morning to you too. So eager to know my secret hmm." Tang San blushed hearing the teasing tone in Lan Ying's voice and said," Ah stop teasing me, you were the one who called me. If you're not gonna be serious I'm leaving there is some work given by Dad that I have to finish." " Sorry sorry Xiao San well you see just like you I too have a second martial spirit which is named Absolute elemental phoenix. Since you trusted me so much to show me your second spirit. I also thought to not keep any secrets from you too." " WHATT! you have a second spirit too? I- um can you show it to me." Tang San asked with astonishment and curiosity. Instead of replying Xiao Ying activated his second spirit and behind him a magnificent phoenix appeared. Its whole body was covered in orange, red, yellow fur with tints of black and white. The end of the wings were in varied shades of green, blue along with the tail. It had sharp purple eyes.

Tang was in awe when he saw the beautiful phoenix. Lan Ying smiled happily when he saw the expression on Tang San face. "Your spirit is very beautiful Xiao Ying." Tang San said. " Thank you for the compliment. I- well I still have something I want to talk to you about Xiao San and you must answer truthfully okay." " Of course Xiao Ying." Tang San said sincerely. " I- uh well to be frank with you, I like you as in romantically. So umm you probably realised that I like you romantically even though I'm a boy. So if you don't like me just please say it now, I really don't want to get my hopes up." Lan Ying said in a trembling voice. He looked at Tang San, only to see his face expressionless. He really liked Tang San but he did want to force him in a relationship with him if he did not like him back. After all if the other party did not like you, what was even the point of forcing your affection on that person.

Tang San looked at Lan Ying blankly not because he didn't like Lan Ying but because he was suprised, he didn't think Lan Ying would ask him such a question NOW. He looked at Lan Ying and saw that he was actually about to cry so he hurriedly spoke "Of course I like you back" " R-really, you really like me back" Lan Ying asked in a small voice. " Yes I really do" Lan Ying was so happy that he suddenly hugged Tang San. After discussing this matter, they spent some more time together before they went to prepare themselves for the academy in these 3 months.
