Chapter 20: Battle the so-called Monsters

*Boom**Bang**Boom*

A huge rumbling was heard around the village where Shrek was located. Due to the huge tremors caused by Nian Zhen, the students and Staff currently sleeping at their respective dorms woke up in a hurry.

"Sister Zhuqing, what happened." Ning Rongrong asked in a frightened tone.

"This…" Looking outside of the window, what the Dorm members saw was a huge mushroom cloud of dusts.

*boom*

A huge shockwave hit the Dorm windows causing it to shatter.

"What is happening…!?" Tang San whispered.

"Boss Dai, let's go check it out." Oscar said to Dai Mubai.

Nodding, the whole group went towards Nian Zhen.

"Long time no see, Old Man." Nian Zhen said with a mocking tone. After the dust settled down a bit, a figure was seen standing on top of a tree.

"You are..?" Tang Hao frowned, unable to remember clearly who the figure belonged to.

"You have already forgotten about me? Are you amnesic or what?" Nian Zhen said, trying to balance himself from falling down. Tang Hao forgot him in just 3 years. Is he so irrelevant?

'...It's you kid!" Tang Hao said, surprise flashing in his face.

"Sigh…." Nian Zhen sighed before coming down from the tree.

"Is that kid your friend? He is clearly a monster? What rank is he to achieve such destruction?" Zhao Wuji asked Flender who was equally shocked.

"I don't know. I met that kid yesterday. He seemed fun and reminded me of my past so I made him my friend but.." Flender said.

"That kid is no way similar to you during your childhood…" Zhao Wuji grumbled.

"Dean Flender, I will pay for the destruction of your property. Go back and calm down your people." Nian Zhen said while bowing to Flender as an apology.

"..O-Okay."

"Old Man, leave Zhao Wuji alone for now. He was just testing your son. Will you fight every single person who hurt Tang San?" Nian Zhen said with a smile.

"...."

"You have started to become more and more unpredictable. What the hell was up with that attack. If you had not held back, even I would get seriously injured." Tang Hao said, remembering that destructive attack.

[To be able to find that the Host held back, this man is as impressive as ever.] Enron commented.

"Fine, I will let it go. But you must understand that whoever hurts my child will end up dead." Tang Hao said coldly to Flender.

Nodding his head rapidly, Flender decided to run away with Zhao Wuji before Tang Hao changes his mind.

"Boy, how did you know I would come here?" Tang Hao asked doubtfully.

"Seeing how much you used to brag about your son three years ago, I knew for sure you would try to hurt Zhao Wuji after he hurt your son today." Nian Zhen said indifferently.

".....Then I guess you have something to ask of me? Otherwise you would not come here." Tang Hao said faintly.

"As sharp as always huh….Yes, though you gave me the token for slaughter city, I don't know the exact location of Slaughter City. I hope you will take me there." Nian Zhen said in a rather respectful way.

"Hoh...and you expect me to believe that? Not that it matters. Fine, I will take you there." Tang Hao said.

"Old man, stay in this city for some time. After I have completed my business let's head there." Nian Zhen said, looking at Tang Hao's fleeting figure.

Heading back, Nian Zhen saw Flender, the staff and the Students gathered around.

"Dean, what was that huge noise? It felt as if the land was being torn apart…" Ma Hongjun asked.

"This...it was..well...an attack." Flender said remembering that scene.

"!!!?"

"An enemy attack?" Lu Jibin, an old man, asked.

"Well…"

"Dean Flender….here this is the repairing cost." Nian Zhen's voice suddenly disrupted conversation. Looking at him, Nian Zhen wore a bright smile on his face as he handed a bag full of gold to Flender.

"Uhm...XiaoYun. What happened there." Oscar asked.

"My family member ended up battling someone suspicious. The matter has been settled though so no need to worry. Right Dean Flender?" Nian Zhen said with a mysterious smile.

Silently putting the bag full of gold away, Flender relentless nodded.

"By the way, Xiao San this is for you. The suspicious person gave it to me." Nian Zhen said, handing out a letter and bag filled with money to Tang San as he headed off towards the dorm.

Looking at the parchment, Tang San felt his eyes tearing up. "Father…"

The next day, the training field of Shrek Academy.

8 figures were seen discussing something. They were Tang San, Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong, Oscar, Dai Mubai, Zhu Zhuqing, Ma Hongjun and Zhao Wuji. They were currently discussing how to train to improve in their respective field of expertise.

"Good morning everyone." An enthusiastic voice was heard from behind the 8 of them. Turning around, they saw Nian Zhen leisurely walking towards them with an extremely bright smile.

"Whenever I see him smile like that, I always feel I am about to be eaten alive. I don't know why?" Dai Mubai whispered. Hearing it, the others ended up nodding as well.

"So shall we get ready. Are you prepared?" Nian Zhen asked them.

Glancing at each other, the seven devils nodded resolutely.

Yesterday before going back to bed, Nian Zhen asked them if they wanted to spar with him. Hearing this Oscar and Ma Hongjun started laughing while saying Nian Zhen not to joke. But after hearing about the Rose Hotel incident from Tang San and Xiao Wu the two completely shut up.

Looking at Nian Zhen, Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong's face were filled with shock. Dai Mubai was already a strong warrior at the rank above 32. To be able to easily deflect his attack, Nian Zhen was obviously stronger than Dai Mubai.

Immediately Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing stride towards Nian Zhen in order to catch him by surprise. Oscar wanted to hand out his 'Sausage' to them but they clearly refused it. Now only Ning Rongrong was their support.

Giving the two their boosts, the proud young lady had an extremely smug look on her face. She always regarded herself as a genius that stands above all geniuses.

"Xiao Wu, Go!" Tang San said to Xiao Wu. Heeding his call, Xiao Wu jumped and immediately closed in towards Nian Zhen.

Whips formed from Bluesilver grass went deep inside the ground and silently went towards Nian Zhen while being controlled by Tang San.

Ma Hongjun had clad himself in fire as he rushed towards Nian Zhen with his fat body.

5 enhanced attacks directly hit Nian Zhen. The shockwaves caused by the attacks formed dust clouds around Nian Zhen.

"Did it work…." Tang San thought. After seeing Nian Zhen's power that day, Tang San could only come up with this strategy. Directly attacking Nian Zhen with their full power right from the start. Who could blame him. It was already impressive to be able to come up with this strategy in only a night.

But the next scene completely destroyed Tang San's expectations. After the dust settled down, 5 figures were seen in a very strange posture. Nian Zhen was planning to use his Dragon martial soul for this fight. Nian Zhen's arms and legs were now covered in black scaled dragon arms with red and golden runes and lines.

The Scales produced hot flames burning down Tang San's Blue Silver Grass. His right arm had caught Zhu Zhuqings claws while the left arm had caught Dai Mubai's claw. His left leg had blocked Xiao Wu's kick while the black receiver had blocked Ma Hongjun's attack.

"Searing Shot…."

A huge force came out from Nian Zhen's body directly sending the 4 flying off somewhere. Due to the impact, craters were formed around the place where the 4 crashed. The four directly lost their consciousness due to the impact.

"Wew. That actually scratched me." Nian Zhen was slightly surprised when he saw a scratch on his Dragon scales.

"That was a good plan. Too bad it didn't work huh." Saying so, Nian Zhen closed in on Tang San. Not giving him a chance to react, Nian Zhen had already kicked Tang San with his left leg pinning him onto the ground which instantly made Tang San lose his consciousness.

Soon after that, Nian Zhen went towards Oscar and Ning Rongrong, who were in a petrified state, and directly knocked them down, smashing them into the ground.

[The match ended in less than 2 minutes, Host.]

"2 minutes..? Sigh..I am losing my touch." Nian Zhen said while shaking his head.

"Uhh...Where am I?" Tang San said while looking around. The sun was already setting by the time the 7 unconscious people woke up. Stacked together groans and moans were heard as everyone started to wake up.

"So...How do you feel." The 7 heard an indifferent voice. Looking at the source , they saw Nian Zhen smiling at them.

"We lost…?" Ning Rongrong said in a daze.

"Yes you lost. Who would have thought that the so-called Monsters would be just a group of brats playing around. Yes, you may be a monster in your age-group. But that doesn't mean you are strong. Genius? More like fools. You should have already guessed that I would be able to easily defeat you when I said I was gonna fight you all together. But your pride as a genius blinded you. You may be a genius among your clan or circle but know that there are people way stronger than you who are the same age as you…" Nian Zhen said mockingly.

If he wants to have fun in the future then the current Shrek Seven Devils need to be way stronger than in the original novel. This much may be fine if they want to deal with Bibi Dong but to deal with Nian Zhen, this much is not enough.

That's why Nian Zhen decided to let them taste utter defeat from someone below or around their age and then mock them.

"Zhao Wuji, take them away and give them this medicine. And tell Dean Flender Ying Yun is gone. If destiny allows we shall meet again." Nian Zhen said as he handed a bag full of medicine to Zhao Wuji, not sparing a glance at the 7 and disappearing from their sight.

[Someone?? You mean the boy tasked to look after Ning Rongrong?]

"Yes. Right now I don't want to deal with two Titled Douluo." Nian Zhen said heading towards a certain direction.

After a while, a figure came to Nian Zhen's sight. Taking out his balck receiver, Nian Zhen penetrated the boy's leg.

"Ahh!! Who!?" The boy asked in a frightened tone.

"Surprise Mofo!" Nian Zhen said as he directly grabbed the boy's neck.

"I know you are going to report today's incident to your sect. Tell them to visit Spirit Hall if they want to receive an explanation." Saying so, Nian Zhen thrashed the boy and disappeared.

"Spirit hall!!?"

"The Elder hall might target me. But Bibi Dong will try to bring me on her side. This is the other reason I used the Spirit Hall's name." Nian Zhen said.
