Chapter 1: A Grave Tragedy (Part 1)

*Boom**Bang*

"Xiao Mu, watch out!"

*Boom*

"Xiao Mu! Are you alright?" somewhere around the extreme north noises related to battle could be heard. A middle aged man could be seen helping another man get up.

"I am fine, tribe chief. Thank You for aiding me. I didn't think the beast would be so strong. Still to think you would kill the beast in a single punch. As overpowered as ever huh.." said the man named Xiao Mu.

"Hahaha! You don't need to think too much" Tribe chief laughed embarrassedly after hearing his partner parsing him.

"But still the amount of beasts on the outskirts have increased lately. We should probably start relocating." said the chief.

"Yes," Xiao Mu said as both of them glanced at the large corpses of the beasts being skinned in order to obtain food and materials by other hunters.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Little Zhen, where are you?" A melodious voice could be heard in the village of the hunter tribe. A woman, ever so beautiful, walked out of her house calling for her child.

"I am here mother" an immature voice was heard as a young boy, around the age of 4-5 waved his arms towards his mother. The boy had a handsome face, obviously not inherited from his father. Resembling his mother a lot, the only thing the young boy had similar with his father was the calm and mature look on his crimson red eyes. Black hair reaching up to his shoulder, many young girls and even older women were attracted by those features.

"Sigh...I don't know how my son can be so attractive just at the age of 5." Shaking her head the woman messed with her child's head not knowing it was her genes that made her son like that.

"Nian Zhen come let's go, your father may come any moment. Go greet him." Said the woman full of love towards her child.

"Okay, Mom!" Nian Zhen said as he trotted towards the entry point of the village.

"Tomorrow marks the 5th year since I came to this world huh." Nian Zhen said as he started reminiscing about his past life. He didn't think that whoever sent him that survey would really send him to the Douluo World.

"Still I am glad that the people in this tribe are extremely nice and care for each other. It's way better than how I was raised in my last life…" bad memories flashed in Nian Zhen's mind.

"No! Lets not think about that time." Shaking his head Nian Zhen looked towards the window of one of the huts. He saw a Cute little boy looking back towards him on the reflection.

"Isn't this type of face value too much? Though I am thankful that I did not inherit that battle maniacs face."

The maniac in Nian Zhen's mind is obviously his father, Nian Yun. His father was a battle crazed person who except for some "time" would only think about fighting with other hunters or beasts. In contrast Nian Zhen's Mother, Ying Yue, was a caring and kind mother….NO!! The only person who can keep the maniac in check was Nian Zhen's mother. Except for the father and son, she used to treat everyone kindly.

One time, when Nian Zhen was just reaching 3 years old, his father tried to give Nian Zhen his long cherished book (Think of it as 'The Plum in the Golden Vase' search it up if you would like) as Nian Zhen had already been able to read even the complex literatures just at the age of 2. As both father and son were making creepy looking faces towards each other with drool rolling down their mouths, Ying Yue had mysteriously appeared behind them. The rest was just the usual, Nian Yun getting hung upside down on the tree for a whole day and Nian Zhen being locked inside the horses stable filled with uncleaned dung for the rest of the day.

"That face my mother made still gives me the creep." Nian Zhen shuddered remembering his mother's face from back then.

"But the tribe is full of surprises. There is no discrimination at all. Everybody is living happily with each other. The most shocking thing is that all of the people above the age of 6 are soul masters. Aren't soul masters supposed to be rare, Enron?"

[Yes host. I too don't understand how everyone in this tribe is a soul master. Even genetically have both parents are soul master may result the offspring to not be a soul master]

"Is it related to the environment we are living in?"

[Enron can't find the answer to that question, host]

"Hmm.." Enron is the AI stored in the chip in my brain which Nian Zhen had requested when he filled the survey. Enron consisted of literally 'Knowledge'. Enron had vast knowledge that was needed by Nian Zhen and many other miscellaneous knowledge. It even had the function allowing Nian Zhen to access songs, movies, shows etc. from his previous life. Every day, the knowledge keeps on updating as new things get discovered in his previous home.

After walking for around 2-3 minutes, Nian Zhen finally reached the entrance of the village. He saw a middle aged man keeping watch slightly bowing towards him. Politely bowing back Nian Zhen noticed a Carriage in the entrance.

"Uncle Hua!" Nian Zhen called towards a middle aged man who had not yet noticed Nian Zhen.

"Little Zhen? Are you here to greet you father?" asked Uncle Hua.

"Yes. Mother told me to go pick father" said Nian Zhen after sighing slightly.

"He did something wrong again didn't he?" Uncle hua smiled bitterly as he inquired what Nian Yun did to anger Ying Yue for the nth time.

"Well," Nian Zhen laughed dryly before turning to look towards the horizon after hearing some sound.

A huge silhouette could be seen with many other small to big figures behind the person coming towards the village.

"Father!" Nian Zhen called as he saw his father and fellow tribesman. The Tribesmen were carrying large bags filled with the loot for the day. They slightly bowed to Nian Zhen with a smile on their face before proceeding towards the carriage to drop the final stock of materials for this month.

Once a month, Uncle Hua would come to their village to buy materials that the tribe had foraged. Uncle Hua's family and Nian Zhen's tribe had always been in a good relation for generations.

After Nian Yun talked with Uncle Hua, he came towards his son.

"Ever so attractive eh, lad" said Nian Yun as he ruffled his son's hair.

Giving his father a blank look, Nian Zhen clicked his tongue.

"Tch.."

"Huh did i just hear you click your tongue?" Nian Yun politely asked his son as he was gripping his Nian Zhen's head with a bit of power.

"Ow!OW! Stop it you maniac. I will tell mother!" Nian Zhen's trump card against his father was obviously his mother.

Hearing that Nian Yun immediately loosened his grip as he looked left and right checking whether his wife was around or not. Leaning slightly, Nian Yun slowly whispered in Nian Zhen's ear.

"Uhh..You mother...Um.. how is her mood right now." Nian Yun asked without noticing how much his voice was shaking.

"I don't know. But I noticed her eyes having no light when she mentioned your name."

*Gulp*

"Mom is not at fault here old man. Who told you to flex your muscles towards other tribe women when you were hung up yesterday. Seriously I don't know why mom has not left you already." Nian Zhen shook his head.

"Uhh….wait what do you mean why your mother has not left me already...oii...brat come back here."

Before Nian Yun could even catch up with his son, Nian Zhen had already ran away towards his home.

Ignoring the sound of laughter of the tribesmen and Xiao Mu, Nian Yun ran in order to catch his son.

Did not know it would be this hard to come up with ideas for your story...
