9 Chapter 9: Hunting for Spirit Ring

[A/N: If you are worry that ROB and Author are taking up part of the story, don't be. I always finish the 1000+ words chapter before putting them in. Also you don't have to read them and I ran out of idea for them so I stopped after chapter 14.]

Rai opened his eye and wonder what happen before checking his surrounding. He saw that he is still in his backyard and give a sigh of relief. He then look up to see the moon and figure that it haven't even been a couple of minute since he passed out.

After reorganizing himself 'Now then, lets see what change, observe'

Age: 6

Spirit Power: 10

Tool Spirit: Full Battle Suit - Evolve from Battle Gear, give the user an all round boost to their stats, unlike other spirit tools that can boost anyone, this spirit tool can only boost the user. It also lower the cost of using spirit skills by storing the would be wasted energy and giving it back to the user.

Spirit Ring: None

Beast Spirit 2: Raiju - A beast of legend that is said to be made up entirely of lightning.

Spirit Ring: None]

[... A boy with limitless potential]

"It works. WAHOO!" Rai shout excitedly, but then realize that it's the middle of the night so he quickly put a hand over his mouth. 'Lets see, the one time use skill is gone and my Battle Gear change to Full Battle Suit. I wonder what it looks like.' Rai thought as he summon his tool spirit.

Rai look at his suit that cover his whole body except for the head and notice it's similar to Red Death Flash without the helmet. It's sliver with streaks of blue and is wolf theme which lead him to wonder if his second spirit influence this one when it evolve.

'Just because this remind me of the flash, I'm going to use this spirit for an Agility System. As for the Raiju, it can be use for Attack system. Man today been a long day, I should go to sleep. Still have to get up to look for a ring with Grandpa tomorrow' Rai thought as he make his into the house to sleep.

The next morning Rai and Grandpa woke up, ate breakfast with Seika. They told her that they are going to the forest for the next step of Rai's training plan. The forest doesn't really have a name and the most powerful Spirit Beast that is living there is only an 1,000 years old Dusk Gold Dreadclaw Bear, so everyone just call it the Dreadclaw forest.

As they reach the forest Grandpa Homura told Rai "Ok Rai, show me you spirit and tell me what you know about it."

"Yes. Grandpa, stand back a little more." Rai said as he also take a few step back. When he feel like it's a good enough distance he release his first spirit. His suit from last night appear over him witch remind him that last night did happen. Remembering what he was shouting cause him to be embarrassed again, but he quickly stop thinking about it so Grandpa Homura won't notice.

"My first spirit is a tool spirit. It's call Full Battle Suit. It can be use to boost any of my stats as long as we find a ring that match it. It also help me conserve my energy so I can last longer in battle. I was thinking of using this spirit as an agility system." Rai explain. Rai look toward Grandpa Homura to see a confused look on his face.

"I thought your first spirit was a pair of glove?" Grandpa Homura asked

"Well, I didn't summon it so only part of it appear" Rai try to say with a straight face with a little sweat rolling down his back. Grandpa Homura look at him and only nod.

Rai then deactivate the tool spirit and summon his second spirit. This time two silver wolf like ear appear on his head. Both the back of his hand and wrist grew some fur. His fingernail turn to claw that seem to discharge lightning every couple of second.

"This is my second spirit." Rai continue. "It's a beast spirit name Raiju. A powerful legendary beast like the dragon. It's a wolf made up entirely out of lightning. I am thinking of using this spirit as an attack system."

Grandpa Homura just look at him for a second then said "Since you already decided on the path of you spirit I won't stop you, but I suggest you get rings for your Battle Suit first and wait until you are stronger to get stronger ring for your Raiju."

"Yes" Rai answer while thinking 'unless I come across a Ring that I like then it doesn't matter if it's stronger cause I can age it.'

"Now then, since you wanted use your Battle Suit as an agility system. I got the perfect spirit beast for you to try to kill." Grandpa Homura told him. "It's call Wind Spirit Wolf. It's a very common agility-type Spirit Beast. But you have to be careful, its speed is incredibly fast, and it travels dozens of meters in an instant." Grandpa Homura waited to make sure Rai understand what he just said then continue "With my training and the protection of my battle suit, you should be able to take the wolf on and win. Lets go find one so we can go back before launch or Seika might get worry."

After searching for what feels like hours, they finally found one sleeping in the distance. Rai as glad that he come along with Grandpa Homura because he is pretty sure he won't be able to find one this soon by himself. It was all thanks to Grandpa Homura tracking skill that they manage to find this one.

As Rai was looking at the Wolf, he think 'observe'.

Power/Age: 400 Years

Ring Drop: Agility Boost - increase agility by 40%]

[A very fast wolf]

Rai just stare unblinkingly at the description of the wolf. 'What's with that description, of course I know it's fast.' Rai thought 'At least it ring is good for something below 1,000 years old.'

As he was thinking he hear Grandpa Homura said. "You will be on you own for this fight. I will only step in if you look like you are in trouble." Rai nodded and start creeping toward the wolf.

[ROB: oh Hi readers. Now some of you might be wondering why I killed Rai ever since I told you that I wasn't the God of Earth]

[ROB: The answer to that is.... it was an accident. For those of you who think since I am omnipotent that shouldn't have happened. I like to remind you that I am OMNIPOTENT, not OMNISCIENT.]

[ROB: How did the accident happen? Well, I was testing out this cool looking move I saw from Naruto, it's the lightning cloak that the Raikage use, couldn't stop in time and ran straight through Rai.*looks around again.]
