22 Chapter 22: Titan Great Ape

[A/N: Last chapter I put 1 million years old ring down, thanks Shilvax I fix that. It was suppose to he 100,000 years old red ring.]

As everyone is waiting, Tang San was trying to use the title douluo aura/pressure to break through. Even if the aura was fake, it was still a title douluo aura. He manage to succeed so he tell everyone that he just broke through and is in need of another ring. Which surprise Rai because Tang San is suppose to break through after Oscar finish. Everyone celebrate and congrats Tang San while they wait for Oscar to finish.

When Oscar finish absorbing the spirit ring and show off his new flying skill to everyone. It was getting dark so everyone went to set up camp when something big cast a shadow over everyone. Rai look up and see what he believe to be Er Ming staring down at everyone. 'Crap. He look a lot bigger in real life." Rai thought.

Then he remember that they were being attack by Er Ming yell "RUN! IT'S A TITAN APE." at everyone. Hearing Rai and noticing the giant ape like figure, they come to the same conclusion and start running. Since Oscar and Rongrong are slow, Rai have to pick them up and start running with everyone else.

After running for a while, and seeing that the Titan Ape is still closing on them, they know that they can't escape. Wuji decide to stay and fight so everyone can escape but no one wanted to leave Wuji behind so everyone attack Er Ming together. Which lead to Xiao Wu being kidnap by the Titan Ape.

As Tang San tell Oscar to give him some tofu and wing mushroom so he can go after Xiao Wu, Rai suddenly speak up.

"I know you will go after Xiao Wu with or without our help." Rai said as he turn Tang San. "But you are the leader, and you have to look after our whole team. So you can't just go running off by yourself."

"THEN WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO DO!" Tang San yell back. "Xiao Wu is the closest person to me, I don't want to lose her."

"I'm not telling you to give up, I am saying you are a leader, so act like one. Use your forces as best as you can to achieve your goal." Rai said "Since I am the fastest person here. I will go scout and see if Xiao Wu is ok while you find a spirit ring to break through. If you do then our chance of rescuing Xiao Wu and escaping will be better even if not by much." Rai then run toward the direction of where Er Ming took Xiao Wu without waiting for anyone to reply.

A few minute later. 'What do I do now?' Rai thought as he know Xiao isn't really in trouble. 'I guess I can follow the Titan Ape trail until I'm able to see it in the distance and wait for Xiao Wu. Since I can sneak up on a sleeping 10,000 mental spirit beast, I don't think an alert Titan Ape can see or sense me from afar.' Rai then continue to follow the trail until he see a giant silhouette in the distance.

Rai waited on the trail because this is the most likely place Xiao Wu will use to get back to the rest of the team. After waiting for a while it finally pay off as he can see a figure wearing pink in the distance. Rai then got up and walk toward Xiao Wu and said "Took you long enough to finish." making Xiao Wu jump up in surprise.

Seeing that it's Rai, Xiao Wu ask "RAI! what are you doing here?"

"I'm waiting for you." Rai answer.

"waiting?" Xiao Wu ask because in her mind from Rai's point of view, it should've been her getting kidnap.

"Yes, I was waiting. I know the Titan Ape won't kill you because if it wanted to, it can just crush you right in front of us." Rai reply. "Also you should hurry up and tell Tang San soon or he might go do something stupid." after thinking for a while Rai added "and I don't mean just that you are safe I mean your other secret too." which surprise Xiao Wu again and put her on guard.

"You don't need to be so jumpy. I know since the day you enter school. Beside you are Seika's friend, she will be sad if you get hurt." Rai said which cause Xiao Wu to relax a bit.

"How do you..." Xiao Wu

"How do I know? Come on, let walk back as we talk." Rai said interrupting her "Mind Game doesn't just let me cast illusion, it also let me see the true nature of things." Rai lie

"So are you going to tell the other?" Xiao Wu ask a bit scare that Rai might tell them.

"I kept your secret until now, there is no reason to tell other." Rai said

"Thank you" Xiao Wu said to Rai in relief.

"Like I say before, you should tell Tang San soon. It won't change the way he treat or feel about you. If you agree I will tell you a secret about Tang San that not even he know." Rai said smiling mischievously. "It'll also make it easier for you to tell him too." Rai try to convince Xiao Wu.

"Let me hear the secret then I will decide" Xiao Wu counter.

"Alright" Rai said, he was going to tell her either way. "Tang San is only half human, the other half is spirit beast." which stun Xiao Wu in place. Noticing that, Rai turn back to Xiao Wu and said "Come on, lets go the other are waiting."

Xiao Wu broke out of her stun state and ask "How do you know that?" Rai only answer by point at his head, more specifically head spirit bone. "Right" Xiao Wu said.

"By the way, don't tell Tang San that he is half spirit beast. When he meet his dad again, his dad will tell him." Rai said.

Xiao Wu thinks for a while then said "Alright, I won't tell him about him being half spirit beast and I will tell him about me being a spirit beast when the time is right."

Rai nodded 'This should help them move their relationship forward a bit' Rai thought. "Come on, help run back. Everyone is worry about you." Rai

After running for a while Rai remember that Xiao Wu was suppose to be 'kidnap' by the titan ape and said "oh right, Xiao Wu, when we reach the other, make sure to come up with a convicing lie about how you escape and that I met you on your way back." To which Xiao Wu just nodded.
