Chapter 7 - Numb from the shock

Xingyun woke up from his deep sleep then became confused when he saw he's in his own room. 'Maybe grandpa brought me home after I passed out', he thought but it didn't linger for his mind much longer because he has to check something he's been waiting for 6 years now.

Xingyun opened his palm and then summoned Blacky, then a red two tailed palm sized cat appeared from his hand, when he saw this cat he cried and hugged it tightly. 'Master?', a childish voice suddenly appeared on Xingyun's mind then he looked at Blacky.

"Is that you Blacky?", he excitedly asked, tears still falling from his eyes.

'Yes Master! did something happen? why are you crying?', Blacky worriedly asked when he saw the tears in Xingyun's eyes.

"No I'm not sad I'm happy, I finally met you again, I've been waiting for six whole years for you, btw don't call me Master just call me Xingyun, I never thought of you as my pet but as a companion", Xingyun said.

'Okay mas- Xingyun! Blacky is happy too to meet you again and I am strong now! I will be the one to protect Xingyun from now on!', Blacky determinedly said, which earned a laugh from Xingyun.

After a few minutes more of snuggling, Xingyun finally let go of Blacky and put him on his shoulder, because of all the crying his eyes became red and he looked at his status to check what changed while he was asleep.

1st blood ring: Clairvoyance(1000 year old) - the user's perception, sight and intuition will be improved by 10% permanently. Note: blood rings enhancement will increase dependent of age, example: if the clairvoyance blood ring reach 2000 years old the enhancement will become 20%.

Active Ability: the user can look at events that happened or will happen in the future, the user can also perceive precenses in the surroundings regardless of whatever hiding method they had, unless they can hide from destiny.

2nd spirit: [Spirit Cat Body]

Spirit Abilities:

1st spirit ring: Lightning speed(1084 years old) - the user's speed will be improved by 50% permanently. Note: the enhancement percentage will increase by 10% each time the user absorbs another ring.

Active Ability: the user's speed will be doubled for a second making the illusion that they can teleport short distances.

Xingyun was shocked by the ability he got from Blacky, it's too OP! he tried to feel the changes in his body and his sight indeed became better, but he couldn't even feel the changes unless he specifically look for it. Even though it's only a 1000 year ring but it is already so amazing, it seems what he estimated before that he could only absorb up to 700 year spirit rings is right because he got the blood ring after the first spirit ring enhanced his physique, which allowed him him to form an older blood ring, if his blood ring formed before he absorbed his first spirit ring, his formed blood ring might only be 700 years of age when it formed.

He activated his first blood ring to test the ability of it, the moment the purple spirit ring appeared, he felt weird because and his head hurt because he can't process all the information that just entered his brain, the only thing he felt is the presence of all the people in the house, he could determine the exact location of the people in the house but he couldn't differentiate them. After only 3 seconds he took back his spirit ring then exhaustedly fell on the bed.

'Xingyun! what happened? Are you okay?', Blacky, who fell off Xingyun's shoulder worriedly asked.

"I'm okay don't worry, I'm just overwhelmed by all the information that came to me", Xingyun comforted Blacky while patting him. "Hey Blacky, since the blood ring technically came from you can you also use the blood ring's abilities?", Xingyun asked what is bugging his mind.

'Yeah! I can also use it's abilities, but I don't need the blood ring to come out to use them', Blacky excitedly told him.

"Really? That's awesome! then I wouldn't need to practice in it much because you can just use it and relay me the information you saw!", even though Xingyun said this, he didn't mean it at all, in his opinion, for a person to be truly strong they have to improve and develop all their capabilities to the extreme so they wouldn't regret anything if they fail because they've done all that they can to get to that point.

'Yeah! Blacky will train hard to improve my skills and help Xingyun better!', what Xingyun said motivated Blacky to train hard and be useful to Xingyun.

"Then I'll leave my back to you in the future", Xingyun said while smiling. Even though he wanted to test his first spirit ring in his second spirit he couldn't because the Clairvoyance skill exhausted him mentally.

After a few more minutes of talking with each other, both of them suddenly looked at the door, as if they are knew that it was gonna open any second now, it even made Xingyun sat up from his bed. He attributed this to his increased intuition, and true to what he felt the door really opened and his mother and sister came in.

"Yun'er! you finally woke up! you slept for 3 whole days! you made us all so worried", his mother, Mao Juan ran up to him and hugged him tighly while saying what happened, while Bao'er followed her and when she saw the little cat she became excited and her eyes is staring excitedly at the cat, as if she wants to come up and pet it.

"Yun gege can I pet your kitty?", Bao'er finally couldn't contain her excitement and asked Xingyun, which made him laugh then pat her on the head.

"His name is Blacky and of course you can pet him, play with him for now I have something to say to mother", when Blacky heard what Xingyun said he didn't become upset because he now regarded her as family, Xingyun's family is also his family, he liked the new family Xingyun now had but he hated his past life's family because he still remembered how they neglected Xingyun and only barely giving him what he needs to live, he felt happy that Xingyun's family in his new life makes him happy.

Bao'er took Blacky to a corner of the room and they played together, while Xingyun and his mother was left alone. "I heard what happened from father-in-law, care to explain?", his mother asked.

"Mother I can say what I know but I want for everyone to be here before I say it"

"Okay I understand wait for me here I'll call everyone to hear what you have to say", She immediately came out after saying it then came back with everyone after a minute. Everyone stood in front of Xingyun while waiting for what he have to say.

"The truth is, I have no idea what happened and I am also quite shocked when the spirit ring suddenly appeared in me, but from what I found when I woke up, my Destiny Cat spirit can perfectly understand what I say, I don't know if he could also understand others but that proves that my spirit is intelligent, and I found out from when I awakened it, that Destiny Cats have a very very strong bloodline, and from all that information I think Destiny Cat spirit's innate ability is giving spirit rings to the spirit master", Xingyun lied and said possible theories for why it formed a spirit ring on its own.

All the adults thought of what he said and felt like it is an acceptable theory. "*sigh* well, all top spirits in the Douluo Continent have special characteristics, what you said is probable, anyway what is it's first spirit ability?", grandpa Mao Chen is excited to know what kind of spirit ability his grandson got, everyone also looked at Xingyun with eyes full of excitement and expectations, which made Xingyun smile.

"Before I show the spirit ability, I have something to show that might surprise you guys", Xingyun said then spread his domain, everyone in the room felt Xingyun's domain and blanked.

"HAHAHA! our Mao clan is blessed! Yun'er what can your domain do?", grandpa Chen became the first to react.

"I can show the future probabilities to anyone that is inside my domain, but right now my control of it is still insufficient to affect you", Xingyun boasted.

"This..Amazing! Yun'er with this domain you can either motivate someone, demotivate someone or worst terrify someone for life!", grandma Huifen, the brain of the clan realized just how terrifying this domain is, depending on how it is used, when everyone heard her analysis they shivered, when they heard from Xingyun what the domain can do they are just slightly amazed by it, but when they heard grandma Li's analysis they also realized the terror of it.

Xingyun then told what his 2 spirit rings abilities are to them, the lightning speed ability satisfied them, their clan is based on speed after all and that ability just fit that criteria to a T! but when they heard what the Clairvoyance ability, they became so shocked because just the ability to sense where enemies are, regardless of whatever hiding method they have is a very very useful and OP ability, and the Clairvoyance ability can even help Xingyun look into either the past or the future, which is just absurd! the possibilities of all it's uses is just so many.

All the adults in the room became numb from all the shocks they experienced, they just couldn't believe that there is such an absurd spirit in the world. After Xingyun boasted to his family, they bonded together for a while then celebrated at dinner, all of Xingyun's favorites is all in one table.
