14 Chapter 14 - Slothful Huo Yuhao
When we finished eating the desserts, Xiao Ya leaned on the chair with a satisfied look.
'What a glutton. To be able to eat all of that within a few minutes...'
"Anyways, where's Bei Bei?"
Xiao Ya glanced at me and shook her shoulders.
"He is still training."
"Oh, is that so? Then, tell him my regards. Also, would you mind telling him to meet in this restaurant after a week?"
Xiao Ya smiled and nodded, "Of course! I'll be sure to tell him that."
"Alright."
I brought my cup of tea and looked around, many people had already swarmed into the restaurant. It seemed that morning classes were over.
"Tang Ya~"
I turned my head to the voice of another girl, Xiao Ya looked up and smiled brilliantly as if she was seeing a friendly face.
"Nannan over here!"
Her silky long golden hair swayed from her movement, and her pale white skin and her delicate voice caught the attention of the nearby men.
"Hey, that's Jiang Nannan!"
"She's so beautiful."
She jumped into the embrace of Xiao Ya, and I glanced at the interaction, with regret.
'Maybe I should've left sooner.'
"Who is that guy sitting next to them?"
"Isn't he the super examinee in the outer court?"
The seniors started to talk about me, with looks of envy.
"Uh? Xiao Ya, who is he?"
"His name is Huo Yuhao, a very strong baddie."
"I can hear you."
I glared at Xiao Ya, who hid herself behind Jiang Nannan.
"I heard a lot about you, nice to meet you, Huo Yuhao."
"Hm. Nice to meet you, Jiang Nannan."
'Wow, I never thought I'd meet one of the several secondary protagonists here.'
She had a spirit similar to Xiao Wu which was the soft-boned rabbit. Her abilities aren't bad but not as good as in comparison to other characters like Bei Bei, Huo Yuhao, Ma Xiaotao, Xu Sanshi, Tang Wutong, and Xiao Xiao.
"May I sit here?"
"You may."
She sat on the chair, and chatted with Xiao Ya for a while before turning her head in my direction, "I've been curious, what's your martial soul?"
"My Martial Soul, why are you so curious about it?"
I asked, since I was sure in the original story, she wasn't that interested in Huo Yuhao except only when he sold his grilled fish.
Jiang Nannan smiled, and said, "I've heard a lot of rumors about how you called your martial soul. But, I thought that it was just an exaggeration."
"It's true in how I named it."
"Uh?" Jiang Nannan glanced at me and Xiao Ya as if she couldn't understand. Xiao Ya replied, "Huo Yuhao doesn't lie. It's a powerful martial soul. There isn't anything like it."
"I'll let you see, how I perceive this world. Brace yourself."
I opened my crimson eyes, and they glowed ominously as several apparitions of the other two eyes appeared from left to right, centered from each of my eyes.
Jiang Nannan felt goosebumps as numerous red eyeballs appeared from all over the world, and soon only darkness was shown with endless amounts of futures connected to many threads of the past below the abyss.
Screens of moving memories from Jiang Nannan, and other people whom she doesn't know or knew about, all appeared as if they were composed in a big picture. Time-space, stars, and gas clouds all flowed like a vacuum, Nannan was unable to comprehend how much information was entering her mind. She felt that she was about to go crazy.
Whenever she kept looking down to the past, the darker it became just like the abyss, and only the crimson eyes appeared staring from below, and when she went too far into the future, it would become too bright like the sun.
When she opened her eyes, sweat poured from her neck and throughout her body.
"Nannan, are you alright?"
Xiao Ya looked worriedly at her, and Nannan could only nod while looking at Huo Yuhao as if he were a monster.
"You'll only barely be able to remember a glimpse of the future, the only memories you'll see are unclear poetry."
Now, that I said it, she couldn't remember what she saw. But, she knew that everything that she had witnessed there, was a big secret that she couldn't fathom.
I closed my eyes and thought about it, this is the reason why it consumes a lot of spiritual energy just to remember a single detail of it. Plus, using the Almighty to change the past is impossible as of now.
The amount of spiritual energy it costs to do so would be astronomical. This was the full essence of my first martial soul, the Almighty. The lesser version of where I used it against in a battle was just the tip of the iceberg.
I finished drinking my tea, and just when I was about to get up. I felt the rough hand of a person holding me down.
"You, what did you do to Nannan?"
Xu Sanshi was glaring at me with furious eyes.
"Xu Sanshi! Stop bothering him."
Jiang Nannan felt irritated and angry after seeing his face, not only that, but he was bothering Huo Yuhao who had just lent her a seat. It was disrespectful.
"Nannan..."
Xu Sanshi grimaced, and when he was about to say something, I sighed.
"Ha..."
I took his hand and brushed it away with a calm demeanor.
"A rude barbarian baring its fangs at me?"
I stood up and glared at him, with an annoyed feeling. Xu Sanshi stepped back and frowned at the bloodthirsty aura, the students around felt breathless.
"Bastard. What the hell are you?"
Xu Sanshi unleashed four of his spirit rings. But, suddenly, the voice of Bei Bei can be heard.
"Stop, you two. If you fight here, you'll cause damages to the store."
"Bei Bei?"
Xu Sanshi glanced in front with Bei Bei standing in between them.
"If you want to settle a dispute, go to the Spirit Battle Arena."
Xu Sanshi regaining his cool, retracted four of his spirit rings and glanced at both Nannan and me.
"Fine by me. You better watch it, freshman. I'll teach you a lesson."
"Hmph."
Xu Sanshi glared at me, and I also left for the Spirit Battle Arena, when I retracted my killing intent, the students stood up and started to rush outside to observe the battle.
"Hey, that was Huo Yuhao right?"
"I couldn't even breathe. Is that how strong the examinee who defeated an instructor was? He didn't even unleash his spirit ring!"
"This is going to be an exciting battle!"
"Bei Bei!"
Jiang Nannan approached him and asked worriedly.
"Is Huo Yuhao going to be fine? Xu Sanshi is still 3 spirit rings above him."
"Nannan, you don't have to worry. You should worry about Xu Sanshi instead."
Xiao Ya hugged Bei Bei and glanced at Bei Bei after stating that bombshell.
"Xiao Ya?" Nannan tilted her head.
Bei Bei smiled bitterly, and replied, "He defeated me in less than a minute. Huo Yuhao will be fine."
"Uh?" Jiang Nannan couldn't believe what she just heard.
"You'll see in the Spirit Battle Arena."

"I bet on the super examinee!"
"Nah, I'd win. Xu Sanshi has more spirit rings! He is likely going to win the battle."
Surprisingly, a large amount of crowd gathered around the Spirit Battle Arena, and even the teachers of different classes observed curiously.
"Captain Xuan Lao. Who do you think is going to win?"
Xuan Lao sat on the top seat and drank the wine bag like a thirsty old man in a desert.
"It's hard to tell. I don't know much about how capable that arrogant child is, but he didn't use all of his strength in his fight against the examinee instructor. Xu Sanshi has a strong martial soul. He won't go down easily."
Yan Shaozhe caressed his beard and glanced at Qian Duo Duo, who was staring intently at the arena.
"How about you Qian Duo Duo, who are you going to bet?"
"Hmph! Since you're already betting on Huo Yuhao. I'll bet for Xu Sanshi instead."
At the corner, Wang Yan who had followed Xuan Lao was regretting it, seeing that there were so many influential figures of the core court staying in one place.
"The Captain of the Shrek Seven Monsters, Dean, and even the Vice Dean are here?" Wang Yan opened his mouth in disbelief.
Just how influential was Huo Yuhao?
Wang Yan gulped his saliva and continued to stare at the two figures standing faced at each other.
Xu Sanshi smashed both of his fists, causing a loud sound to echo, and stomped on the floor while looking down at me, with a mocking look.
"Hmph. I don't know how exaggerated the rumors are, but you're already acting arrogant just because you defeated an instructor? I'll teach you a lesson, junior! I'll prove to you that you should respect your seniors!"
I stood still and closed my eyes while waiting for the fight to start.
"Bastard! Are you listening to me?!"
Xu Sanshi was pointing his finger at me with a heated face as if he was about to rush to fight.
A spirit master with a spirit rank of 80, floated above and landed in between us.
"I will be the referee for this duel, if the fight becomes too dangerous or when the opponent is about to initiate a life-threatening attack, I will stop the duel.
"The rules are simple; you are not allowed to kill your opponent, and you will only lose if you concede or if your condition is unable to continue battling! Are you two ready?"
I nodded, and Xu Sanshi shouted, "Yes!"
"What an idiot."
"The hell did you say?! Urgh!"
Xu Sanshi was held back by the dumbfounded referee.
We stood several meters away from each other, and when the referee was about to count 3. I snapped my finger, and a golden throne appeared behind me. I sat on it and closed my eyes as if I was too lazy.

'What?' I was perplexed. I didn't expect this development.
I was honestly feeling bored, and it seemed that my wrath stopped growing at some point, I glanced at the system status while ignoring the bewildered people from the surroundings.

I felt my mind refreshed, almost as if the cloudy memory was becoming less burdensome as I grew stronger mentally.

I leaned on the throne with a relaxed yet prideful posture with crossed legs. I kept hearing muffled voices from my front, with Xu Sanshi spitting profanities, which I did not care about.
'Somehow, Xu Sanshi has helped me to grow stronger.'
"Somehow, this bug was at least helpful."
And, it seemed that my inner thoughts remained hidden, and my outer voice was amplified.
"You f******!!!"
Xu Sanshi rushed towards me, with the referee facepalming while giving up on counting the 3 to 1-go.
When Xu Sanshi reached 30 meters close to me. I snapped my finger and used the Godhand power, as darkness started to emit from my body.
I didn't need to be worried anymore about being misunderstood since Xuan Lao and the others were here watching. I raised my hand to the sky.
Xu Sanshi looked up in horror as hundreds of darkened weapons appeared floating from the sky with a black muddy portal supporting its transportation.
Swords, maces, spears, hammers, etc.
I held my chin with my left hand before pushing my right hand which was raised to the sky towards Xu Sanshi, causing a few weapons to fly off in his direction.
Mystic Deep Turtle!
When the rapid attack hit the shield, it only caused Xu Sanshi to slide back by several meters. The force of the explosive darkness, caused him to be lifted from the ground.
"Damn sh**, what kind of martial soul is that?"
Xu Sanshi cursed, as the dust unveiled to him, the portals and weapons continued to grow due to the fast recovery speed of my spirit energy. Xu Sanshi can only stare in horror at the increasing number of dark portals that almost numbered a thousand in the sky.
"What a monster..."
