123 Chapter 122: Shrek Academy

The bright sun's light from the blue sky pierced through inside the glass window of the soul train.

Xiu Ye looked out of the window, his face displaying only a focused expression. Even when Tang Wulin and Xu Lizhi sitting in the seats besides him to the left, with the latter sitting on the other side of the former; talking excitedly about the meals and other food they'll find in the place they were going to, a topic he was interested in as well, he stayed quiet.

He was just that excited about the place they were going to.

They were in a soul train that was headed towards a certain location, Shrek City, the location where the legendary number one academy in the continent was located at: Shrek Academy. This train is the private property of Shrek Academy that can go across every big city in the continent–called the Infinity Train, only accessible by only teachers of said academy.

The soul train is of the latest model of trains that can go as fast as Mach 5 at max and is also installed with special devices that can withstand a full attack by a Soul Douluo. And right now, Xiu Ye, his friends and Wu Zhangkong, and the Shrek students and Shen Yi were the only passengers in it.

Apparently, after what they had done in Skysea City by taking down the undead and the Holy Spirit Cult members, they were given special summons into Shrek Academy's inner court: where they would be rewarded for their heroism by not only the Sea God Pavilion members, but the representatives of Federation, Tang Sect and Spirit Pagoda as well to give them their respective rewards.

Some of the most powerful people in the world was going to be there, especially the number one strongest Human Soul Master: Yun Ming, as known as the Sea God Pavilion Master of Shrek Academy, to give them their rewards personally.

Expectedly, most of Xiu Ye's friends were nervous at the award ceremony; they were going to be meeting such powerful people after all, and that wasn't even counting the audience that was watching. The familiar long silver haired girl, wearing a white sundress and pink shoes, with a gentle smile on her face appeared in Xiu Ye's window.

'Its been more than a year now, you little rascal. I hope you're doing well, and that you apologize for not saying a proper goodbye in front of me when we meet.' The light in Xiu Ye's eyes turned a little sad and wet.

"Ye, you alright?" He was snapped out of his dazed state by Tang Wulin, who's lightly shaking his shoulder with his hand, looking concerned. "Hey, don't tell me you getting ready to bail on us now. Because if you are, I call dibs on your reward." A playful grin formed from his lips.

Xiu Ye blinked his eyes and let out a short laugh. "Nah. I'm not thinking of bailing on the ceremony or anything

"Hmm." Tang Wulin hummed and asked. "Hey, what do you think our reward would be?"

"Oh! I hope it'd be an all-you-can-eat buffet that would be prepared by the most famous and skilled five-star chefs in the world." Xu Lizhi started salivating with a far away look in his eyes.

"Nah!" Xie Xie, popping out on top of their seats with a excited grin in his face, said. "It'd probably be money, loads of money! We'd probably be given a trillion soul coins!"

Tang Wulin turned towards Xie Xie with sparkling widened eyes. "Really?!"

He shrugged, "Most probably."

"Haa," A sigh was heard from Gu Yue, who was seating on the seats in front of Xiu Ye. "as much as I hate to agree with the idiot, but thinking about other potential rewards we'd get, his idea is.... more likely to be it. Ugh, just saying that just makes me shiver."

"Hey, big sis!" Laughter ensued from the others as they listened to the two bicker.

Xiu Ye shook his head. 'They've been through a lot in just a couple of weeks, things that can make a weak man break, and they're already joking around like this. I would want to say they're great for standing back up so quickly and not getting weigh down by the pressure of taking a life, undead or otherwise....'

He look at them for a moment.

'Yeeeaaah. I should probably get them therapy, this ain't normal.'

"Hey demon Ye," Xu Xiaoyan's cute little head popped up from Gu Yue's side of the seats. After being trained by him for so long in the space-time training Battle Hall room with a hellish regime, which still gives her nightmares every night, she'd taken into calling him master Ye or demon Ye; though she usually calls him the latter. "what do you really think our rewards would be?"

Xiu Ye crossed his arms and closed his eyes.

Honestly, he didn't know what kind of rewards they were about to be given but since they had done a lot in the war for Skysea City, especially him, their rewards couldn't possibly be small. The best he could think of right now was something at the level of a ten thousand year old soul bone or possibly even at the hundred thousand, each given to them! Though it was just a guess.

'Though it could be something like granting one request, a wish, for each of us. Hmm.'

"Honestly, I don't know. But it could be something that can equal a billion soul coins like Xie Xie said." He replied, shrugging his shoulders. Xu Xiaoyan pouted.

"You won't even guess?"

"So what? I can guess all I want but we'll get our answer soon when we reach Shrek Academy, so guessing is just a waste a time."

Her cheeks puffed up even more, making her look like a chipmunk.

Xiu Ye laughed and couldn't help but pinched and stretch her cheeks.

"Aaah! Downt pull ma cheekz!"

Suddenly, the train slowed down until finally stopping.

Xiu Ye, Xu Xiaoyan and everyone else in the train stopped at whatever they were doing and instead looked out towards their windows.

Instead of the outside green land or tall steel buildings, they were inside a train subway tunnel. But what caught their attention were two things.

One was the small tunnel across that had several steps leading up, and up on the wall of the tunnel was a sigh that said, "Shrek Academy". It looks like Infinity Train was designed to directly enter the academy through a hidden tunnel.

But the last one was what really caught their eyes, a large gigantic tree that reached as high as the heavens!

The Ancient Tree of Life.

Shen Yi's kind voice whispered out words that everyone clearly heard,

"Welcome, to Shrek Academy."

Finally, they have arrived at Shrek Academy.

In the sandy lakeshore where the Ancient Tree of Life was, a silver haired girl could be seen walking by. Her little bare feet leaving footprints in the sand as she walked.

Suddenly, she stopped. Her normally blank expression shifted into a confused frown. She turned her head towards the outer court of the academy.

"....Big brother Ye?" Her silver colored eyes, glistening under the light of the sun, as they widened in shock.
