33 Chapter 33: So talented that it made him anemic?

Cen Yue and the surveyor looked at the palm size black egg shaped metal on the forging table. Lightning crackling around it once in a while.

The surveyor, intense emotions of dumbfoundment, shock, confusion and so on flashed across her face. But with several years of experience in the blacksmithing, she calmed down. Taking a deep breath, she pushed up her glasses and examined the metal.

"...F-First Grade Thousand Refinements, Crimson Iron, with lightning attribute assigned to it that makes this product's quality skyrocket by a hundred percent. Purity is of the highest degree as well. Vibrant life force could be felt from it." She pauses and turns towards Cen Yue with a serious expression.

"There's just no doubt grandmaster, this boy here is a fourth rank blacksmith. Probably one of the best ones I've ever seen, especially since he finished this within ten minutes!" Her lips twitched.

A nine year old boy that could do grade two Thousand Refinements within thirty minutes, and a more genius boy, at the same age, that could do the most highest quality grade one Thousand Refinements within ten minutes... She just wants to lay down after this is all over.

Master craftsmen would be able to forged these types of metals, only when they done hours of work on them and have luck on the Crimson Iron. That metal is one of the most hardest metals to melt due to their high heat resistance.

And yet, a nine year old boy...

She can't handle too many shocks within one day.

Cen Yue nodded in agreement, he broke into a bitter smile. "Mang Tian did this on purpose."

The surveyor wasn't even shock upon hearing Cen Yue's remarks. "These kids, they're disciples of Mang Tian?"

Cen Yue nodded his head. "Not only that, but Xiu Ye here is his son."

"Adopted." Xiu Ye said.

The surveyor pinched the bridge of her nose. "They're his disciples and the most talented one is his adopted son... Even for him, I just can't believe it." And it wasn't because the two boys didn't have the qualifications to be under the man's teachings, it was the opposite.

These two were blacksmith geniuses that no normal blacksmith should have the qualifications to teach them, unless they're a Saint Craftsman or the Divine Craftsman himself.

Cen Yue twitched his lips and let out a sigh. "They don't need to forge these metals into any type of components for further testing, Xiu Ye, Tang Wulin, you both are now officially rank 4 and 3 blacksmiths respectively."

Xiu Ye and Tang Wulin, both by the side, gave each other a fist bump.

Cen Yue smiled and clapped his hands. " On that note, would you two like for us to purchase these metals off your hands?"

Tang Wulin widened his eyes and immediately agreed, "Yes!" while Xiu Ye looked thoughtful for a moment and asked.

"Grandmaster Cen Yue, how much can I get with mine?"

Cen Yue said without any hesitation. "Since these metals was provided for free from us, as it is for every first test takers, we wouldn't tax any of you. For Tang Wulin's Heavy Silver, it would be 230,000 federation coins. While yours, the Crimson Iron, you would get 760,000 federation coins."

Tang Wulin dropped his jaw in shock at the astronomical coins they were given while Xiu Ye acted cool, he had millions in his bank account after all.

Xiu Ye nodded. "Okay then, can I request something? Instead of money, I want something else that equals to that price."

Cen Yue and the surveyor raised their eyebrows in surprise and disbelief respectively. The former was surprise at the sudden request, he expected the boy to jump for the cash, while the latter was in disbelief at the straightforward act of a nine year old requesting something else than money from the grandmaster.

"Oh really? Well then, if you say that the thing you wanted equals to the price I'm giving you then, say your request."

Xiu Ye grinned.

....

"Broooo... I can't believe you turn that money down." Tang Wulin said to Xiu Ye with a sour face.

Xiu Ye rolled his eyes. "It was my money anyway. Why are you acting as if it was your money that got wasted?"

Tang Wulin choked on air. "I-I know but, goddammit! That was just a lot of money!"

Xiu Ye smiled, and shook his head in amusement as he and Tang Wulin walked out of the Blacksmith Association and headed back towards the academy.

Cen Yue had informed him, prior to their exit, to report back again to the Blacksmith Association in two-days time to receive their blacksmith's badges, and to start receiving jobs from the Association.

....

In the fifteenth floor of the Blacksmith Association.

"I really hadn't thought that the kid's request was going to be..." Cen Yue shook his head around as he held up his soul communicator in hand, trying to communicate someone for the last ten minutes.

"Mang Tian!" The call to his old acquaintance finally got through.

"What's up?" Mang Tian's voice was just as indifferent as the time they last spoke.

"Where in the hell did you find yourself such monsters?" Cen Yue spoke into his device impatiently.

Mang Tian replied plainly. "What are you talking about?"

"Who else do you think I am referring to? Your nine-year-old, third and four rank disciples! Goddammit, I almost had a heart attack when I saw them fucking did Thousand Refinements! And it wasn't any normal Thousand Refinements you motherfucker! They were second and first grades at the highest quality!"

"Especially that last one, holy shit, no wonder you adopted the kid."

"Hey, can you say something?"

Cen Yue was not pleased with the lack of response he got from Mang Tian.

"I have nothing to say. That child, Tang Wulin, was born with innate divine strength and he has a diligent character. My son, Xiu Ye, was born with all-round talents out of this world and is a good person. That's all." Mang Tian still spoke plainly.

Cen Yue snapped back at Mang Tian's explanation. "What the fuck kind of half-assed explanation is that?! In the end, your intention to show off their abilities?"

"Yes!" Mang Tian acknowledged his true intention.

"You... Speak, what are your conditions for you to give those children to me? Since you will be at that isolated Glorybound City most of the time, do you even have the time to guide your disciples? They would be better off if you let them come with me. I will guide them carefully if you trust me."

"...Tang Wulin will never leave me if I myself don't give him permission, and I won't give you that permission unless senior Mu Chen himself will take him in."

Cen Yue widened his eyes at such an answer then narrowed his eyes and let out a sigh. "I will have to speak to him about it later on if his interested, which, he would certainly would."

Thinking more on the matter at hand, although he would be a better teacher for the boys than Mang Tian, what with the resources he has in hand. But there was another one who's more qualified and he was the president of the Eastsea City's Blacksmith Association, Mu Chen!

"Wait a minute, you only just talked about Tang Wulin. What about your son, Xiu Ye?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Cen Yue could practically see the 'are you serious' look Mang Tian was giving him while they're communicating.

Cen Yue's eyebrows twitched.

Mang Tian let out a long deep sigh. "Truth be told, if you weren't going to call me right now I would have marched towards the Blacksmith Association and asked senior Mu to take him in."

"Oh, is it because you could no longer able to teach any other blacksmithing skills?" Cen Yue teased.

"Yes, and because I couldn't handle losing any more blood from the numerous vomits of envy and jealously I get from watching Xiu Ye's heavenly blacksmith talents."

"..." Cen Yue stared at his soul communicator incredulously.

'What...?'

"Mang Tian, what the fuck do you mean that you're losing too much blood from..." Cen Yue trailed off, as the further he said it made it harder for him to understand of what he had heard from his old friend.

Mang Tian let out a deep sigh. "I'm anemic now Cen Yue, I've been anemic for two years. My son's talent in blacksmithing is just so out of this world that it's unfair. I've been blacksmithing for years now Cen Yue, imagine, seeing someone else, someone so much younger than you, and he's a much better blacksmith."

"..." Cen Yue was silent, imagining the scenario Mang Tian had given him.

His lips twitched. Fuck, he's right.

"Get it? Now forget about being his teacher and get senior Mu or more preferably senior Zhu. I'm hanging up!"

Beep!

"...." Cen Yue held onto his soul communicator, a blank look on his face.

"Teacher, were you looking for me?" At that very moment, a youngster in his twenties walked into Cen Yue's room.

"Mmm, disciple, what blacksmith rank are you at? How many years have you been under me? You can't do Thousand Refinements yet? Okay, that's fine..." The youngster stared at a loss at Cen Yue, who was looking emotionless. What happened to his teacher? He's normally not this absent minded.

Xiu Ye was, however, clueless of the impact his outstanding ability had on the others, and he and Tang Wulin were on their way back to the academy.

They headed to each other's dorms and fell asleep.

The next day, the school's opening ceremony started.
