Xiu Ye whistled as Gu Yue stared in shock at Tang Wulin managing to kill a ghoul with a Soul King cultivation base while also wearing a Battle Armor!
The two were standing at the entrance of the clothing store, having recently arrived, where they witnessed Tang Wulin releasing a dark-red malevolent energy fog around him and covered two spears to kill the armored ghoul before he collapsed on the ground from exhaustion.
Gu Yue twitched her lips, "Well, that's to be expected. You guys are related after all."
"Adopted." Xiu Ye said without thinking and blinked his eyes. Wait, Tang Wulin was also adopted so...
She turned towards him with a deadpanned look, "You're capable of insta-killing a Soul Emperor, who's wearing a Two-word Battle Armor, while being a Soul Ancestor without using your martial soul. In which I also feel like you can also do it to a Soul Sage. While he's capable of killing a Soul King wearing a Two-word Battle Armor, although by luck, by using a domain class ability while being a Soul Grandmaster with a trash martial soul."
"If I didn't clearly know that you two don't exactly look alike and share no blood, the feats of you two pulling out miracles straight of yours asses would have convinced me and anyone enough that you two are related!" She put her palm on her face and massaged her temples.
Xiu Ye rolled his eyes and roughly patted her head, ruining her hair, which made her glare angrily at him, "Come on, let's go and retrieve Wulin before any undead strays or evil soul masters comes swooping in to kidnap him. Or the ghoul somehow regenerates and come back to life."
"Hmph." Gu Yue harrumphed and punched the side of Xiu Ye's left shoulder, though it didn't do any damage to him, and she run to retrieve Tang Wulin.
"Jerk!" Though she said that last bit before she went.
Xiu Ye chuckled as he watch Gu Yue lift Tang Wulin up with his arm around her shoulder.
'Of all the things he'd awakened, I never thought it would be Deathgod's Domain, though incomplete. I really thought it would have been Blue Silver Domain but thinking about it more, it was really more likely for him to awakened the Deathgod's Domain.'
'He unlocked four seals of the Golden Dragon King Bloodline Seals; the bloodline that can cause the user madness and seek destruction. He also has extreme hatred for the evil soul masters and the undead, plus with all the death around the city, its no wonder that Wulin was able to awakened a incomplete version of the Deathgod's Domain.'
His eyes then went towards the three swords with red handles embedded on the ground behind the probably dead ghoul.
Black Keys. A sacrament of the Church, one of their many charms used against demons and vampires. In an era said to be when Vampires were the most rampant, turning them back into corpses and reverting them to dust was the Holy Church's mission. But in that era, there was no high-firepower weapon capable of eradicating a Vampire's body in a single strike. The most effective measure was shutting them into a building or forest, setting it aflame, and burning it until their blood was used up. However, the Church would bankrupt itself by doing this each and every time.
At the time, someone hailed as the pinnacle of swordsmen whilst also a priest proposed a weapon that was "mass-producible, easy to transport, with immediate effectivity that kept casualties to a minimum". This was the Scriptural Weapons, of which the Black Key was the first to be created.
As Keys of Providence, they are able to call forth the original laws of nature vampires were subject to as humans, thus preventing them through purification from healing the wounds made with this weapon. Emphasized on the ability to intervene spiritually against "evil", they focus less on physical attack power, even affecting powerful spirits to some degree should they be struck. It is not enough to inflict any sort of fatal injury to them no matter how much energy is put into them, but they can be used to distract or pin them for a brief moment under the right circumstances.
This was the trump card Xiu Ye had given the members of Tang Sect to effectively fight against the undead and evil soul masters, which is how and why he was given free reign to do whatever he wants. He forged the Black Keys during the time inside the time chamber of Battle Hall when he trained his friends.
During that time, he managed to forged enough Black Keys to armed the Battle Hall agents of Tang Sect and his friends.
He could trace them but the amount of soul power needed to trace that many of Black Keys would be impossible, much less keeping them from vanishing for more than twenty four hours at best.
Gu Yue was just dragging Tang Wulin towards him when he widened his eyes. His smile slowly fell. His expression soon turned cold as his golden piercing eyes glanced over his shoulder.
'Gu Yue, teleport both you and Wulin out of here now!' Gu Yue flinched and widened her eyes at the sudden intrusion of Xiu Ye's voice in her head.
Although she didn't know what was going on to make Xiu Ye sound so serious, she trusted him. She nodded her head towards him with a grim expression before she and Tang Wulin disappeared in motes of silver light.
Xiu Ye inwardly sighed in relief before a burst of intense heat rose sharply around him, as wisps of crimson flames covered his body.
The temperature around him rose so high that flames started bursting out of the ground and spread everywhere, and a nearby thermometer broke and all the metal things around him started melting.
"I know your there hiding like a little fucking rat, waiting for the opportunity to kill me and retrieve your comrade's corpse to revive him." Xiu Ye spoke with a cold tone of voice that was like a frozen tundra, opposite to the flames aroun him. "Well you can forget it. Since you're already here, then you can forget leaving with your undead life."
With a snap of his fingers, the entire clothing store building burst into a sea of red fiery flames; turning it and everything inside it into ashes.
There was large crack sound as a woman wearing black clothes, in her forties, appeared behind Xiu Ye. She has long black hair tied into a ponytail with strands of grey hair, brown pair of eyes, she has an average face fixed in a permanent scowl. The most peculiar part about her, was the dark green scales all around her left arm and sharp talon-like left hand, covered in a purple light, that was about to tear the head of Xiu Ye out of his body.
Her name was Qiu Ling. A peak Soul King and one of the seven ghoul generals, and one of the two only female generals. Her martial soul is the Green Dragon, a dragon known for its powerful jade scales body and wind control.
Similar to Xian Long, she was tasked to kidnap a group of children and bring them to their leader.
But there was an order given to them specifically by their goddess: to bring the corpse of a child called Xiu Ye; who has short red hair, golden pair of eyes and is said to be the leader of the group of children their leader wanted to kidnapped.
Seeing a kid with such features here, with the headless body of one of her fellow generals, who looked to have died by that black haired and cute looking kid, shockingly, Qiu Ling made a decision and... attacked him.
It was a mistake.
'No wonder the goddess wants him dead...' Qiu Ling stared wide-eyed, as a long blade covered in flames was in front of her face.
"Reduce All Creation to Ash, Ryūjin Jakka!"
Everything in the world has a natural order, and one of them is the predator and prey system.

And the boy in front of her, was an apex predator. One who stood above all.
'He's a monster. I–'
That was what Qiu Ling last thought before she was burnt into ashes by a single swing of Xiu Ye's sword; Ryūjin Jakka, along with the street and various buildings where she stood.
Xiu Ye coldly stared at the pile of ashes still burning and muttered, "May you rest in peace."
An entire five kilometer area around him burned with a fire bright and deadly as the sun.

In a luxurious hotel room, a young woman with twin tailed red hair sat crosslegged on a king-sized bed. Her eyes closed and hands in a prayer position, trails of red energy gathered around her.
She opened her eyes, revealing a pair of blood red eyes that glowed ominously, and smirked.
"The requirements are almost complete. Soon, I shall breakthrough and the door to that realm will be opened." Her eyes flashed a glint of malice.
"And everyone in this city, including that little bastard, will all die. All in the name of the Nine Heavenly Demon Monarchs!"
