Best... Demotion?

"Divine Smith?" Wulin asked her, curious about where her confidence came from. He was confident he would become a divine smith however he wanted to know where her own sense of confidence came from.

"The main problem of a divine smith is the Heavenly Tribulation but that won't be hard for our school's Demon of Destruction right?" Mu Xi asked, a confident and playful smile on her beautiful face though he found Gu Yuena's much prettier.

The Demon of Destruction was a monster who was not only rank 27 at the age of nine but also had the body of a Spirit King. The students later discovered that he had the Golden Dragon martial soul but the nickname was already stuck to him so it hadn't changed.

"I thought you didn't know about us." Gu Yuena asked lightly, a disappointed frown on her face. She was planning on using that for an epic reveal that would entertain her greatly. It would be a fitting punishment for the person who stole her time with her other half.

"I didn't recognize you at first but I figured it out." Mu Xi said awkwardly. She didn't recognize the two most famous people in their school despite being so close to them. She heard about them practically every day since once a week or so the school would shake but would be completely normal when the students arrived.

The school assumed it was the battle between the two in front of her so it was impossible for her not to know about them. She had never been interested in them before today since she thought the rumors were exaggerated but she was confident that it wasn't true after seeing them in person

"You can only have one teacher." Wulin cautioned her. She was betting on him and while he knew it would succeed, she didn't. Using that, he wanted to test her resolve to train under him and then make his decision.

Right now, her father was the better blacksmith and since Mu Chen was the junior of the current Divine Smith she could even become his student, she has no reason to bet on him. But that's why he's willing to listen to it.

She was throwing away a surefire way to reach success to bet on him. It was interesting and the amount of courage to throw all that way was astronomical. He wanted to see how confident she was in him and why. He had only Thousand Refined in front of her.

"I know that. But that doesn't mean others can't give me pointers." Mu Xi said confidently, a smirk on her face. Even if she became Wulin's disciple she could ask for teachings from her father and even Zhen Hua due to their relationship. She wouldn't be losing out.

"I see. I accept." Wulin agreed without hesitation, a small curling of his lips showing his amusement. She wasn't attempting to stick to his leg to reach fame nor was she throwing away her future, she was merely gaining another source of knowledge.

She had clearly told him that she would be using him while begging to be his student. That level of courage and dedication to growing as a smith was more than enough to warrant Wulin to teach her.

"Thank you!" Mu Xi thanked him sincerely, rising from her bowing position immediately. Now she had two Divine Smiths and a Saint ranked smith that could teach her. She wouldn't be able to match up to her official teacher but she was fine with just being a Divine Smith herself.

"Congratulations~!" Gu Yuena clapped slowly, a sincere smile hiding all her inner plans. She was planning out how to add Mu Xi to their class 0 but what better way was there than using their new teacher-student relationship?

"Thank you?" Mu Xi replied somewhat awkwardly, a cold sweat appearing on her neck and horrible premonition attacking her mind as she took a step back. For some reason that sincere and beautiful smile felt incomparably malicious.

"Then since you're his student now how do you feel about joining our class 0?" Gu Yuena offered, her 'sincere' smile still present on her face. She didn't like beating around the bush so she just asked their newest member.

"Class 0?" Mu Xi repeated in confusion, she had never heard about such a program in their school. Then again, she was so focused on blacksmithing that it wouldn't be surprising if she never heard of it.

"It's a group of students that the school will put all their resources into cultivating in return for attending Shrek in the future." Gu Yuena explained quickly. The benefits of their class were numerous and expansive.

"Really? Why haven't I heard about it then?" Mu Xi asked in confusion. She was the most talented student in the grade yet she wasn't even offered a position in it? Either they made a mistake or Gu Yuena was hiding something from her.

"It's a program for freshmen, but! Our teacher could definitely add you!" Gu Yuena explained hurriedly once she saw Mu Xi's doubtful look. She was already in the advanced academy, she was well above that grade so it would be an embarrassment.

"Who's your teacher?" Mu Xi asked seriously, a doubtful frown on her face. If the teacher was bad not only would she not be added but it wouldn't be worth it either. A teacher was a large part of the student's growth after all!

"Wu Zhangkong. He's a peak Spirit Emperor so he'll be able to teach us well." Gu Yuena explained, keeping that part of their teacher being a high level member of the Tang Sect and a former Shrek student secret since he told them not to tell it freely.

"The school will pay for all your blacksmithing supplies." Tang Wulin intervened seeing Mu Xi's doubtful look. Blacksmithing materials were extremely expensive and if she didn't need to pay for them anymore that'd be amazing!

"I agree!" Mu Xi agreed immediately! She's been struggling since her dad lowered her budget!
