Chapter 73: Uninvited Guest

"Alright, lemme just..." Huo Yuhao muttered as he fired up the large smithing furnace before him, executing handseals in a split second, his soul power surged in his body and he spew out extremely hot, white flames into the furnace. The flames roared and burned the coal inside, intense heat radiated out of it.

"Good, this much heat should be enough to melt through the ores and the soul bone." Huo Yuhao muttered as he carefully monitored the temperature and the state of the materials, adjusting the flames and controlling the heat with precision.

The soul bone weapon creation technique wasn't a simple technique that any soul engineer could do, with only rank 7 and above Soul Engineers would have the qualifications of doing so, since they have the power, skill and wealth to do it. Forget about the materials in order to reforge the soul bone into a functioning weapon, just getting one is extremely expensive to the point of being priceless. They can't rely on stores and auctions, even the black market, so the soul engineer normally has to get it by themselves or by their trusted allies.

But Huo Yuhao was different. Not only did he luckily get a soul bone, but his knowledge and skills as a soul engineer is currently at the level of a rank 6 Soul Engineer. What? Did you really think that he wasted weeks just on raiding Ironblood Sect operations, guiding Tang Ya and renovating the villa? Please, he wanted a break but that doesn't mean he'll be idle.

Heck, he was even using Shadow Clone Jutsu at this moment, three clones including the one still active at Shrek Academy, and he delegated the two clones for other important tasks around the villa.

"Elder Electrolux, what's the status of the leyline?" Huo Yuhao asked as he checked his materials; Heavy Silver, Silverstar Steel, Blue Coppertite, Heart Chilling Iron, Chilling Amethyst Essence, etc. These are rare and expensive metals that are used for making shield and/or armor type soul tools as they were dense, easy soul power circulation in its soul arrays and amplifying the user's soul power, and some of the other materials would increase his water and ice power.

Although having a shield or armor type soul bone weapon would useful, but as of right Huo Yuhao wasn't confident he could make a shield or armor that last more than five uses, and that's already incredible. Defense type soul tools are quite in demand, as it can save someone else's life with the right timing but they're known to have a limited amount of uses or a limit on how much damage it could withstand.

Of course having armor type soul tools would be the next and best thing to have, as it can increase the user's overall abilities and especially defense, but research on armor soul tools in Shrek Academy is quite... limited to say the least. The designs and blueprints were mostly bulky and heavy to move with, which didn't fit Huo Yuhao's agile and quick combat style. So, he decided to focus on creating a weapon that could complement his current skills and capabilities.

The flaming grey ball of light in his spiritual sea lit up and replied with his ancient aged voice, "I can sense the leyline is stable and vibrant. The flow of soul power and elemental energy is smooth and powerful, which should greatly enhance the forging process and the quality of the final product."

Huo Yuhao nodded in satisfaction. The leyline was an important factor in the creation of the soul bone weapon.

As mentioned, only those rank 7 Soul Engineers had the qualifications for creating a soul bone weapon, because it needed the immense soul power of a Soul Sage to inscribe the thousands of soul arrays into each of the materials and then into the soul bone.

Of course being a Soul Elder he was so far off from even making ten working advanced soul arrays, so he needed some help. He had initially planned to use some herbs and pills that temporarily increases his soul power, which comes with a lot of side effects, but fortunately there was a leyline in the villa.

It was an artificial leyline that the Evil Soul Master had created back when he was alive and had used to keep the spirits trapped.

With the leyline's stability confirmed, Huo Yuhao focused on his task. He began by meticulously preparing the materials, carefully measuring and cutting them to the required specifications. As he worked, he couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. Creating a soul bone weapon was a rare and challenging endeavor, but Huo Yuhao was determined to succeed.

Once the materials were ready, Huo Yuhao placed them into the furnace, carefully arranging them according to the soul bone weapon's design he made. He then activated his soul power once again, channeling it into the furnace and controlling the flames with precision.

The intense heat from the flames caused the materials to slowly melt and fuse together. Huo Yuhao watched closely, making sure that the temperature remained constant and that the materials were melting evenly. He adjusted the flames when necessary, using his soul power to maintain the ideal conditions for forging.

"Good, now, the Snow Deer King's soul bone." Huo Yuhao muttered as he turned towards the tube and retrieved it out of its tube, the entire room's temperature dropped and the heat from the furnace withdrew as soon as he took it out.

Huo Yuhao smirked, looking down at the beautiful blue crystal antlers of the Snow Deer King, as expected of the ten thousand year soul bone, just its aura alone could send chills down anyone's spine. He carefully inspected the soul bone, making sure it was in perfect condition before placing it into the furnace.

He wasn't going to lie, he was incredibly tempted to just scrap this whole thing with how difficult it was and just absorbed it but after looking into the soul bone's abilities it would grant him, Huo Yuhao was even more determined to forge it into a weapon.

He found out that if he absorbed it, it would only amplify his Snow Dream skill's power by 25% and grant him some snow skills for hiding. It wasn't bad but the effects would only work when the antlers appear on his head, which are not small and would become targets for his face.

Huo Yuhao also thought he could use it to ram his antlers at his enemies, which is hilarious, but the antlers are fragile than normal soul bones.

So yeah, his decision to forging it into a soul bone soul tool was the right one.

As the soul bone entered the furnace, the temperature spiked once again. The flames roared and danced around the soul bone, it let out a burst of ice and snow for a brief moment but Huo Yuhao quickly increased the heat to fight it off.

Not only after, it soon melted down and he was incorporating its essence into the other materials.

Huo Yuhao's eyes lit up as he muttered, "Good, it's going well enough."

Time seemed to pass slowly as Huo Yuhao focused solely on his task. He could feel the power of the leyline surging through him, enhancing his soul power and allowing him to work with greater precision and efficiency.

After what felt like hours, the materials and the soul bone finally reached the desired state. Huo Yuhao carefully removed them from the furnace, using special tongs to handle the hot metal. He then began the process of shaping and molding the molten metal into the desired form.

Using a inscription knife, Huo Yuhao meticulously carved and engraved intricate patterns into the metal, carefully infusing each stroke with his soul power. As he worked, he could feel the weapon taking shape, its power and essence resonating with his own soul.

"C'mon, I had spent countless hours studying and simulating this technique countless times. I can't, no, I will not fail!"

With each stroke of his knife and other specialized tools, Huo Yuhao poured his skills and knowledge as a soul engineer into the creation of the weapon. He knew that every detail mattered, every curve and line of soul arrays inscribed into it had the potential to enhance or diminish the weapon's effectiveness.

Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, Huo Yuhao placed the finished weapon into a cooling chamber, allowing it to slowly cool down and solidify. He watched with a mix of excitement and apprehension, eager to see the final result of his hard work.

As the weapon cooled, its form became more defined and its power seemed to radiate from within. Huo Yuhao carefully inspected it, making sure that there were no flaws or imperfections. Satisfied with his creation, he smiled in triumph and relief.

"Finally, I... did it! I fucking did it!!" Huo Yuhao exclaimed and started laughing.

It was a beautiful crystal sword, in blue and white in color and was 4ft long, the handle and the blade wasn't connected but rather emitted a faint blue light that connected them. The blade itself was sharp and translucent, resembling solid ice. The hilt was carved with intricate patterns that seemed to shimmer with a hint of frost. It was a weapon that perfectly matched his ice elemental powers.

Huo Yuhao couldn't help but feel a surge of pride and accomplishment as he easily held the 1,000kg weapon in his hands. He could sense its power and potential, its ability to amplify his own soul power and control over ice and grant him snow powers that was at the same level as Ma Xiaotao's fire. It was a weapon that would greatly enhance his combat abilities and give him an edge in battles. Moreover, he could tell it could grow even stronger in the future!

"I... I did it," Huo Yuhao calmed down, his voice filled with awe. "I actually created a soul bone weapon."

As he excitedly looked at the soul bone weapon in his hands, he thought about something and said.

"A name... I shall call you Frostbane, the sword that brings ice, snow and death to all my enemies."

His eyes gleamed with determination as he thought about what this weapon meant for his future. With this weapon in his arsenal, he would be able to face even stronger opponents, protect those he cared about and accomplish his vengeance. It was a symbol of his growth as a soul engineer and his journey towards becoming a God.

But for now, he needed to rest and replenish his energy. Creating a soul bone weapon had taken a toll on his body and soul. With mental command, the Frostbane turned into snow and ice as it entered into Huo Yuhao's left hand.

"Huu... How long have I been here?" Huo Yuhao groaned as he stretched his arms, feeling his bones popping. He had just exited his secret basement when he heard a commotion from the lobby.

"–You Evil Soul Master! You have three seconds to surrender yourself or I will take your head off!" A unfamiliar female voice was heard, followed by a surge of Holy energy.

"Like I said, for the last ten fucking minutes! I'm not an Evil Soul Master!" Tang Ya's said, frustration and anger evident in her voice.

'... What the fuck?'
