Chapter 7 — Sword Training (1)

After Ning Chen fainted due to exhaustion, Yu Qian personally brought this hidden gem back to his own house at the village.

He laid Ning Chen down on the bed of the guest room and told his daughter, Yu Liena to watch over Ning Chen until he regain his consciousness.

Yu Liena wanted to refuse, but could only agree in the end. In this world, the only one she couldn't beat was Yu Qian.

She sat on the chair next to Ning Chen's bed and started to read some books to pass time.

After it turned exactly at night, Yu Liena raised her eyebrow, as she saw Ning Chen slowly waking up with a groan.

She silently approached him to see if there a problem and after looking at Ning Chen's face, she thought he was like a high-class noble and was also quite good-looking.

Yu Liena was about to go back to her seat, but Ning Chen abruptly grabbed her arms, causing her to flinch in surprise.

"Good morning, my sister," Ning Chen said with his eyes half-closed, as if he was still half-asleep.

Yu Liena was confused, but Ning Chen suddenly kissed her on the forehead, causing her to be stunned.

This guy is so daring...

Ning Chen was still half-asleep and had mistaken Yu Liena for his sister, Ning Rongrong because he was missing her.

[ A/N: Sounds BS, but for the plot.. ;) ]

However, this illusion was quickly shattered as a different yet familiar voice which was completely different from his sister, drifted to Ning Chen's ears, forcing him to wake up completely.

Yu Liena's eyes were twitching as her cold voice sounded, "Are you still half-asleep bastard? I'm not your sister, but Yu Liena!"

Ning Chen was stunned before realizing he had kissed her on the head. He was afraid of Yu Liena of beating him up, so he quickly apologized.

"I'm sorry for what happened earlier. I mistaken you for my sister..."

Yu Liena's expression didn't change as she just nodded. She didn't get violent and just looked weirdly at Ning Chen.

"It's fine, it's not a big deal, but I think you have a more serious problem. Tell me honestly, are you a siscon?" She asked curiously.

Ning Chen immediately knew what she mean and quickly waved his hands in denial.

"Definitely not!"

Yu Liena looked at him with a not-so-convinced expression, but she didn't asked further.

Ning Chen was then glad that Yu Liena wasn't mad at him, but he also felt slightly disappointed to see her not even reacting when he kissed her earlier.

"You should rest more since I heard you pushed yourself too much when you had a sparring match," Yu Liena said and left Ning Chen's room.

Ning Chen stared at the wooden ceiling and then started having a 'I miss my family syndrome'.

Yu Liena closed the door of Ning Chen's room and her cheeks slightly turned pink.

"Tch, that was the first time someone kissed me, not even my father had, but to think I would just be mistaken for someone else," She grumbled quietly, but felt it wasn't that bad since those lips were particularly soft.

...

The next day.

Ning Chen went to the backyard of Yu Qian's large house.

Yesterday at night, Yu Qian came into his room and told Ning Chen to head toward the backyard.

Arriving at the backyard, Ning Chen saw the blue sky was covered in white clouds and Yu Qian was standing underneath a willow tree with his hands behind him.

"Master, why did you want me to come here?" Ning Chen asked politely. He had started to address Yu Qian as master because he was now a member of the Sword Dojo.

Yu Qian turned his head and looked at Ning Chen. "Have you already thought of where to live in this village?"

Ning Chen shaked his head in response.

"You can either live in my house or build your own house inside this village. What option will you choose?"

"Is there no place to temporarily stay here like an Inn?" Ning Chen asked in confusion.

"Precisely," Yu Qian nodded.

Ning Chen contemplated very deeply. He wanted to choose the second to option, but building a new house would take a long time and very troublesome in this village.

He finally decided in the end.

"Can I stay at your house for five years?" Ning Chen asked after coming into a decision.

"Of course, you can," Yu Qian said before his expression became cold. "However, don't think of having any malicious thoughts about my daughter or I'll dig out your eyes and crush your balls."

Ning Chen nodded weakly in fear and promised to not have any thoughts about Yu Liena.

They were truly like father and daughter.

"The real reason I called you here was to start your first ever training," Yu Qian's tone became stern.

"But before we start your training, come in front of me first."

Ning Chen quickly approached Yu Qian, who suddenly grabbed his left arm very firmly.

He tried to shake Yu Qian's hand away because it was very painful, but Yu Qian squeezed his left arm harder, threatening his bones and joints to snap into pieces.

Ning Chen groaned loudly and was puzzled at Yu Qian's action.

Yu Qian's face was extremely serious, he continued to squeeze Ning Chen's left arm stronger.

"Ouch! Ouch! Damn geezer, let go of my arm, okay? It damn hurts!" Ning Chen started cursing as he felt his bones being crushed into pieces.

Thankfully, Yu Qian stopped squeezing his left arm without breaking anything and his face was very bright.

"What was that for?" Ning Chen asked with a dark face.

He felt his left arm aching badly.

"I examined your body," Yu Qian simply answered Ning Chen's question.

Ning Chen looked confusedly at Yu Qian. "How did you examined it by just squeezing my arm?"

"Although I might not look like it, I'm an expert martial artist who is very experienced in the field of eastern medicine and also the human and beast anatomy," Yu Qian said with a very proud smile.

Ning Chen was astonished hearing this kind of backstory from Yu Qian.

"What did you found out about my body?" He asked curiously.

"To put it in simple terms, you're a beast in a human disguise," Yu Qian said with sparkling eyes which made Ning Chen widen his mouth.

Yu Qian continued to explain about Ning Chen's body.

"Your muscles is extremely denser than a normal human and for now I can't accurately determine how dense your muscles is in numbers. Your bones and joints is also harder than normal because if your skeleton was just normal, I'm afraid you will be a human jelly now with those super-dense muscles of yours."

"No wonder why I have some problems at moving when I was very young," Ning Chen felt relief that he didn't ended up having that fate.

"Now that I know about your current condition, I will now start your training which will also be harsher than normal," Yu Qian said while wearing a sadistic smile.

Ning Chen was excited and afraid after hearing those words.

"Summon your spirit first."

Ning Chen nodded and called Kel'al out from his body.

"Then you will swing that sword of yours for ten thousand times in different kinds of angles. After completing the swing part is slash, followed by pierce and chop," Yu Qian slowly instructed.

This was an extremely hard start, but Yu Qian knew that with Ning Chen's spirit beast-like monster body and his medicine knowledge, it would be just slightly hard and everything else would depend on Ning Chen's willpower.

Ning Chen was dumbfounded after hearing his first ever training was about. He had to do each of those simple sword moves for ten thousand times?

Yu Qian saw Ning Chen's expression and asked loudly "Do you not want to? I was expecting a lot more from you, but I guess your determination is still weak."

"No, I will do it!" Ning Chen retorted loudly and was suddenly filled with determination.

"Good! That's the kind fighting spirit I was searching for! Now, start swinging your sword!" Yu Qian grinned widely.

Ning Chen took a deep breath and held his sword with both hands. He started to swing his sword in many angles.

After swinging it for several times, Ning Chen was starting to sweat heavily as he wasn't only just moving his sword, but also his body to change the angle of his strikes.

While Ning Chen was training with his sword, Yu Qian started to explain the purpose of this training.

"Do you know the purpose of this training? It's to let you master every basic moves perfectly down to every cells in your body! Engrave those basic moves into your instinct, so even if your mind fails, your body would still move itself to use your sword to kill or protect!"

"This will also allow you reach the [One With The Sword Realm] and mould your body to be perfectly suitable for the use of the sword if you persevere until the end!"

Ning Chen silently listened to those words and felt his determination to finish this training burning more fiercely.

His sword training that surpassed the torture of hell, soon started.

....

Was the training idea goOD?

I'm thinking of making this a harem, to try something different but I'm still not sure enough.
