Chapter 56 — Blue Dragon Spirit.
At the center and deepest part of the Star Dou Forest, there was a man sitting cross-legged besides a large silver crystal.
He was a handsome man in black robe and possessed a black hair with one golden strand hanging.
He also have a sharp golden eyes with a muscular body and broad shoulders.
The man looked toward the horizon and felt a disturbance on the distant north.
He felt his blood running cold as his complexion turned ashen.
He was able to sense something terrifying at the north through his own dragon bloodline.
A mortal possessing an unknown dragon bloodline had awakened from it's slumber.
It was a dragon bloodline capable of rivalling or even surpassing the former True Dragon God of this world.
The man then turned to face the large silver crystal and muttered quietly while feeling slightly afraid.
"My lord, someone with a terrifying dragon bloodline has awakened..."
Inside the large silver crystal was a beautiful girl with a flowing silver hair.
She was currently in a very deep slumber that would last for thousands of years if nothing disturbed her.

The enormous eastern dragon conjured by Ning Chen pushed the ice dragon's body toward the river.
Ning Chen stood at the edge near the river and sheathed his sword back with his fur cloat fluttering cooly.
The ice dragon floated on the river with his head rolling down his body.
The river was suddenly filled with thick dark red blood on the surface.
Ning Chen decapitated the ice dragon's cleanly apart after using all of his strength.
He recalled his sword back into his body and then eventually collapsed to the ground.
Ning Chen was bleeding profusely with his whole body suffering dangerous injuries after repeatedly breaking his limits.
He knew he couldn't faint now.
Ning Chen went toward the river and immediately felt his whole body shivering in pain and coldness.
He quickly swam toward the ice dragon's corpse using his remaining strength.
He climbed the ice dragon's body and saw a large, domineering black spirit ring hovering above.
Ning Chen inspected this black spirit ring and felt it's energy belonged to a 40,000 years old spirit beast.
This meant that the 'Ice Dragon' was 40,000 years old spirit beast and because of his dragon bloodline, his actual combat prowess surpassed some of the 50,000 years old spirit beasts.
It was very fortunate that Ning Chen managed to defeat the ice dragon.
As he was about to absorb the black spirit ring, Ning Chen suddenly noticed something shining at the ice dragon's back.
Ning Chen saw his enormous dragon wings shrinking and turning into a small blue wings made out of bones.
Ning Chen widened his eyes in shock and excitement seeing this.
This wings was clearly a spirit bone!
And not just any regular spirit bones, but an external spirit bone!
It was known throughout the continent that the external spirit bones is many times rarer than internal spirit bones.
Ning Chen quickly placed the external spirit bone inside his spatial ring and decided to merge with it later.
He planned on absorbing the black spirit ring first because it was gonna dissipate eventually.
Ning Chen touched the black spirit ring with his sword and started to absorb it.
He felt a strong and vigorous energy surging inside his energy pathways — expanding and making it tougher.
The energy also brought a comfortable warmness toward Ning Chen, easing his tensed muscles and nerves.
It also slowly started to drive away the deathly coldness that remained inside his body.
Ning Chen soon lost his consciousness as he was very exhausted and badly injured.
He fell toward the water and started to sink deeply, eventually stopping just above the river's floor.
Ning Chen was still able to breath comfortably despite underwater while absorbing the spirit ring.
He also didn't encountered any mental shock for some reason and was able to absorb the spirit ring peacefully.
Ning Chen's spirit power gradually started to rise and became many times denser and pure compared to before.
The spirit power transformed from it's previous gas state into a liquid state slowly.
His rank slowly increased and stopped at rank 43.
The vast amount of energy also gradually healed his severely injured body.
Ning Chen stayed unconscious under the river for several weeks.
He only woke up after successfully merging with the black spirit ring and instead of feeling discomfort and painful, he felt refreshed and good.
It felt like he shedded his old skin.
Ning Chen was immediately confused to see himself submerged underwater, but was still somehow able to breath.
He stopped thinking about it for now and started swimming toward the surface.
He looked around to see if the ice dragon's corpse was still around, but it disappeared from it's previous place.
The ice dragon was probably eaten by the other spirit beasts.
Ning Chen went out of the river and stood at the ground while still being wet.
He closed his eyes and found many new information appearing inside his mind.
It was about the benefits he received after absorbing the black spirit ring.
<Fourth Sword Color: Blue Dragon Spirit>
Ning Chen's eyes glowed icily as he held his sword and a black spirit ring appeared behind him.
His pink crystal sword changed; becoming icy blue and appeared to become a flexible sword.
This new spirit ring ability made his already potent spirit power more concentrated and as well increase it's regeneration speed by 80%.
His resistance to ice and water also increased by 70%.
Ning Chen didn't just received a new spirit ring ability with the sword, but also with his scabbard.
The scabbard third ability was called 'Dragon—Final Stand'.
This ability allowed Ning Chen to return back to peak state with his physical, mental, and energy conditions returning to normal.
Ning Chen thought this ability was the one ice dragon used to heal himself.
It was a miraculous ability that could change the tide of a battle.
This ability's only problem was it could only he used once a week.
And every time Ning Chen obtained a new spirit ring, it's cooldown would be shortened by one day.
This ability was currently only usable every once a week.
Ning Chen then checked his other spirit rings abilities and saw they also increased by another 10%.
He was prepared to leave this place, but suddenly felt something strange happening.
His crystal sword and scabbard suddenly started to glow with four lights.
Ning Chen felt himself entering a mysterious trance state and frantically mumbled some words.
"Fire. Wind. Earth. Water."
"Four Elements Of World; Constantly Rotating And Supporting Each Other."
Ning Chen's four spirit rings suddenly appeared behind his back in sequence.
The spirit rings then started to form into a strange rotating square pattern.
Many strange ancient and sharp strokes of characters were branded within each spirit rings.
This strange occurrence soon stopped and Ning Chen returned back to normal.
He was confused for a moment before quickly summoning his spirit rings again.
Ning Chen saw his spirit rings appearing to become complex and always in a strange rotating formation.
There were also about the strange characters telling about the four elements of fire, wind, earth and water.
Ning Chen then realized his resistance to the four elements increasing to 70%.
He quickly understand something.
His spirit rings were now constantly complementing each other after he managed to complete the four basic elements that built nature and the world.
Ning Chen recalled his spirit rings and look around with astonishment.
He saw the world being extremely colorful with many lights floating around.
The most prominent color Ning Chen could see were the red, green, brown, and blue color.
Ning Chen was amazed to find out that his affinity with the world had increased so greatly that he could see the elements and flow of the spirit power casually without even needing to concentrate or do anything.
Besides the many color, there was also a colorless light that could be seen everywhere.
It existed everywhere in the world unlike the other elements that were usually less or more in specific areas.
Ning Chen quickly noticed this was the strange particles he was absorbing when using the breathing techniques.
The natural energy.
He was only able to vaguely sense it back then, but he could now clearly sense it.
Ning Chen was excited seeing this as he thought maybe he could now permanently absorb it now, making his master's wish complete!
He quickly tried to absorb the natural energy through the breathing techniques.
He was now able to absorb a large amount compared to before, but then failed as expected in the end.
However, Ning Chen felt it stayed longer in his blood vessels and he had the guts that if he continued experimenting, he would eventually absorb it permanently.
There was also about him awakening his sword intent, the instinct awakening, and the external spirit bone's wing.
Ning Chen decided to spend many months inside the Icebound forest in order to familiarise and consolidate everything he had obtained recently.
He was now thinking of merging the sword intent and instinct awakening into his sword techniques.

I will explain that Ning Chen's dragon bloodline is not exactly the Dragon God(Silver+Golden Dragon King) of the douluo dalu world.
It's his own dragon bloodline which is being created and growing stronger as he gained spirit rings.
Also, because of his unique bloodline, he's one of the special beings that can absorb and perceive natural energy.
Also, time skip next chapter since it will be about him entering Heaven Dou Academy.
