Chapter 12 — Intent
"I'll be taking my leave now since you guys are turning into sword fanatics again," Yu Liena grumbled tiredly.
She soon left the place to allow the two guys do their own things. She locked herself inside her room with no one knowing what she was doing there.
After Yu Liena left, Yu Qian started to slowly tell the sword intent realm toward Ning Chen.
"Do you know what the sword intent reflect from us?" Yu Qian stared profoundly at Ning Chen's eyes.
Ning Chen knitted his eyebrows, pondering for the answer. However, he could only shook his head without knowing it in the end.
Yu Qian didn't minded about Ning Chen not knowing the answer. He instead simply pointed his finger at his chest.
"It's your heart or desire. It's important to remember because the stronger your heart is, the faster your intent grows."
Ning Chen widened his eyes, feeling his chest throbbing painfully, but this pain only lasted for a few seconds.
He felt he was able to comprehend something, but he didn't know what it was.
Yu Qian didn't notice his changes and continued to speak, "The sword intent realm is divided into two levels—the intent seed and sword intent."
"Huh?" Ning Chen was surprise.
This was the first time he heard about this as it wasn't written on the book he received from Yu Qian a long time ago.
"What's the intent seed level?" He asked very curiously.
Yu Qian quickly answered, "The intent seed level doesn't have any uses or effects. It's only a stage that needs waiting until it blooms into a sword intent."
'So like a cultivating stage?' Ning Chen thought.
He next asked the thing he wanted to learn the most. "I see, but how do you form the intent seed?"
Yu Qian smiled and answered shortly, "The creation of intent seed requires your spirit power and many other things. I'll teach it to you later."
Ning Chen nodded while inwardly feeling excited to learn about it. He then asked about the sword intent level.
Yu Qian didn't answered his question immediately. He started rubbing his beard as he fell into a deep thoughts.
"It's hard to explain since I don't know much anything the Sword Law except the basics, but I can give you a simple explanation or example," Yu Qian said after giving it some thoughts.
Ning Chen didn't expect his almost all-knowing master to have things he didn't know.
However, this thoughts were quickly put away as he listened to his master's explanation.
His master said something about a sword spirit with a fire attribute and it's connection to the sword intent.
After reaching the sword intent level and because the sword spirit was fire attribute, it will affect the intent seed and after it advance, it will turn into a Flame Sword Intent.
This flame sword intent would then enhance the sword spirit and it's elemental attribute, making it's every abilities and power to rise by a large margin.
There could also be many other effects depending on the individual who awakened the sword intent.
Ning Chen wondered what kind of sword intent will he obtain in the future after hearing the explanation.
There were also some parts that confused him.
"Master, there are many fire-attribute spirit in the world. Will the sword intent they awaken be the same?" Ning Chen asked in confusion.
Yu Qian shook his head, "Many people can have the flame intent, but almost all of them will be different from each other."
"Thanks for clearing my confusion, master," Ning Chen thanked Yu Qian.
"Enough with that. I will give you a book that tells about the creation of intent seed. Make sure to read it carefully," Yu Qian handed him a fresh-looking book.
It was unknown where he took it from.
Ning Chen took this book with visible fascination.
"Where did you obtain this book, master?"
Yu Qian face suddenly became sorrowful, but it quickly vanished before Ning Chen could see it.
"It's from an old friend and don't ask anymore question," Yu Qian said and continued. "I'll also withhold your second phase training for three months, so spend all of those times to create your intent seed."
The reason was because the earlier Ning Chen make his intent seed, the faster it would advance to sword intent.
Yu Qian then left the place with a dark expression. He went toward the sword dojo in the mountain.
Ning Chen went toward the living room and spent a long time reading the book in the sofa.

Night time.
Ning Chen returned to his own room and sat cross-legged on the bed with Kel'al hovering above his legs.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath to focus his mind to it's peak state.
The reason for all this preparation was because he was now gonna start creating his intent seed
The creation of intent seed didn't need anything fancy like gaining enlightenment or something.
It only needed time and patience.
Ning Chen started to slowly revise the method of creating the intent seed told by the book inside his head.
He started breathing in a strange manner as a mystical air surrounded him.
Thump!
Thump!
Ning Chen and Kel'al became one and both of their heartbeat united, resounding through the air like a sharp and overbearing sword.
His spirit power began to circulate through his pathway, concentrating in amount as it all gathered toward his chest.
Ning Chen's mind became empty. His own consciousness separating from his body as he tried to sense the world's heartbeat.
This process was very time-consuming and Ning Chen had to take many breaks before continuing again.
Time slowly flowed in Ning Chen's own perception as he diligently tried to sense the world with great patience.
It has been a month since he started and Ning Chen was finally able to hear a faint yet extremely powerful waves of pulse coming from everywhere.
This was the world's own heartbeat.
Ning Chen was extremely glad that his effort paid off in the end. There was nothing more satisfying than this.
He opened his eyes and he was greeted with a beautiful world painted with countless different colors that sparkled like small stars.
Ning Chen noticed those colors were the many different energy born from the world.
"Now that I can now sense it, I need to make my heart and sword to resonate with it together," Ning Chen muttered as he created many seals with his hands.
"The boundless heart as the vessel; human and sword resonating with the heaven and earth; the endless desires as the essence and the spirit power as the catalyst to create the intent seed," Ning Chen mumbled quietly.
His heart, sword and the world began to resonate, causing strong ripples to appear like waves on the countless colors in the air.
Ning Chen's spirit power reached it's peak and rushed to his chest like a never-ending river.
He was slowly feeling himself growing closer with the many colors floating with the air.
The spirit power and an unknown ethereal-looking substance inside his heart began to condense into a colorless seed-looking in his chest.
After the colorless seed was created, it slowly began to to revolve, quietly absorbing the various color from the air to nurture itself.
Ning Chen stared at this colorless seed and smiled widely, "I've managed to create my own intent seed! I only need time and the right opportunity to make turn it into a sword intent!"
Although nothing major happened to Ning Chen after creating it, he felt his affinity with the sword and world becoming better.
Ning Chen closed his eyes and he arrived inside an ocean filled with swords.
This ocean was not the same as before and was instead split into two colors.
The left side of the ocean being white and left side being black.
Ning Chen was located at the middle of the ocean where the two colors were slightly mixed together.
He looked downward and saw he was still very far-away from reaching the bottom.
However, Ning Chen was certain he would reach the bottom if he trained and refine his desire enough.

The intent will be explained more in the future and does it fit well with the story?
I have a hard time writing this because I wasn't satisfied with everything I written. Is the explanation clear and not confusing?
