2 Fortunate Encounter
Ao Si Ka easily navigated through the slum district like he knew it from the back of his mind. He then enters the main road, and slowly made his way towards the city gates.
Onced he arrives at the city gates. He saw large numbers of people entering and exiting the city, through the city gates.
They were busy going on with their daily lives and business. It was normal for them, but for Ao Si Ka it was strangely nerve wrecking. He was with met with the cold gaze met of the armed city gate guards.
Though they showed no sign of hostility towards Ao Si Ka, who was currently only a seven years old child, with barely any meat on his bones. So he could hardly be considelred a threat, so they weren't necessarily wary of him.
However, considering the current state that which Ao Si Ka is currently in; dirt poor beggar attire, murky hair, and his body smells. It seems that he has not been taking baths for weeks or even months. It is no surprise that the armed city guard's felt a deep sense of pity, at the sametime, disgust for the poor state he is in.
One of the nearby armed city guard's, who couldn't handle the smell, looked at Ao Si Ka's poor dirty tattered attire. With a light sighs, he coldly said. "Get lost kid..."
The armed city guard reluctantly shoo the boy away, not wanting to be associated with the beggar child himself. He wanted the child to be quickly out from his sights, as he already has enough mouth and people to feed; his family, wife, and kids to feed on his low city guard income salary.
Ao Si Ka hurriedly walks through the city gates, and exits the city, with his eyes down in order to lower some of the discomfort from people staring at him.
'I intended to look for a 100 years old yellow spirit ring for my first spirit, but at my current fighting capabilities, battling a 100 years old spirit beast seems almost completely impossible.' Ao Si Ka thought, as he carefully trudges through the outer regions of Star Dou forest.
Absorbing a spirit ring would certainly alleviate his cultivation base to the next level. It allows him to breakthrough from the spirit scholar stage to the spirit master stage, taking the first step into the long road of becoming a a spirit master.
His foot steps were incredibly quiet, as he paid close attention to his surroundings, aware of the dangers of ferocious spirit beast.
Ao Si Ka summoned his tool knife spirit, which looks like an ordinary looking kitchen knife. He clutches the handle tightly with his child size hand, firmly grasping with his small fingers, in a slashing position.
He holded the knife almost like a dagger, with the knife blade pointing outward right direction, instead of the typical knife stabbing motion.
With that being said, Ao Si Ka is not afraid of dying, as it rather necessary to kill in order to become a Spirit Master. One won't survive for long without ever dirtying their own hands.
Soon he began to notice that the bushes nearby him were rustling, so he assumed that there is wandering spirit beast nearby. So Ao Si Ka quickly hid behind a tree, hiding his childlike figure, as he secretly trails off observing the shaking bushes at a distance.
The green leaves on the bushes were rustling. There was a heavy scent of blood in the air, as the footsteps becomes more louder, the closer it approaches his location. The identity of the spirit beast lurking within the forest is sooned revealed.
The creature walked on four legs, but its front right legs was heavily injured, almost crippling the poor creature itself.
Its original greyish black fur was now dyed in red, covered in scars and numerous flesh wounds. Its right front canine molar was completely shattered. The battle wounds on its body were so deep that you could eventually see the bones poking out from underneath the layer of flesh.
'Judging from how fresh the wounds are on the wolf spirit beast. The battle was quite intense and most likely recent. It must have survived a life and death battle, now barely hanging at death's doors.' Ao Si Ka thought analysing the situation.
The creature revealed itself to be a 421 years old ghost wolf, roughly over half a meter in height. It's full size is slightly bigger than a full grown bull.
The ghost wolf itself is dying, breathing ruggedly, and out of breathe. iIt has lost too much blood in its body that barely any oxygen ever made it to his lungs completely. Its eyes becoming cloudy, slowly losing whatever liveliness it has left within those eyes.
The ghost wolf no longer has any further strength to support its large body, so its four legs immediately gave out, and it falls on all four. The body of the ghost wolf softly tumbles to the ground.
'Now is my chance.' Ao Si Ka thought, 'If I were to get the last hit, I may be able to absorb the ghost wolf as my first spirit ring for my knife spirit.'
Ao Si Ka then runs out from his hiding spot, over towards the collapsed body of the ghost wolf, with his knife ready to inflict the last blow.
The 421 years old ghost wolf stares at Ao Si Ka's small tiny figure approaching it, it begrudgingly accepted its own fate, resigning itself to its own destiny. The ghost wolf closes its eye in submission, prepared for the final blow inflicted by Ao Si Ka to end its unending misery.
Ao Si Ka's knife halted in mid air for a sec, before it is brung down upon the dying 421 years old ghost wolf. The knife pierced through the skin and flesh, hitting the hard skull of the ghost wolf, that which Ao Si Ka applied even more force into his arm strength where even his palm start to turn slightly red because of the overwhelming strength he is exerting out from his body.
"Come on, just a little more and it will all be over.' Ao Si Ka said, as he heard a small quiet crack in the dying ghost wolf's skull.
Crack! Crack!
The sound of something breaking, as the knife blade became dislodged, it made its way through the ghost wolf's hard skull. The 8 inches long kitchen knife stabbed into the skull of the ghost wolf and pierces the brain of the ghost wolf.
The ghost wolf's body ceased to stopped moving, its shallow hard breathing stops. The lifeforce in its semi closed eyes dissappears, as its conciousness vanishes, quickly melding with the darkness.
A glowing vibrant yellow spirit rings has risen out from the dead 431 years old ghost wolf's body.
"Finally." Ao Si Ka exclaimed out in joy at his fortunate lucky encounter.
'Thank you, ghost wolf for becoming my spirit ring. If there is a chance that you may have a second chance of life, I hope you have pleasant life in your next life.' Ao Si Ka offered a small prayer for the recently deceased ghost wolf.
Even though, he doesn't personally know the ghost wolf himself. Ao Si Ka knew that the life of a spirit beast is extremely harsh when compared to actual spirit master. Danger lurks on every road and corner on the path of cultivation.
With a thought, he willed the yellow spirit ring to fly on over towards him, as Ao Si Ka begins the process of assimilating the 421 years old ghost wolf's spirit ring into his knife spirit.
The absorption process was not even that difficult, as it stayed within the upper boundaries of optimal spirit ring that a spirit scholar could handle.
However, the rate of absorption was quite slow. It was quite taxing on Ao Si Ka's mental fortitude, so he perservere and endured the long process of absorption.
It took roughly half a hour for himself to absorb the 421 years old ghost wolf spirit ring.
The sound of rumbling emanating from within Ao Si Ka's spiritual sea became all the more prominent, as he has successfully broken through the spirit scholar stage and directly entered the spirit master realm.

The spirit skill ghost warrior's transformation allow the user to alter the shape and form of the knife spirit, as black ghastly smoke emanates from the newly transformed knife spirit.
In this newly transformed state, the knife spirit can phase through solid object as though if it was an actual ghost.
However, if the target spirit power concentration is extremely high, the difficulty of the knife spirit phasing through the solid entity becomes all the more harder.
