3 Chapter 1.2, Train Hard?

Tang Jie then, explained the history of tang sect to the children in front of him. All of them were moved by how Tang sect kept existing even when reaching to a point that only one person remained in the clan. Most them really wanted to join the sect. However, none of the children had as much potential as Ling Lei. Tang Jie didn't mind this and reached them that they could pursue something other than cultivation, science.

"Well when we were going over the sect's history, I have mentioned about the soul guidance weapons. Some of these weapons can also be controlled by regular people, who might not even possess a single thread of soul power. Of course, you must still have the knowledge to use them. After listening the fully positive speech of Tang Jie the children who were sad because they were weak gained hope. After all, they wanted to be part of this sect who had saved them from the hell on earth.

This was not the case for Si Liuqi, though. He rather wanted to cultivate as hard as he can, and become shrek student before he is at the age of 12. He wanted to achieve this thorough honest work, without using any materials at all.

A week full of common sense, history and cultivation classes went by. By trying to cultivate like crazy everyday, Liuqi felt like he was improving but he felt like it would at leas take him a year to achieve breakthrough. When he cultivated, he always felt like he was about to comprehend something. But that feeling always dissapeared when he was just about to reach it. It felt very weird, he felt like he was being watched by someone, and became really paranoid.

This sense of paranoia actually helped him gain some sort of sense where he started to hear some distinct water dropping voices from all the place, but when he looked around he saw that no one around him, even the currently one ringed Ling Lei, was unable to hear them. Liuqi was already used to this voice by now, but was still curious.

Ling Lei had recently obtained a newly released artificial beast soul, who had 400 years of cultivation power. He was accepted as a great elder of Tang Sect's personal disciple, and he acted like a good guy when he was with others. However, when he was alone with Liuqi, he always punched him in the stomach hard enough to make him quiver in pain.

Si Liuqi tried to tell this to the tang sect members but they chose to believe in Ling Lei who was a great elder's personal disciple. They also thought that Ling Lei had a great personality, since he was chosen by a great elder. They had also punished Si Liuqi for lying by taking away his desert during the meal time.

The days kept going, and time flew like a breeze. A total of 4 years had passed. Si Liuqi who cultivated at least 10 times as his peers was only able to level up by one to achieve Level 5. As for Xia Qing's letters had stopped coming when she went into seclusion to break through and become a soul sage, becoming a soul sage by the age of 30 was only done by even what shrek considered as "elites".

Ling Lei on the other hand was already level 18, and was basically guaranteed to join shrek college in the future, however if he chose to stay in tang sect no one would judge him, as he would be able succeed the great elder's, no, they thought that he would be able to become the Tang Sect Master in the future!

The opposite could be said for Si Liuqi who was a joke in the whole sect. Even though the members of tang sect didn't deliberately made fun of him, they never took him seriously.

After some thought, Liuqi thought that he should probably leave tang sect. He didn't want to leave because he was bullied. He had 3 other more important reasons to live. First, he felt like tangs sect was not the place he was fated to be part of. Second, He wanted to find clues about his lost "family" and he could no longer be as patient anymore. Third and Finally, when he became level 5 he was able to hear a voice talking to him.

"Go... to... the... sea..."

"Why?"

"Your...fate...awaits, you... must...go..."

"Do I really have to? The food is great here, Spirit Eyes styled fish is my favorite"

"You...must...go...if...you...want...to...find...answers."

"Answers? Like can I learn where Number 1 and Number 466 are kept in? Can I know why it's so hard for me to cultivate? Amnesia?"

"Number...will...depend...you..capability."

After the inner exchange, the voice had stopped talking and also did not answer back when Liuqi asked a question to it.

"At least give me directions, please"

"Northeast" answered the voice who seemed taken aback.

The day later Si Liuqi left the sect really early in the morning, before any of the children could see him leave.
